I hounded B/A's website and purchased a Tac 5 inch after watching this video. They were sold out for a while and I finally got one. I have Staccato's (yep fan boy here) but with smaller hands, this is unbelievable. Chose to not to go with the Ports though - keep up the great work man.

If you are in a hot environment that spacer mesh acts like an insulator and makes it worse.

Came across this review in my quest to find a plate carrier to more or less side-grade to from my Crye AVS. Which as fantastic as it is, I want something a bit more low profile, that splits the difference between the JPC and AVS. I had been looking at the First Spear Strandhogg, and even picked up a cheap salty V1 to try out while looking for either a new V2/V3 Strandy, or something similar. I've been running the Shaw pads for a while now, and I remembered they had the ARC V2. It seems like the ARC V2 is trying to improve on things that First Spear is doing, for a slightly better price. Though the cummerbund being bungie corded does leave something to be desired, but at least they give you the option for a velcro attachment system if so desired. Just by reading the comments, and even taking the review as "This is great if you aren't buying your first carrier" type of deal, it seems like a solid option.

Dig into the DPC also. I think it's what you're looking for if you want something lower profile.

The sound can be easily muffled by sandwiching between two layers of cloth, like two ponchos. Another idea, buy a large umbrella and put a sew a layer of this inside of it. Aluminum foil tape is also cheap and can be used to connect Mylar blankets, cover the stitching, or just used directly on/in helmets, armor, gear etc.

@ThinLineDefenseCo3 күн бұрын
we got told by a gear company ages ago that we "didn't have enough experience to have an opinion" so the Wizard is everyone who isn't some master CQB or bomb thrower or helicopter pilot....but their thoughts and opinion on equipment is just as valuable as anyone elses. It's basically us giving those guys the middle finger.... edit: they wanted us to say we're not pros...so I'd say "we're not level 100 wizards" to shut them up. And it stuck because it was funny.

I have 2 Holosun 510c's.. I am 2 months shy of 10years from the day I got my first one.. As I remember the wife got it for me for Xmas for my BCM 14.5.. I installed it that day, installed a Duracell 2032.. and to this day the battery tray has never been opened.. I shoot that rifle as much or more than any I own.. I take it out in the back 40 on the range prob 8-10 times a year. Its the most amazing battery life I have ever had.. Its way tougher than given credit.. fell out of my SXS bed on a gravel road, dented my BCM rail.. That titanium shield is prob the key to its toughness.. And lastly, I couldn't believe when I was watching first person Ukraine combat videos a couple weeks ago and saw several videos that had guys with 510c's on AK's on a couple CZ Bren 2's, AR's.. I was not really surprised, but cool to see its gonna get well tested and properly vetted.. And honestly I would love to see a gen 2 with a few specific upgrades at $400-450..
