Why farangs love to squat in Thailand? They cannot afford the high std of living in their own country with their megre pensions. It's cheaper to rent rooms or a house here, cheaper boom boom here as the ladies are younger than in their own country. The food n beers are cheaper. Pity the farangs having to leave their birth place to go squat in another country.😅

Reminds me of Classic forest restuarant in my local town Banphe, Rayong. This is a nicer location for sure. Won't be long before the buses arrive in their droves.

I really like that place 'the Hill' and wish the owners well however think it is a bit out of the way and maybe not on the radar of Chiang Mai tourism so hopefully it gets plenty of advertising exposure via the Tour Guides' there. The pricing could be an issue in attracting the Thais there also. While within range for the touring farang, maybe not so locals. I have read the reviews on google and there are clearly teething problems there. In time the manager, if he/she are any good will identify and fix. Competent staff top of the list whether they be the chefs or the waiters/waitresses. Nice presentation Wayne and you have done your bit promoting it and, yeah should have jagged a free green tea for your efforts. 🤩

Great to get the overall positive and negatives of staying in Thailand, especially away from home. I live in NZ and find being away from family would be the hardest thing. Great to know that theres a community of expats in Chiang Mai. Cant wait to visit soon. Your videos are inspiring. Thankyou for sharing your life with us.

Always like the way you tell it how it is through your own impressions, unlike some who come across as though they've been paid to promote. Yes, it looks like this place is aimed at tourists judging by the prices. Very pretty though. There is wheelchair and vehicle access running up around the back of the coffee house from watching the video. Theres a truck parked just a few feet from where you were shooting.

Very nice place for a romantic evening Wayne. Might not be for the regular CM resident but certainly good spot for the two week tourists. Any hotels or AirBNB's around?

Very nice, The cost to build it, would be Staggering, great landscaping, mate you should have asked Mae out for coffee or dinner, she is very charming. "Never let a chance go by" i hope those pine trees aren't Norfolk Pines" because they grow up to 200feet. that would ruin the view hey.

Hey Wayne, after several years of travelling and living between the worlds( Asia and Germany) I was exhausted of moving. I just want to arrive and find a place where I also have the chance to make friends and regular social contacts. Since I work from home life is very lonely in germany. I hardly see my friends and they have their own families. I think a lot of giving it a try in Thailand because I spend some time there already between 2008 and 2017. And when i listen to my heart it always points towards Thailand. After 8 years trying to settle in Germany and after a divorce that really affected my mental health I feel i must get out of my head and just start change things because they wont get better here. Did you make friends where you live? Would you say it is possible to create a network of good people around you? I can be alone for most of the time but it would be awesome to have a gym buddy or soemone that loves food as much as i do. What are your experiences with friendships in thailand...between expats and also with locas. Thanks so much!! All the best from Dortmund Germany

It looks like a nice place, Wayne. Nice views. The air is actually clearer there at the moment. We're getting a lot of the smoke and unhealthy air in Jomtien the past couple of days.

Hey Wane, I'm liking that Modern Caribbean Flintstones look! Not sure it's the hottest place to cool off, but certainly a place I'd a cute cave woman for Bronto Burgers and a night out as long as I didn't have to suffer through any clubbing.
