I don't get it, Xway offroad oriented but thinner tire?
@kylewest28265 күн бұрын
Yes. Counter-intuitively, a wider tire is NOT ideal for off road performance. I ride motorcycles and dirt bikes, so I compare it to bikes. There's a reason a tall/skinny 21" knobby up front is standard dirt bikes and off road bikes: it holds a line better in a turn, doesn't get pulled around by ruts, it knifes into the ground vs floats like a fat 17" sumo tire riding off road. A 21" tire also rolls over obstacles easier, similar to 29" tires being common on mtn bikes and emtnbikes now. So, a taller, skinnier tire is better off road. A fat tire, all things equal, will generally be worse off road.

The handle really wouldn't be a factor for me with this wheel. If it has the ability to stand up to the type of abuse that riders would be giving this wheel, I'm all in.

Got an OG batch one Patton. Haven't had any issues with it. Great wheel. Wish Patton-S was a bit more of an upgrade but it looks great that they refined it and trimmed some weight. Great price too about $400 USD less than I paid for my Patton.
@hannahschumacher1299Күн бұрын
The standard patton is cheaper @ 2750 compared to the S which is @ 2850. Not trying to say the S is worse, it's actually leagues better (Smart bms, Hall sensor fix, weight reduc, fixed seat & bumpers, etc.) But to say that the Patton S is cheaper is untrue just so you're aware. Not a big deal though, I'm a patton fangirl so I'm with you on that

The first thing i did to my lynx was remove the tube. which acquired a flat after two days of riding the lynx, brand new. i removed the tube, added a tubeless valve stem and rode almost 5000 miles without any issues (no flat tires), running tubeless. i sold the lynx, and purchased a sherman L which i am very happy that the sherman L came tubeless. if any euc i purchase comes with a tube, the first thing i will do is switch to tubeless, immediately. this is considered a minimum requirement. i really like tubeless very much, and significantly less flat tires as well. and easy to plug a flat with tubeless (if needed).

@BigORider17 күн бұрын
At 3:42 the tire has been worn down considerably. Does this affect anything?
@jonoeuc16 күн бұрын
yes good point. my best guess is that now its flatter. meaning better stability at slow speeds, reduced range/battery use (larger contact patch), increased wobbles and train tracking. Reduced offroad grip, improved torque (smaller tire diameter). It'd be cool to test the difference if i put on a brand new tubeless shinko 241.
@EUCme17 күн бұрын
Hi Jono. I didn't see any update on the pinned comment. Is the process the same for the Lynx and by extension, the "L"? Thanks.
@jc84com17 күн бұрын
Yes, pretty interesting. I'm a big fan of the 241. Smooth, consistent profile. I get a good 8,000+ kilometers out of it on a master v4. but absolutely comes down to your tyre pressure and ride style. Tubeless is a hell no for me, especially With the machine I have and the manufacturers on how they are setting up the rims. Absolutely low-quality tubes will blow out the valve stems. The major headache of having to take a tubeless to get seated at a shop. I'm sure once all the manufacturers get their act together with a high quality profile rim and I see the TNT244 being a factory standard. The only thing I don't like about the 244, it has a very vibration-y profile especially compared to the Ultra Smooth 241. quite ironic considering they call 244 street combo. I'm just an old fashioned grumpy old man with a tube.

Jon, where did you get shinko 241 tubeless tire for lynx? Had bad crash on v12 ht from valve stem rip. Ripped 3 times on that euc. Keep pressure at about 36 now to help. Got the tubeless on my lynx that came with it, have 2000 miles on it and ordered the 241 tube style. Saw one fellow used tube tire as tubeless and ut did well he says. Love your videos sir.

It seems to be way too common and extremely dangerous. Mine was fine for 3000km then tore and went flat overnight.
@grb196918 күн бұрын
Threadlock is incompatible with plastics; unless your tubeless valve has silicone gaskets. Monitor tire pressure closely for a month to exclude possible slow leak due to gasket degradation.
@jonoeuc17 күн бұрын
Hopefully it stayed on the threads and didn't run into the upper gasket. I think the stem is painted steel.

The last one has (plural )wheels . Weird. Good job. Any interest in reviewing a Falcon?
@EUCme25 күн бұрын
I love my Falcon, it's effortless. I think I heard there might be a Falcon Pro in 2025. It's like a mini Extreme. It's a niche unit that's fun, can easily lift and place in a shopping cart. IS IT WORTH $1,700 USD from eWheels: Yes and no. In the niche category, I think it is the best in class against similar models. In performance, I think it is worth $1,100. I bought it for the easy acrobatics, stunts, and as a trainer for others. I don't regret it. Love to see Jono on it and the Pro.

In the video misspoke and said when you take one wheel off! very fitting for that dual wheel euc. Yeah the Falcon was on the show floor. So I had a quick look and would love to review it further. No test ride that day unfortunately. my only takeaway was that it is very small.
