Can I use my tankless water heater with only my 200 watt solar power panels?
@FlightTrax-14 күн бұрын
Not only did you explain this very well, and with great camera work, but you covered all of it too. I have a 2016 F.R. Rockwell Signature 8289WS 5th Wheel, and was very unsure of how the valve worked. It has the underbelly covering, so I couldn't see the valve to begin with. Online I saw the external gate which this one had, I am going to get that too. But I don't like the idea of getting under the RV in dirt either.. It has a long pull rod out the side at the bottom, not exactly like the one in this video. So, I will have to investigate to find whether it has a cable, or direct as some show. But at least I have an idea of what to expect. And for that I am grateful for this video, and thank you. I just don't know what to search for to find the new valve. I will keep trying.

So what’s your opinion when resealing a roof with let’s say “Rubber Roof” you clean & prime then use eternabond then seal the entire roof with 4 coats of Rubber Roof.I used eternabond & used dicor along the sides of the tape to prevent any leaks but then as mentioned I used the primer & 4 coats of Rubber Roof encapsulating everything.Your thoughts???

Yea, not recommending this channel, I'm a paid KZbin watcher (watch/listen while working on reports lol) I spent a month researching this and will be going with eternabond and then Henry's tropicool. It should out live me

Well done video. I haven't done this in over 40 years (my father was a mechanic I would help him repack the bearings on our cars back in the day). I'll be doing this over the winter on my camper, so a great refresher on how to do it. Thanks!

Great video with one exception. The blue wire is NOT board input power. The blue wire is the fault output voltage that goes to the fault LED light after 3 failed attempts to light the burner flame.

As a technician I disagree with your statement that they do not prevent water damage. Slides are notorious for leaking because of all the seams, potential entry points and the fact that they are flat. With proper maintenance a slide topper can prevent water damage. Looked at one the other day. All the rail seals were compromised and if not for the slide topper they would have water going right in. It’s a lot easier to keep an eye on 40 screws and a fabric for preventative maintenance then it is on a whole slide. Had another case where the slide roof was bowed in the center causing water damage. Owner couldn’t afford the quote to fix- and slide topper it was, worked great no more water entry. They have their purpose for preventing water damage. Thanks for posting

@2-old-Forthischet24 күн бұрын
I use Flexseal paint on my trailer roof. It goes right over the original seals and covers well. My trailer is 10 years old and has never had a leak. It never cracks and stays somewhat flexible. I really don't care what the roof looks like.

The push in style receptacles are more of a concern than the wagos. Europe uses wago connectors for most tasks and in practice are far safer than wire nuts. There are plenty of comparison videos all over KZbin between the two showing standard wire nuts safety faults. If you’d like more information check out videos from the likes of bigclive. Improper installation is a manufacturer issue but it’s just as easy to have a loose connection with a wire nut.
@stevekight195528 күн бұрын
After 50 years in the commercial electrical trade, i have to say you are wrong. When installed properly, wirenuts are a lot safer and longer lasting than Wagos. They use Wagos in Europe because they use stranded, smaller gage wire. The U.S. mostly uses solid conductors, twisted together to form a tight, low resistance connection even before applying the wire nut. Wagos are great for less skilled Harry Homeowner electrician types.

You check the topper each time before bringing it in. Look for debris and removing if necessary. That is the only issue we have had in 6 years. You also do the same for the awning. Also, check the mechanisms that there is no sticks or pinecones, etc.

just because a guy makes $20 an hour working somewhere doesn't mean you should listen to all their advice. All it usually means is they were taught this by some other idiot. This is awful inexperienced advice. Dicor is a garbage RV industry invention for faster mass production. period. ANYTHING installed improperly is a bad idea.

Good video RV Tech, may I suggest less motion with your camera or use of a pedestal and better editing. It would make it easier for newbies to follow your recommendations and your chain-of-thought. I know it takes time but some of your viewers ask very pertinent questions that are left unanswered - at least on this video. Thank you, Ciao, L
@lauriefriedoАй бұрын
The issue our water heater is having is that it will light perfectly fine and run for some amount of time. Sometimes it’s 20 minutes other times it’s a minute or two. Then it will shut off but immediately restart itself. Then after a some time it will shut off and then start again. The duration it runs is random. Sometimes it’s up to 20 minutes but usually it only runs for a few minutes or even as short as 30 seconds. Sometimes the reset light comes on and we have to turn it off, wait a minute and turn it back on. It stays in this on off loop until we either have hot enough water and get sick of listening to it or sometimes it will eventually decide to stop running we presume because the water temperature is hot enough. We’re not sure which of the parts you went over would be the likely issue there. It seems to run fine when using electric instead of gas but we’re not really sure since it doesn’t make the sounds with electric.
