This did NOT fix my issue. Car still runs great once its hot - should I suspect the injector? Can you replace just the injector control coil?

The clamps that came with my set seem to be too big. Even when fully closed there's about a centimeter of space. Does the rubber cover stretch out a lot to make up for this?

Your supposed to remove the paint on the contact area of the disc so the paint will not contaminate the new pads.

I have electronic parking break and I reactivated them with one them still not on the rotor and the piston came out completely. I'm hoping that with this video I will be able to push it back in using your method.

Nice vid, best I've seen.....however, can anyone explain to me how, in normal operation, the brake pad is released from the disc? It's obvious that when the brake is applied (both by foot and by motor) the caliper pushes against the pad but what happens when the brake is not used.....what pulls the pad back off the disc. There is no mechanical means of pulling it back off.....does it simply rely on nil pressure resulting in the the pad being in constant contact (just touching) the disc? Please help as my brain hurts 🙂👍

I have the same exact problem misfire on injector 4 i switched him with injector 1 and i still got the same problem with cylinder 4 misfire now what else could possibly be the problem please i need help before i tear down the engine for the hydraulic lifters and valves

Thank you very much for this excellent video !!! It has made me confident to start doing it myself . I did it on a complete week-end including the cleaning with pure acetone. The warning light, so annoying, no longer reappears at all after the reset with my OBD2 reader. The car is now more punchy, consumes 0.5 liter less per 100km and I saved a lot of money :-) the garage did not want to clean but to put new parts.. Several points to share if it can help : - XC60 2014 200K km - EGR changed at 60K km - EGR recall done ~2years ago (hoses +ECU reprog it seems)- motor warning light appeared 6 month ago - I've bought the gasket between EGR and cooler on auto-doc Ref 013.630, brand 'Elring'. It fits perfectly and is of good quality - Step to empty the coolant at 4:50 in the video skiped. I used a cut bottle instead to recover the liquid (~0,5 liter) when removing the hoses. - the tightening torques can be found on other videos- the step of unscrewing the 2 screws between the EGR and the exhaust pipe is not shown in the video ~6:22. Have you changed your original torx bolts to new ones in yellow color (hexagonal head) ? On my car it has torx screws and I had a problem at this step because I stupidly forced with a Torx30 screwdriver even though it was Torx40. I couldn't see the screw well because the head was oriented towards (and close to) the dashboard; I partially broke the teeth of the screw. I recovered the problem by forcefully pushing a torx40 screwdriver into the screw (with a hammer), it worked. Voila ! Thanks again and long life to your channel ! ;-)

Now any insight on doing this on a VW Atlas? The shaft inside has a lot of tiny little balls and springs that dislodged itself on me. I think I have to just buy new calipers, it doesnt look like I can re assemble this thing!

Just a heads up to anyone trying this. The wee screw that holds the disc on is made of chewing gum, not metal it seems. I’m now stuck trying to figure this headache out 😂
