Honestly, I have no idea. Maybe someone else has more insight. A raccoon got my big cantaloupe, then they climbed waaaayyyyy up the pool cage in a few weeks I went on vacation so I decided to not grow them anymore. Sadly I have no room for them as they just take up too much space.

@@kevin83FL can that fuse be replaced? What’s the cost? Also can a new fuse be relocated closer to the motor connection?
@kevin83FL
@kevin83FL 2 ай бұрын
@DustyBoots-xs4ul it can be replaced, but it is soldered in-line. I mean, I'm just a dummy who sweeps the floor, but seriously, a 30a fuse in-line in an unserviceable area of the tool? I'm not sure who thought that would be a good idea, especially on a pole saw where it is very common to have the chain jam from branches pinching it. That would blow the fuse pretty easily. The batteries are obviously protected by their integrated circuit boards from over current, over discharge, and over temperature. That fuse is essentially protecting the wiring circuit which I am sure the batteries can output 60a, and the wires can flow that much for a short period of time (I put an ammeter on my kids power wheels with a brushless motor and ryobi 9ah battery). So theoretical (highly probable) going full speed on the pole saw, if you fail to undercut a branch properly (you can't always get access to the top) and while cutting the bottom, the branch starts to bend down and binds the chain, surely there will be more than 30a and pop that fuse. It just doesn't seem like a good design. If you do relocate the fuse, which should be pretty easily doable, I would suggest a blade type automotive fuse as they are way more readily available and a bit cheaper also. Good luck and be careful.

@@Lunaticinaz28 I don't know why they don't start implementing the mini-split units as those are way quieter, more efficient, and can be mounted on the side/front/rear rather than the roof. But yeah, I felt the quality was really lacking on my unit. My issue with the warranty was mainly the staples coming out everywhere from the first week I bought it. The microwave bracket came loose, some of the panels were not attached when I purchased it, the main fill hose for the fresh water tank was kinked, etc.

@kevin83FL 2 жыл бұрын
I honestly only used it about a dozen times, it looks horrible, but just because the paint was bad quality. It broke when I torqued it by hand, but I knew that was a limitation, so I am sure I didn't put too much pressure on it, maybe 100ft lbs at most, but it shouldn't have broken with the amount of pressure I put on it. Or at least that is my thinking. Milwaukee obviously makes far superior products, with the price tag to match, and HD does have a very generous return policy. The torque that most electric ratchets put out is really horrible, you pretty much have to break every single bolt free first, then apply electric. It kinda defeats the purpose if you can't use it by hand then pull the trigger.

Did you figure that out yet? Were you able to get by with the power flow from the vehicle side to the Kia harness, or did you have to run another power wire? Thanks!
@kevin83FL
@kevin83FL 3 жыл бұрын
First I have to note that the 2020 Palisade does not come with this wire, apparently it is only on the 2021. I have taken quite a few trips with our travel trailer now and haven't had any issues at all. The fuse in the car is a 30a fuse so I assume it will be fine. I have been using a curt echo brake controller that is Bluetooth, but I am not really liking it much. It seems to work fine if you connect it every time, but we go to a campground and disconnect all the time and then head to various places without the trailer. Every time we hook up I have to remember to open the curt app so it works, otherwise I am not convinced it turns itself back on even though it lights up. I will end up just doing what a few others have suggested and getting an extra fuse panel cover from the dealer for around $20 and mounting a regular brake controller to that in the cabin so that if I ever want to remove it, I can just swap out the fuse panel cover and it will be back to stock.
@PKJae

@@kevin83FL great, thanks for the feedback. I have a 2021 Palisade Cali and just now getting to trailering set up. I was thinking about doing just what you said: mounting the Tekonsha Primus IQ on the fuse panel cover; and when I am not towing then disconnect it and use the 2nd fuse panel cover for the cleaner look. I don't tow too often so no need for always having it hooked up. I like how the Kia 7 pin kit also comes with the harness for the in car controller so no need for running a wire through the fire wall - my understanding is that it will be 'plug and play' with that harness. Given you have trailered a bit now, any comments on the self-levelling suspension in the rear? I plan to tow a 23' dual axle camper that is well within the 5k lb limits and hoping the suspensions handles the load well by self-leveling. I suspect that with the self-leveling, the correct hitch/controller set-up, and of course the built-in braking sway control that I should be ok. I feel the engine/transmission should have sufficient power. thanks again.
