How would you compare this to the Griffin mod 2?

I put an Elfman trigger in my B&T APC 9 pro. It is leagues better than the trigger that came with it.

Love your stuff TLDC, as well as the Dirty Civilian guys! I gotta disagree with you here though in regard to it being an outdated system for the purposes they’ve mentioned. Their emphasis was on rapid modularity while maintaining a focus on cost-effectiveness. I think them dismissing slick carriers in conjunction with a placard system is where they missed the ball. Having the ability to quickly scale up or down without needing multiple differently configured plate carriers for a specific mission set is what I think the slick carrier system is designed for and excels at. Which is a large part of what the “Dirty Civilian” mentality is based off of. Preparedness regardless of circumstances.

Full MOLLE Combat Carriers and Slick Covert Carriers each have their own advantages in certain situations. There’s a reason we released a suite of 3 different carriers and by your header, I see you’ve found your preference. But each has their place, and there are many reasons why someone would choose to layer a low-vis carrier with a fighting load (chest rig). There’s also a reason why certain units choose this setup over full “MOLLE combat plate carriers”. If you’re calling it outdated - remember, Full MOLLE carriers existed at the same time as low-vis carriers and yet certain SOCOM units still choose this approach. Layering and managing your core temperature are probably the biggest reasons. Being able to drop weight while keeping your plates on is another. There are more… but to say one is “outdated garbage” just shows you’re not considering the various circumstances/environments in which a super heavy one piece carrier would put you at a disadvantage - and no, carrying multiple placards is not the answer. It’s always best to have intelligent conversations to discuss pros/cons vs stating absolutes to ruffle feathers for attention, but that’s not as fun is it? 😉

I think its just people not understanding the reason for the kill flash and the people that need it. The same people with it also proba ly have a solid black rifle and think nobody will see it in a bush. It's all about trying to remove any chance of sticking out.

It's true they don't need a reflective lens like LEDs. Glass itself is reflective though. They just don't have to utilize a red or green extra reflective lens to reflect the green or red led so your eyeballs can see it. The emmiter on holographics are also less likely to be seen from the front.

So what set up would you recommend? I like the SPC and would like to be able to run it slick and then attach stuff to it via clips like you did, but for the times I only want to run a chest rig which one would allow me to swap back and forth from chest rig only to the SPC without having to worry about the extra straps and stuff?

Bul says that shooting thin plated ammo will void the warrantee. You used Blazer brass 115 gr. ammo and it has thin plated bullets. It will eventually clog up the ports.

Got the IFAK V3 for $65 and wasn’t sure if the CATs were knock offs or not. Thanks for the video. Now I need to know how to tell the difference from a real CAT and a knock off when buying online.

The SPC isn't really a minimalist PC, it's just a regular PC that you're running slick. I didn't watch dirty civilian's video yet, but I imagine the point is that a minimalist PC with chest rigs allow you to customize one's load out quickly in order to meet different mission parameters, where placards are only so modular. I have a nice PC set up, with a placard, but I also have a minimalist PC with chest rigs and even LBVs that I can switch back and forth between depending on the mission. And at the end of the day I have the minimalist PC in case I want to run gray.

I'm gonna buy one pretty soon. I have a griffin supressor and love it. Also from my home state. Griffin for the win!

Okay so I understand where you're coming from, I also understand the slick carrier and Chest rig. Most of the placards I see only Carry 3 mags on the chest one or 2 one the belt 1 in the gun so 5 mags mabye 6. Thats nothing in a gun fight, fine for a range day tho. And I've been watching footage from Ukraine and the gear they are using. It looks like mo mags mo betta. I swear I seen one guy running like 12 mags lol also maybe you want to drop your plate carrier and just run your chest rig with your plate carrier in your backpack, Blue jeans operator talks about it. You're just not stuck with one setup I think that's what they're getting after. Especially with all these micro placards so they fit on these little plate carriers. Just an opinion. So don't take any offense to this lol in my opinion there's no "right" way to do any of this. Because like me where I live. I live in dense forest mountain country. I'm going up and down these hills and mountains I don't always want to have my plate carrier on.
