Hey there, I would like to put in the pre-order for the new saltiga 25000 from the US. I went into your website and attempted to place the order but could not find the option to add line to it as you mentioned... could you give me better guidance on how I could make the pre-order with line pre-spooled on the reel. Thanks!

Can you use the 18000h for popping? And if so which rod.
@craigandrews7544Күн бұрын
Do you lads think the 6’10 rod would be good for topwater whiting on flats?

If those bluefish Taylor’s are in hordes diamond jigs are safer than slinging jerk baits
@williamcox95242 күн бұрын
Hi, yes that bionic finger(cannon in the US or casting trigger) makes casting a dream. Nice to see our South African products like the Assassin rods helps to enjoy your trip to the surf. Fyi, that sinker already has the "hook" to clip onto your hook for casting, if not realized by now.

Killer, I’m interested to know what size people would use off the beach for normal surf fishing? Just the 10000 or higher? And also what’s a good Daiwa surf rod to combine it with? Did they make a new Saltiga rod too?
@TackleWest5 күн бұрын
The 10000H size has been the most popular for beach fisherman in the 2020 model range. Daiwa do make a Saltiga surf series of rods

@TackleWest7 күн бұрын
Not really. It’s the evolution of fishing tackle and how companies like Daiwa continue to make the product better. All the older models were great products for their time, but this latest generation surpasses them without doubt.

25000 is huge would be a dope reel for sharks off the beach on a low mount rod. Drag system is very interesting in the 18000s and up, will be interesting to see how the rollers in the drag hold up to saltwater if the reel gets dunked

Such a shame they didnt bite the bullet and replace the magseal system sith traditional seals. They wohld likely sell twice as many. The magseal is purely there so people HAVE to send their reels fo daiwa for servciing rather han simply replacing a 20c o-ring once every 10 years. And re grease and oil once every 2-3 years. aesthetics, materials and drag seem superior to shimano but wont touch any daiwa as long as they have magseal

@TackleWest9 күн бұрын
You will get better performance out of the p66 for offshore as the 3in1 is not for offshore use. Bear in mind it is only an entry level transducer tho.

Daiwa has improved so much in the last decade or two and is still better priced than Shimano. Most of my reels are now Daiwa.
@DOBlob9 күн бұрын
Yeah that degradable magseal that no user is able to self service and doesn't keep fine grains of sand and salt out is a great idea 😂 buy a Shimano if you actually want to be able to self service your reel, this is why the pre magseal saltiga z still sells at the original price. I can't even put new grease in my Daiwas gears without fear of breaking down the magseal. Also add that the msgsesl creates a lot of friction noticeable in the small reels for finesse fishing.
@vinceveloce98979 күн бұрын
@@DOBlob Don't blame Daiwa's introduction of new technologies for your incompetence and limited ability to service reels; that's on you, pal.
@DOBlob8 күн бұрын
@@vinceveloce9897 not really, how does one obtain the mag seal fluid if Daiwa does not sell it? A traditional sealing system stays in place when the reel is opened, with Daiwa that seal is broken when the reel is opened and not to mention it doesn't stop fine particles like dust and sand from entering the internals
