Do you have a video on how to completely diagnose a tankless?
@alexisstock54862 күн бұрын
My tankless is stuck in freeze mode and isn't wanting to restart. Ive tried leaving my hot water heater completely off for a week via control panel, ive tried turning off via the temp gauge and restarting via temp gauge and none have worked. I bought a new one but it's the middle of winter in the rockies and I want to try simplest answers first

Great video, appreciate the info. Side note, the audio cuts low and has to re-normalize to come back up after cut in the editing. If you can, try to be continuous with recording, helps the audio stay stable.

What sealant do you recommend for those slide rooms?
@jameslewis89993 күн бұрын
Yes they are very damaging to your wiring. I have a grain elevator 200 yards to my north, and another on apx 1/4 mile to my south. I use my Motorhome even when I'm parked at the house. I don't have a mice problem. For one, they don't like company for nesting, there are outside cats around, (not mine) my 7.5 lb dog is constantly with me out there. Mice don't like it. I don't know your situation so can't give much viable advice. I remove all food and water sources when I leave to go inside. If you are just storing your RV and no commotion to bother them, then they will flourish and multiply. First from watching the video, get a couple of cats. I'm not a cat person but can tolerate them better than mice. Poison works but dead mice will stink bad. Also look into frequency emitting devices for the purpose of driving them off.

Why do they put the furnace under the water heater. Mine has leaked onto the furnace and destroyed the board.

What about a bow in a slide topper? Mine is 13 feet long and has a bow in it and bran new. The bow causes water to pool in the center when it rains.
@Jason_of_riviaКүн бұрын
Longer slide toppers can have a similar version of this part shown in the video, the difference is that it has rollers that the cylinder sits on.
@Jason_of_riviaКүн бұрын
It sounds more like you have a tension issue with the fabric though.
Күн бұрын
@Jason_of_rivia I added a couple extra turns of tension to it from what the factory had it at when I installed it. I've seen other people complain because of how long they are theirs do the same and they put a beach ball or something under it to keep water from pooling up which is ridiculous to me to have to do

I had to change out my double valve since it had cracked at the valve. I watched the video but does it ever turn out that way? It turned into a half day in the Chihuahuan desert sun. It was lovely. But after it was all done, it felt great knowing that it would last awhile. Your videos are a fantastic resource.

I own a camper. It has only been pulled once. From the dealer to my land for a permanent set up for my mother to live in. In my opinion campers are the biggest scam, waste of money, POS BS I think that has ever been invented. The dang this is falling apart just sitting there under a metal awning. I'd rather just pay for motel rooms than drag one of those shit boxes behind my truck. I don't have to clean or repair anything with a motel room. I think it's much cheaper anyway. The one I bought was $30,000. That would go a long way on rooms and gas in my wifes car.

Rather than attempting to wipe the grease and debris out of the hub I prefer to flush them clean with a solvent based parts cleaner. I also completely flush the bearings clean to remove all debris before packing. If reusing the brake assembly I wash it down with brake cleaner. I was trained by an automotive mechanic and an automotive machine shop so I have a firm belief that parts should be clean before lubricated. I adapted a full size shop parts cleaner to a mobile setup for my trailer for this reason.

They make a brush for that bro, and one for straightening fins. Don’t know what the condenser has to do with cooking or pet hair but ok.
@Thatrvtech12 күн бұрын
I never said it specifically affected the condenser, that’s more of an evaporator thing. I’m aware they make special tools for this, I own them. My channel is to educate everyday RV owners, who don’t have a truck full of tools.
@Triumphium12 күн бұрын
@ idk man, that brushing could push all that debris in and make things worse, little spray with water and blow out with some duster or a little air compressor would work better

I turn my pc off when we use are electric skillet cuz i think its 1500watts? Same with are toaster oven, pc goes off. I'll leave 1 tv on and overhead led lights but nothing else. People do stupid stuff like overloading their electrical service. Case in point, space heaters, they get a bum rap when it is their misuse that is the problem. They are perfectly safe if in good condition, are connected through appropriate wiring, and are used properly.
@jimgeorger445213 күн бұрын
Seems like a step backward in this electric age. In a campground with 100% electric service. We will burn fossil fuels to wash our hands.

What causes a dometic waterheater not to reheat on gas
@Thatrvtech14 күн бұрын
If it heats but does not heat again, the main culprit would be that the ECO is weak and opening before the Tstat, causing a fault. The second possibility would be a bad board.

My Dexter's manual recommends Gasket sealer, RTV, high temp Red Permatex. I also noticed there is a pitted service right after the inner bearing. I am assuming that's normal. Would using regular high temp permatex for the seal be wrong if it's not RTV?
