FYI: You're right. The angel can exist in different forms. For example Angel Jibreel (AS) came to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in the form of a man. Angels (AS) came to Ibrahim (PBUH) in the form of men. Angels (AS) also came to Lot (PBUH) in the form of humans. So.this is one form that we know of.

This is just my personal opinion. I truly believe that the events of Isra' and Mi'raj were phenomenal and that event truly happened because it was written in the Holy Quran. As explained in the Holy Quran regarding the Big Bang and embryology, the Isra' and Mi'raj journey is a journey that I think current technology has not yet achieved, it could be inter-dimensional, inter-galactic or inter-universe travel. My analogy is like this, imagine if you were an ancient human before the Stone Age, then in front of you there was a spaceship ready to take you to the moon, could you explain what it was? So it's as simple as that, cause current technology cannot explain the events of Isra' and Mi'raj, maybe in 100 years, 1000 years or 1 million years, we don't know. If in the 10th century someone said that in the future people would travel by flying, would that person be said to have gone crazy?

The angels have a will, they can make choices, the difference is that their will is always submitted to Allah, so their choices will always be those that please Allah, which is worship. Unlike human beings, their will is influenced by worldly desires and worldly desires can be subjugated to bad and harmful acts, like: drugs, overeating, jealousy, etc. Angels don't sleep, they don't eat, they are not in need of these, they don't have bowels and a digestive system and they don't get tired, since replenishment is also connected to a digestive system, so they don't have to relieve themselves either. Like he says, the are pure. That doesn't mean that mankind is impure, in some way we are, because we are subjigated by desires and are as such flawed, there is no single person that ahsn't sinned. But Still Allah has called human beings the best creation of all, better than the angels and the Jinn, you might think, this is weird since angels are perfect, It's logical to think that, but, if an angels can worship Allah without any obstacles and difficulties and a human being is worshipping Allah in difficulties, hardships, hunger, tiredness, sickness, hurt, sadness, all these immens obstacles for a human being that could cause them to give up or slack and yet those who keep going despite all of these obstacles, bringing all these sacrifices and keep worship Allah to all their abilities, these are the ones that are being classed "best of All creation", for an angels it's easy to worship Allah, because they have nbo desires except the one to obey Allah. A 6'6" tall NBA player against a 5'7" tall guy at the yard and the smaller guy beats the NBA player, impressive... Who do you call better? Best of All creation in worship. This is just a small perspective of creation, I hope it gives a good understanding as how we Muslims follow our religion
