In todays video we attempt to recreate Tesla's infamous Paint It Black video from 2016 which was Tesla's public debut of their flagship Self Driving technology. The original 2016 video has recently brought Tesla and Elon Musk into poor light due to fraud allegations that have come to the public's attention in recent court documents.

Isn't that the old highway AP code, even on streets as long as they are fully lined? That old code base may be why the car is jumping around the lanes. I wonder how much effort is spend on patching that code.

It's been in beta for ages. If that video was a decent representation of what has been built into the system, great! Paint It Black video would have still needed hedging to contextualize what the video represented, would have needed a statement saying "hey, this is what we think lies ahead," instead of "hey, this is what you get for $3000."

I proved they cut lots of scenes because it didn’t function appropriately back in 2016. Multiple engineers in court filings have gone on record to state they spliced dozens of attempts across a half day of filming before they could make it look like one single edit. The car even ran off the road on some of the attempts in 2016 according to court filings.
