I was working on my recently bought rust bucket WRX and got the M18 2967- 1/2 inch as these are lifelong tools and I know I will always encounter bigger rustier fastners. It was overkill but now I have a tool for life and I will definitely get a stubby at some point for smaller work. Also it was the first tool I have named since it deserves one. I call it the “Behemoth!”.

This is a good mod but quite a sloppy job… way too many zip ties and way too many things not well secured. I’m sorry but this is not impressive work.

Here in Canada, this highly anticipated tool of the year with monster torque went on a 31% off at $178 for the last 2 months. Looks like Milwaukee designed this tool, put it on sale to profit off the HO batteries.

Hey man since you seem to have a great knowledge on the is300 . I ordered a pair of hotchkis sway bars and was wondering what the best stiffness setting would be . I’m planning on getting a Cusco rear strut bar as well . I heard that rear strut bars cause oversteer as they stiffen up the back so getting a stiffer sway bar as well will be too much but the hotckis sway bar is adjustable . What would be the best stiffness setting for daily driving and also being able to corner and handle better . I know the is300 comes with a bit of understeer but I want to be able to eliminate that . I’m also running 17X8 Emkei Rpf1s with 225/45 tires. I’m not sure if that will affect the sway bar stiffness . Please let me know
@dereckverdesoto

I was thinking on going soft in the front and stiff in the rear without the rear strut bar . But if I were to get the rear strut bar then I would go stiff in the front and soft in the rear .
@PoorManMods
@PoorManMods 8 күн бұрын
@@dereckverdesoto With adjustable sway bars I usually recommend starting off in the soft setting for both of them, then just drive and see how the car feels and adjust then as needed.
@dereckverdesoto

@ I just want to your honest opinion since I don’t want the hassle of having to go back to a shop and have them adjust my sways .
@PoorManMods
@PoorManMods 8 күн бұрын
@dereckverdesoto put your sway bars at the soft setting, and absolutely do not have a shop do that adjustment. You can easily do that yourself
@dereckverdesoto
@dereckverdesoto 8 күн бұрын
@ Thanks will do then . One more question , have you tried the trd yellow sway bars . Are they any good . From what I know the soft front and stiff rear for hotchkis is the same setting as trd since the trd yellow sways don’t have any adjustments

Perfect mod for those pre 3rd brake light law. I would prefer the high mountain brake light to strobe. In my 3rd brake light, there are 3 912 LEDs now but if i can find these with a flash or strobe, then i would have regular 3157 red led for brake light. I am running auxbeam 3157 white/amber switchback for front parking lights. Super bright turn signal, no hyper flashing but i didnt realize i got the white/amber instead of amber/amber. no resistor required for 2001 Dodge Durango

Im a firm believer the factory has a reason for the design of the cooling system, the fan shroud being shy wouldn't work for me. The alternator is a load on the engine and I'm curious about the % increase of run time of the alternator. Hope everything works out .

I figure the back of the hub was concave for strength and even though a most likely negligible weakening, a more ideal solution was probably not a lathe, but just cnc flattening the holes for your studs, and the rest would've still had the factory concave feature.

BTW, the ones with the v12 have a slightly longer hood and fenders, so the v8 does have less room, but it shouldnt matter for your build.

careful changing those seats. We are bigger dudes. Already not a lot of room for us and safely mounting a different seat as well as having room is not going to be easy. Those seats are heavy but they also are award winning for good reason. I will be religiously watching this build!

Absolutely love the Fauxbody! With the ride height sorted, wheels and tires plus the other mods you’ve done, it looks outstanding. We really enjoyed th road test you did near the end, with the CUBE coilovers performing exactly as intended….firm enough to give a sporty feel and much improved handling, combined with a ride quality that still makes the car a pleasure to drive. Awesome video!

Its all hype man. Milwaukee sure knows how to sell to their fan boys who wont accept a single negative for their tools. And they know it is not difficult. Putting down, "double the power", 550 ft lbs without mentioning opportunity for them to sell their new HO. It is not compact than dcf921 with a powerstack. Believe me, i have the gen2 3/8 and the DCF921. With 5HO it is similar size with a shitty grip, shitty trigger and mode change. If i can get gen1 at a good price, the new one is being returned.

using the gen 2 on the daily, even with the HO battery, i notice after just a little bit of use (usually 1-2 cars) i find the battery already is depleating, and especially on trucks with higher torque specs, the stubbys battery goes out pretty quickly, and it doesnt even work if you have an overtorqued lug nut, that thing will never come off, you'd need to use the m18 to get it off.
