Sharp! is that a hollow blank or a solid blank? Surprised they aren't using their AGS guides on all the high end slow rods.

They are a hollow blank on this model. AGS guides are more suited to casting, the guides they run are perfect 👌

What depth are you fishing or weight of your jigs that you usually use? Daiwa US has a Saltiga SPJ rods just with out the rod protector and slant butt. The AU model is sexier tho lol.

@@ShinkiZer0 I looked at the current US model and prefer the Australian. I need a light 20-60grams setup and another up to 150. I will be ordering a Zenaq long cast and twitch pretty soon for my inshore needs. Zenaq isn’t common on the west coast and I’m hoping they fit my needs. 90% of the time, I’m tossing plastic’s , jerkbaits, irons , live bait, and other top water baits. I’m excited to add slow pitch jigging to my routine. I will definitely go through a few rods till I find the right fit.

@@williamjones3603 you cant go wrong with any tbh. Im still using my jdm Saltiga 55b-2 spj rod. Looking for another spj rod at 300g max as back up. Since thats all i use for now and i dont deep drop yet. You can get away with inshore or bass set up for micro jigging. 80g max in my experience. Hope you enjoy your new set up! Keep jigging tight lines!
