I think you'd get a lot more use out of a 100lb one haha, you throw that around like a packet of napkins. Awesome gym and awesome new bit of kit.

How the hell you do this😂 i can do 20 pull ups with good form, 25-30 dips yet cannot do a muscle up!

🤣. Try practicing on a short bar, like parallel bars. It’s what I did to learn this. I stumbled on a couple good techniques for learning the muscle up, I’ll do a video on it soon. It’s actually easier than you think.

You work out pretty hard. Do you find it takes longer to recover as you get older, or not yet? It happens! Any days off in a typical week? Great video.

I’m training them rn, can do only 1 with a band, maybe 1-2 months and I will do it without. But I think it’s very cool exercise, I’ve had dreams about I do 10+ reps, like I don’t feel my weight and flying on bar

yea I dont see the point neither. u lose pullup form and u def put ur shoulders at risk if u dont work clean or go till failure. seperate explosive pullups/dips are way more valuable imo

Muscle up is beneficial if you make it as hard as possible. If you do clean muscle up from dead hang position with no momentum for a lot of reps that's gonna kill your back that's for sure

Ex gymnast here. Muscle ups are just for getting above the bar or rings. There not really a muscle building exercise. You could do them for reps.
@RJ-is9ko
@RJ-is9ko 9 күн бұрын
If one simply throws themselves up over the bar then yea..because youre mainly working your lats. If you pull to your lower chest and then press up over the bar youre working your triceps, chest, rotary cuffs and forearms as well. If you can super set a set of pullups and a muscleup and then a set of dips and do 3 sets of that back to back, that will wipe most people out.

If you can do weighted pull ups. And chin ups Though full range movement should be able to do them Test myself could do 10 muscle ups with out train for them Just do push pull legs in short work outs

I've done pull-ups, dips, pushups & rows fairly consistently for decades, But I don't think I'm strong enough at pull-ups to bother with muscle ups, And I think that you have the right perspective on muscle ups, for the average fitness enthusiast.

Im so glad your preaching burpees. People genuinly dont realise how powerful they for fitness. The fittest iv ever got for my boxing was whenever i had a large volume of burpees (with the jump at the to) in the training regime. They are devestating. Even just doing them for 5 mins straight would nearly kill most people

I got one for ya. Your p/u bar looks the right height. Burpee/pull-ups. Each time you come up from a Burpee jump to the bar and do a pull-up, and, of course, each time you come off the bar go rate into the next Burpee.
