Beautiful! 😍 I have the 24 LT5000 D-HX ARC. I could only imagine meeting the bigger sister. It will probably be better for me fishing off the surf. I'm in the nor'east USA. We go strong on the striped Bass here

Is the 5000 body size the same as the 6000 body size like the previous version and the spool being the only differentiator? I’ve read somewhere the 6000 also has a slightly bigger body size ?
@TackleWestКүн бұрын
The body is the same but the rotor and spool on the 6000 is larger

Will it be 18000h and 14000xh on 24 model too ?

How is the sizing between the 4000LT and the new 4000SW? I have a 4000lt that I love but am looking for a slightly beefier reel to fill with PE 2 and target bigger fish. I'm currently fishing a stradic 4000 which is noticeably bigger than the Certate 4000lt. Thank you.
@TackleWest26 күн бұрын
The 4000SW is noticeably bigger than the 4000LT range. For fishing PE2 like I would suggest the 4000SW would be the best size to go with

Please make a comparison between the 2024 Certate LT vs the new 24 certate sw, in 5000 XH please. I want to get it from Tackle west, Thank you.

The SW is a larger reel and made for heavier applications. Is select SW series for PE3

as much as i love daiwa spirits to innovate, i much prefer a worm shaft spinning reel in a high end range, its just most sophisticated system and results in a more flatter line lay, from my observation some times daiwa had concave line lay even in some of their high end offering

If you need to fix change a bearing you have to send it to Diawa. Not trying to be a fanboy but you can disassemble the most cheap and expensive shimano and replace anything inside by yourself with a KZbin video. Its a beautiful reel nonetheless and must be amazing until you need to service it and live outside the us, japan or Australia
@bazkaknics609527 күн бұрын
All you need to invest in is an MQ side plate removal tool off Ebay ($60AUD) and the almighty magseal oil ($75AUD off Ebay). Not a rocket science to pull them apart. KZbin has some Malaysian videos where you can observe the process

@@bazkaknics6095 130 + bearing for bearing change? no thx
@bazkaknics609522 күн бұрын
@fernfolch Of course, the tools are for regular maintenance and they are only worth it if you have multiple Daiwa MQ reels which you plan to keep for long

5000sw suitable to play heavy games like mekong cat fish 30-50kg?
Does the 6000 SW have the same body as the 4000 & 5000 SW or is it bigger?

Yes body is same on all reels but rotors different

Hope Daiwa has solved the pickup issue with the Certate24. Otherwise I won’t buy any

whats pickup issue?
@darrenbutler176527 күн бұрын
Wouldn't keep one if you gave it to me. Soft shitty Duralumin gears, faulty magseal system. Used to love Daiwa but until they sort out durability I will be buying Twinpowers.
@danielwutfisho22 күн бұрын
What material is the twinpower running? Why would you buy a reel with a half plastic sideplate
