I served in op banner in 73/73/74 in eest Belfast and was stationed in ,the police station where the bomb eent off . It brings bkany emotions as does the footage shown . RIP to my friends snd coleagues that never came bk lest we forget 😢

I’ve just read a book about N.I. Troubles and it said in 1973 alone there were 2500 bombs in Belfast ….it was on the news every night …horrendous for the troops as well …

It’s was ignored by the UK only in later conflicts (Falklands/Iraq etc) was the military revered for their service, but not NI it was seen as an embarrassment for the UK!!!
