I'm so in awe of how well your garden turned out its first season. And I love the name The Panic Room.

I love chatty videos - an easy to edit kind of video would be to set up your camera, like you have been doing, and just sharing your opinions of what is on your mind, maybe while you are folding laundry, or chopping up wood, or shelling peas, etc. We are watching because we like you as a person and are interested in what you have to say. I like videos on what you did in the week, or what you had for meals, it’s like catching up with a friend. I used to be very active, but became a wheelchair user in 2013 and it really limits where I can go and what I can do, (I’m not able to drive, and I live alone), so I very much enjoy ordinary life vlogs. To protect your children, don’t film them too much, you don’t want to encourage the wrong kind of audience, but innocent children cooking/playing is a million miles away from bra shopping or leg shaving, it’s sad that some people do film that kind of thing for the money, and they make many $$$$ for it. Also, about the negative comments, some people live lives that are so boring that they have to make their own entertainment by being horrible to others - sometimes it is easy for keyboard bullies to post stuff that they would never dream of sharing in real life, but some are like the school bullies of old that absolutely would be horrible to your face - and the people that do it are jealous and insecure and are trying to prove to themselves that they have everything perfect, but if they had, they would be living that life and wouldn’t have time to notice or be nasty to others. Please delete and block anyone who is horrible and isn’t being helpful - they are just doing it to deliberately hurt you and they send out lots of nastiness to multiple people every day and it’s not personal - but I know you can’t help but dwell on their comments like it is.

Sounds like unschooling is just proper parenting. Schools have never been set up to teach these sorts of things, parents should be teaching their kids things that aren’t in text books and letting them learn through play at home. In addition to, not totally replacing reading and writing etc. Even when they go to a school, you are still your child’s life mentor. So cool that you had the opportunity to take your kids to Africa. No better way to learn about other people, culture, and customs

I home educated my two here in the UK; was very challenging because I worked late into the night, writing for magazines, in order to make it work - on top of being with my children all day and taking them to wonderful classes. I was so tired. So I feel for you, I know how unfair it is having to be spread so thin - simply because people have lazily shifted all their responsibilty for educating their most precious children out onto government - which is there to indoctrinate them and nothing else - so that is where all the money goes; and even those of us who do not outsource the most important role we have, have to pay for that state system to indoctrinate others, instead of using that tax money where we should - for our own children. This is also because the role of mother has become totally denigrated as part of the completely, transparently empty and mendacious notion of 'feminism'. (By the way, read Rachel Wilson's book Occult Feminism: The Secret History of Women's Liberation to learn who the Suffragettes ACTUALLY were and what the real agenda was....) And because there is an agenda to undermine the family..... When in fact, there is NOTHING so beautiful as home schooling. And we should be able to do it without being impoverished by making that infinitely more noble choice. So yes I feel for you - and just wish you lots of strength to find the right path and to make a difficult balance work out... I'm sure you will.x

Listening to you is good for me. My younger two of four children kinda abandoned me as thier Mother. I was not a abusive Mom. This all happened when my husband chose to divorce me after 22 years of a nonadulwrous marriage. Then he went on to a 2nd marriage and I haven't spent quality time with my children. Except for just a short amount of time with my older two. He even put a tombstone in the graveyard that his parents were buried in with his 2nd wife's name joanie and her son Eric, and my 4 children. Claiming to be the parent of my 4 children. Very cruel. You remind me of my youngest, Samantha, not Errorin. I pray that your lifelong path remains safe. I am choosing to retire, alive, in the town that my Samantha's first home is. The youngest of my 4.

Well done!! It's interesting, as I was listening it occurred to me that the common thread between unschooling, tiny houses and homesteading is exploring ways to find more freedom in the way we live. Stepping away from what society expects us to do and have and trying something new, different and maybe a bit challenging. So everything you are doing fits together beautifully and I'm looking forward to seeing what you get up to next 😀

Make your videos about your daily life. All the things you talked about doing is interesting to those of us watching. We have loved seeing how you have been building your house, growing your garden, and the fun things you and your girls have been doing. Keep up the good work!

If this was your video to satisfy putting out a video…keep ‘em comin’!!I’d love to see that 20% of your build. I’d love to see you start seeds, get wood, fetch water, etc. As I told my girls, At the end of the night it’s your opinion of you that matters most. I also am known to tell people, don’t pick it up, it’s not yours! Please don’t let anyone hurt you and certainly not thoughtless people. What a beautiful attitude, fall in love with yourself and continue to do hard things. Both are so very worth it! YOU are worth it. Peace to you and yours.

Reading the comments, wow what great support you have. Yes unfortunately there will be ones with negative comments, your attitude with learning from the comment and using it to make a video shows you got this. I agree with others with the everyday chores you do would be great videos. I love those kinds of videos, I learn so much. I like you show your imperfection, everyone is, but you show you conquer!! How inspiriting is that! I also appreciate that you are a person without thick skin, that's what makes you real, inviting to watch and inspiring. Don't let the negative of this world ever change that about you, continue to grow with your light that shines inside. Thanks for the sincerity of this video, YOU GOT THIS!!!!!

Hello, I was wondering, if I can share with you the most important thing. God the Father sent His holy Son Jesus to earth, to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. Then He was put into a tomb for 3 days, after that Abba Father raised Jesus to life.He appeared to people, and went back to heaven. We all must sincerely receive Jesus into our life to be God's child. John 1:12 says: "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" Will you today genuinely by faith receive Jesus into your life for salvation?

Erin, you are an amazing woman! You have an inner strength that so many people admire and would like to have. You have every right to be proud of yourself. Although it's hard when the "nay-sayers" make harsh comments, just know that your true viewers believe in you and are urging you along in your journey. As for content, an every day in the life type of video is always nice. You mentioned being busy having to haul water, move animals, do garden work.....just bring us along while you work, and obviously any further work on the Tiny house. Congratulations on the thousand plus viewers (actually your almost at 1.5 thousand as of right now). Keep going girl👍

So so many people are doing everything you’re doing and they keep their channel up and running. YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!! Don’t dwell in all the things you have to do. You have 8-10 extra hours a day to complete your “chores” as you don’t have a full time job. Many people are living this lifestyle with a full time job. YOU can do this. Just remember how much you want to succeed… 💗

Not only do I watch to see how you're doing on your build but I also watch because I enjoy seeing your kids and your pets (are they all pets?). You could always do a video on a day in your life. Take us out to get fire wood. Let us watch you do every day chores. There's so much I would like to see. Plus, you're almost at 1.5K subs so that's great.

You are a “storyteller”. Your eyes moving behind the camera produce a story without any words. Give yourself the chance to experience this art form. So many of us who watch your channel have come for the ambience that ISN’T urban. Mundane tasks, such as cooking, washing dishes or clothes are of interest just because they are in your tiny house. Believe it or not you are “unschooling” everyone who lives outside of this particular experience. You might experiment with strictly filming and doing voiceover after the fact. Perhaps you could aim for one video every two weeks….. However you proceed, keep the faith that those who value what you are offering will GROW IN NUMBER - and any nay-sayers will fall away. Best of Luck! -V
