Great video and loved your video out riding it in stunning Scottish scenery. How did you get on with 50mm Ultrabites in terms of clearance? I’m running my favourite Teravail Rutlands in 42mm but hoping I can size up to the 47mm (running in 25mm internal width)
@ScottyLaughland27 күн бұрын
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! Front is no problem it’s a little tighter on the rear however and there are some marks on the seat stay from when the tire tread has gotten filled up… but overall I love em and love the bike!!
@darranmoore27 күн бұрын
@ yeah thought that would be the case, thanks for feedback. There is bucket loads of clearance in fork. I’m in NE so conditions not to far from yours, I may buy one 47mm Rutland and try on the rear rather than pulling trigger on a pair? Only had bike week but the couple of shorts rides I’ve managed I love it. Your video being one of the few who helped my decision fearing it was too race biased, thanks much appreciated.

Can you kill the wind noise? You can hear the wind in a few of your clips. I’ve been running a GoPro for years with a wind cover and it has no wind noise

Perhaps, it’s not something I’ve adjusted or played with much but there isn’t the same accessory offering. I guess I could put a little fluffy thing over the mics to help. It connects so easy with the DJI mics and I’m going to start using that as my setup!

Hi. Did you have to modify anything on the headset to install the stem and bars?
@ScottyLaughland29 күн бұрын
No it does work fine but now you can get a specific headset top cap where you can use normal spacers and is arguably a better solution to what you’re looking for!

That mounting challenge was a revelation, Some of the old schwalbe UST versions back in the early 2000s were a complete nightmare to fit. Lots of swearing.

The GoPro is 151 degrees and the Osmo is 155! Have you tried both cameras to compare them?
@ubahnedits23 күн бұрын
I found that its 149 degress on the gopro hero 13 black and 155 on the osmo action 5 pro, also you can get an external fov booster lens for up to 182 degrees

My wife and I were there in 2014 for our honeymoon. We stayed at Rooms with a View in Ocho Reos. Every morning, I would see a group of mtn bikes going out. I'd love go back and bike out there. Thank you for posting your video.

The bike looks neat. Gorgeous build! I'm wondering, what happens when the battery eventually dies? You need to buy a new frame with fresh battery inside or is there a more rational way to solve this issue?
@ScottyLaughland2 ай бұрын
You can remove the battery fine it’s not a big job but it’s not that easy to swap it out for a mid ride boost! A TQ or SCOTT dealer would be the best person to do it!

What a commercial… unsubscribed.
@ScottyLaughland2 ай бұрын
I guess I appreciate that you liked it! It is stated as a paid partnership and there’s a lot more depth to take from the video than just the eBike motor system… It shares the story of a relatively unknown network of trails in the Pyrenees.

Great video . Just a question: why shutter speed set to 1-1250 ? Recording a 24 fps you shouldn’t set it to 48fps ?
@ScottyLaughland2 ай бұрын
Like the speed and style 23.976 gives… Shutter at least for a chesty gives the most stable footage I’ve discovered!

@ScottyLaughland Got a question for you: So I just bought the Scott Spark RC SL TR frame set (it comes with the handlebar, rear shock and fork) I noticed it came with the twin lock remote already connected to the rear shock. Do I have to cut the cable in order to install the headset bearing? I don't see any other way...which would be a waste of a perfectly good cable :(

I really like Schwalbe tyres. Recently i switched to MM Supertrail Soft 2,4 (front) and NN Supertrail Soft 2,4 (rear) for my All Mountain bike (160/150mm travel/27,5 inch) and they feel perfect for my type of riding. Perfect mix of grip (front) and rolling resistance (rear). Due the winter conditions at the moment here in Austria i couldnt try them any longer but next week it will get warmer again. I cant wait to wait to ride again! Keep on producing these great videos!

Cool bike parks and trails. What about publicly available natural paths through wilderness in IE? I.e. not man made specific 'mtb trails' or bikeparks, sth for more adventurous riders? Is there such thing out there?

Scotty, I've only just discovered your videos! I too was at Fort Bill from the beginning (spectating with my young daughters) having moved north from London to discover Real Mtbing living in the Scottish borders! You are a true searcher for the "Ultimate Ride". I've done Ben Lomond and a few hills in the Lake district. Have you done the West Highland way by bike? I walked it and met a crazy New Zealander riding it on a gravel bike! Keep sharing your Awesome films Many thanks "Desperate Dan" 👍🏻😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
