Like so many testers you compare the car to your personal driving style, when you should be comparing it as a passenger in a Taxi or UBER. 12.3.6 is not NO NAG that is 12.4.X

4:11 I can see it will do the jerky "ping-pong" on the steering wheel during an off-ramp. That has got to be a bit annoying. 7:43 Here, it tends to cut the corner too far to the left. Even as it moved a bit forward at the intersection, it did a jerky left 90° turn on the wheel. This is something I noticed that happens a lot. Then, it completes the turn over the center and is very close to the left turn-only lane. I know, I know, some people tend to do that, but it is not proper. After so many years, This is the best they can do under optimal weather circumstances. Add a weather event, like snow on that off-ramp, and that jerky move on the steering wheel can lead to an uncomfortable yaw moment or, in a worst case scenario, may lead to a spin. A good, fair review of unfinished software. As many have posted; It will be ready "next year."

Nice that there are guys like yoads upu that tells us what you actually see. To me it is just mind blowing that nobody sees that FSD actually only improved in impoveable areas of its capabilities. Leaving all other areas without improvement. As you touch on your summary. For instance that it cannot see bumps and holes, because it really cant, its impossible with visionin practise. Even as you say, when it knows of a speed bump through signs or road markings, it will not adapt to the actual steepness, because a camera can not see it. Radar and lidar, yes it can, maybe even ultrasonics to some extent. Why they still completely disregard road markings and so on, crossing solid lines etcetera. My hypothesis on that is that even if it most of times can see the road markings, it will be kind of late, especially at higher speeds. Due to viewing angle of course. Since Tesla instead of detailed maps discover the world ahead every second it has no idea that a lane in a couple of seconds will be locked in by a solid or other. Googles map data does not say this. So the plan laid assumes possibility to change lanes etcetera up ahead. Then all of a sudden it is forbidden. Adhereing to this new infromation the ride would become irratic and uncomfortable. So Tesla opt out to completely disregard this in all situations. The thing is. Most people passing a certain point on a road does it for the hundreth time, you dont even have to look at signs. Tesla does not read overhaead signs for some reason, which woulkd give a heads up. A small portion of passers of a complicated section is new to this location and will make mistakes, the first time. Tesla does it every time because it lacks memory.

I've always wanted to see if current version of FSD can do that. Cool to see that it can manage it. However, robotaxi is going to take a few more years.

John, I like what you are doing, but you should make it clear up front in the video what exact version you are using, as in V12.3xx. The fanboys think each update is a "gamechanger", so they can claim you are trying to make their beloved FSD look bad unfairly by using an old version. They think V12.5 is 10x better than your version. They are wrong, but you should explain everything up front. And of course you need to do this again with V12.5 when you get it.

So why would you do this? This is a system that is voluntary, not mandatory, you don’t have to buy the car with this particular system. You don’t have to buy the car and have the system already before you drive off the parking lot, and like any system, nothing is 100% fail safe. So I just traded in my 2018 Tesla, M3, for a 2024 Tesla MS, and one of the reasons I did that was, because they allowed me to transfer FSD, which was then FSD (beta), and now its FSD (supervised), and not beta, and I’m currently driving on V12.3.6, and there is a new update out there, but I don’t have yet, which is V12.4.3, I believe, but I can tell you that my car today can drive a hell a lot better than I can. So can it detect every object that’s in its path, I don’t know, because I am not stupid enough to try to run my car into an object that I myself can see whether it’s a decoy object like the stuff you’re using or something else, because I am still the driver, it’s my car, it’s my life, and I’m not stupid, and I’m not trying to kill myself or anyone else. So this proves absolutely nothing, except that the people who do these kinds of things are just as stupid as the people who are willing to pooh, poo, a good idea, because they don’t like it, because they see it as a threat rather than something that could possibly save human lives. So I can tell you, my car has actually saved my life, and it has done so on more than just one occasion, because I almost, always drive using FSD, because that’s the reason I bought a Tesla in the first place, otherwise, I could just as well have bought anyone else’s car, because they don’t offer anything special or anything approaching the vision of Tesla in terms of what their future cars/vehicles will be capable of doing, because the car is the robot, something that most people don’t understand, and that Tesla vision is to remove the driver from the equation, in other words their future cars will not have steering wheels or pedals, so you won’t be able to defeat that system, the way you were doing it, because as a human driver, you need those things, but an autonomous car doesn’t need a steering wheel or pedals in order to drive the vehicle, and so the purpose of your video is really of no value whatsoever, because if you’re stupid enough to go to sleep while driving, if you’re stupid enough to say well I can do whatever I wanna do, because I don’t know, I’m just stupid, then you keep doing stupid videos like this, and people go oh yeah see I told you that it wasn’t good enough, no it’s a work in progress. That’s why they called it (beta), and now they’re calling it (supervised), meaning that it is your job to monitor and pay attention to what the system is doing, and be ready to take corrective action if needed, and eventually, we will get to where we want to be which is a level 5 autonomous driving car, and not only is Tesla FSD, ADAS driving system, not there yet, but neither are other guys, despite what Mercedes has been allowed to claim about their ADAS so-called autonomous driving system in Germany, and no place else. So please get a life, as this genie is out the bottle, and no one is going to put her back in the bottle, and if we in the US don’t get this done, you think China is going to quit? They won’t, and Elon Musk has already acknowledged that our greatest competition will come from China, and not these other guys, because they can’t make a decent electric car that people actually want to buy, and Tesla is selling cars, lots of cars, and in August, they are going to announce the launch of the Robo taxi in China, and not the states. Hey impatient ones...tesla took 9 years to even reach 65 dollars a share. NIO reach 65 dollars in 3 years since being on the market. Teslas ATH was 406 in 2021 and its now at 178 in june of 2024. Stop panicking NIO is not a crypto meme token. Things take time, u would be foolish not to buy, those who got at the opening price have lost parience because thats how this generation is. Thats why price is dropping, im glad they are selling. It gives me a great entry point because when this stock gets into the 100s and 1000s of dollars in the future ill be rich and many of you will be kicking yourselves for selling as this company is spending money to build its brand!
