1) if your not handy can fix things don’t do it 2) if the unexpected pisses you off - don’t buy a rv ( new or used) 3) if you don’t like maintenance that never stops. Don’t buy a rv 4) if you can’t deal with the very unexpected bs of RVing.. stay away from buying one. 5) read all 4 reasons, again.. Mobile rv tech 30 Yrs.. …. Good luck and enjoy .. But, wife and I full time rvin’ in a toy hauler.. and absolutely love it .. going on 5 yrs…. Still going strong..

I’ve kept log books like you mention. I used a D-ring binder, with regular writing pages I can add to; Manila envelopes with holes punched in the side to hold service records, warranties, checklists, instructions for various systems, and other important documents. Label the Manila envelopes for easy identification. Include a daily mileage log. Section dividers with plastic tabs are a big help. Keep the log book in a safe place where you have immediate access to it, and it won’t get wet or have torn pages. Keep a pen in the pocket on the inside cover.

Cass says, Oh, and it is refreshing that you have not tried to sell us something from your Amazon store. Great.

Thank you! This is great information even though we’ve been at this for years. There’s a big learning curve in the RV world and you have to be handy! We started off with an 18’ Winnebago Brave 49 years ago when we got married, drove cross country and settled in CO. We started again with a TT in 2000 then a FW in 2010 and just upgraded to a new FW. RV’s are like grandchildren every time you take them out you have to buy them something! Except right now it’s under warranty luckily.

Great job Nick. Learning a lot watching your You Tube videos. Concise and to the point. How about a video on composting toilets? YoGo and Nature's O wn are two good ones. Direct urine deposit to black tank only. Helps in solids build up, orders and conserves water. Safe travels. 😊

Can you do a video on 12v refrigerator run time? I’ve been looking for a good one but none out there and you do the best job explaining rv units.

Thank you for the reminders. I have a question. I've been seeing people using tide laundry pods in the black tank. What do you think about that?

Great video, very honest and realistic. We're selling our 90's era trailer and getting a 2017, any major differences over that period of time I should be aware of?

I give one pump of grease into each bearing before each trip…. Is that a good practice or overkill? We usually go on 10-15 weekend trips a season ….

Do you have any tips on getting an AC to stop dripping on the inside? I've had it to the dealer twice because I thought it was freezing up. They say there's nothing wrong, it works fine. It is a ductless AC and is above the dinette and does not reach the bedroom, which is in the front of the RV. We like to keep it around 70*. We use a fan to help keep in cooler in the BR.
