Great video. I think one advantage people who achieve more have is that they have trained, or at least habituated, their minds to be entertained by productive things. (And BTW resting on Sunday like your grandpa and mine did is one of the most productive things a person can do, as it gives one strength for another busy week ahead.)

Yea for sure!! That rest day is definitely a game changer. I think you're right, training the mind like that definitely give anybody an advantage in achieving more.

This is great. It comes off genuine and heartfelt. I think your message speaks the most to people with the means, time, and capability to achieve their goals, but are discouraged or unmotivated. Talent doesn't mean anything if it isn't backed by hard work. You gotta pay your dues.

Great points made here my friend! These days using devices to learn is how people learn. TVs come with smart enabled devices so they are interactive. So it’s hard to determine what one is doing in a rental on a TV. That being said, I’m 46, I’m a maintenance man like yourself. I started out at 16 cutting yards. Tried college for a semester. Fire sprinkler mechanic, car mechanic, cable technician, hotel maintenance, nursing home maintenance, assisted living maintenance. Dad of five children. Tenant most of my life. I have found that the things one does throughout life prepares them. It’s training. Training to move forward and learn how to become successful outside of work by making a home purchase and the things that are involved in that process. For me, the hard work, hours and dedication along with having an open mind and trying a lot of different jobs enabled me to easily navigate my way into being successful at home. In my home purchase, cars that I purchase etc. To me the driving point of your video is to do it yourself don’t wait on others. Don’t waste time become productive and use time management. My two cents brother but I do what you do so I already know hehe. God Bless.

So unfortunate, so much wasted time and talent. I was fortunate to have been raised by someone 2 generations ahead of me. And to me it's sad that some of the newer generations can't see how much this wasted time will eventually cost them later. Thanks for you comment!!

I think hard work can make the world an easier place to live in. It may seem hard but in reality it makes life in general more manageable.

There's a lot of irony here. A hard worker vs somebody lazy that complains yeah the hard worker will get further. But the people who get really really ahead operate at a totally different mindset, and they don't work even a fraction of what you do, they do short precise burst in the right direction, much more effective than mindless grinding. Also the same dude looking down on the tenant but who was unable to learn the language of his adoptive country in 60 years is quite funny.

I see your point, my granpa lived in a border town (Nogales Arizona) and he didn't really need English there. Also I have never met anyone that could maintain wealth or money working in bursts. I have seen some make money that way but it was never sustainable. Of course there must be some somewhere in the word I have just never met one myself. Every one with money I've ever met is a really hard worker.

@@MaintenanceManNarratives I see it a lot in the tech sector. It's not strange for people with roles as security engineer for example to make over 200K working 5 hours a day, it takes a large investment in education upfront but in the end will outrun most grinders while working less.

Yeah I get what’s you’re saying people don’t advance in life is they’re not disciplined and spend they’re free time relaxing. They are certain habits that people who are successful exhibit. It’s more beneficial spending your time doing things that will help you “get ahead” then again not everyone wants to have it all.. To each their own.

Ofcourse! Some are completely happy in any circumstance and some would rather relax and enjoy life without having to stress about money. Everyone sees life differently and has different goals and that's perfectly fine.

You are good. But I disagree with what you kept calling as "talent/talents/talented". If I only could just replace the word "talent" with "idleness" then suddenly everything you said would make perfect sense. And you are wrong when you say that you yourself are not very talented but then again everyone has the right to see themselves in different lights. For example, you prefer to consider yourself among hard workers. Another thing is that most people consider accumulation of wealth as success and you seem to suggest that as well (indirectly or maybe even unintentionally). But, surely you know that is not always the case as some of the most impactful characters in the history did not aim at wealth, so I am not going to name them. Anyway brother thanks for teaching us some good maintenance technics.

I just believe alot of very talented poeple are wasting valuable time. And I know that hard work is a key for financial progress. I realize that alot of poeple don't care about money, but sometimes I hear them complain about the world around them.

@@MaintenanceManNarratives But sometimes their concerns are valid. There are a lot of very reckless yet very successful individuals out there running most shows for the majority of the world. Some of them,in one way or another love to make money when people play on the their cell phone or computer for hours everyday. That is a new addiction and those who addict these people and provide the necessary material are currently acting totally legally. But of course those individuals who make excuses and waste their own lives, are hurting themselves and others around them. Although the concept of doing meaningful things varies from one person to another or one culture to another. Thanks again but now I have to go to work.
