Klein must have revised their tool. Same generator same Klein tool, it just says on the display open ground 125v. The floating neutral for RV’s needs a bonding plug or similar. This video helped identify that for me.

Just finished mine. The only thing I didnt install was the fuses. The store had mini and regular size. Decided to hold off til I find out for sure.

This happened to my boat. Previous owner used pressure treated lumber when he replaced the bunks, and cost me $2200 to repair with no warranty (no warranty on corrosion). The culprit is copper sulfate, the pressure treatment chemical. Don't do it!

When mine malfunctioned, it slammed on the brake in the middle of the road with no car arround me. I was afraid i was going to die. If a truck had been behid me, it would have ran over my car.

Interesting video. Clearly successful which is great. But I wonder if a little overcomplicated? For instance, why use desiccant chambers at the bottom of the loops when you could simply have a 150mm down stand on each loop with a purge valve? You know there will be condensed water there. You don’t need desiccant for condensed water. Desiccant is useful to eliminate vapour. Another example is the cooler before the compressor tank. If the water condenses in the tank, then the tank is essentially a condenser. That moisture is no longer in your air, although it will increase the humidity of the air in the tank. But that’s what your drier loops are for! Just empty the compressor tank daily. 👍🙂

2 issues I’ve found with these adapters: 1. May or may not have low voltage protection. Battery will be damaged if drained. 2. May or may not drain battery if connected even if there is no load/other device connected

@5:43 -- Looks like you were using a socket to beat out that bushing. Question: That bushing seems to be in the way of the grease zerk putting grease on the pin?

We have the same generator for our 30 watt 5th wheel and we just tried to use it to just run the ac and our generator couldn’t handle it. It was also 98° outside and wandered if the generator circuit board was overheating 🤷🏽‍♀️

I learned today that if u have a built in surge protector in your rv, that it wont work with a generator because of the open ground. U have to make a plug that ties the neutral and the ground together and then the surge protector will work and allow power to the rv.

Can you use a temp gun to get the temp on the pump side, then the output side of the radiator pipe after it’s been running for a good long time so it’s nice and hot. Curious to see the difference. My abrasive blasting system keeps getting clogged with moisture

I like the idea of cooling the air before it goes into the tank, very smart. I plan on experimenting with a desiccant filter on the air intake to stop the moisture before it goes into the pump as well as your radiator cooling system. Will have the stock air filter first, then the desiccant filter and into the compressor. Will try that first before adding the radiator

So what happens when your Dewalt battery and power box battery dies? I was looking at your design of the power box and there would be enough run to put a hand crank motor that you could put a handle on to manually charge the dead battery. Store the handle in the case and when needed, take it out, connect it to the crank and turn to generate charging for your battery. You can't do this with the Dewalt on it's own, but you could do it with the power box. :-)

Doing this upgrade today...can you have the solar panel plugged in while the battery is in use with load?
