I was just thinking about your videos of the Supra last night that I watched before I even had a car years ago. Now your video pops up this morning. KZbin must be I in my brain, but at least I can subscribe again :)

thank you so much and welcome to the MK3 supra family! I have made dozens or even hundreds of videos related to the MK3 supra, so there is ALOT of information on that car on this channel. I will make more videos on this 1.5J swap but it wont be another month or 2 before the next video comes out

@@MrTibbz83 I think im about $7,000 for machine shop labor and all the parts im putting on it, but ill be sure to get a final total at the end

nice work, ive gone 1.5jz as well in my mk3 and its made a missive difference in tuque especially down low

Thank you! When you did your 1.5J, did you machine the block or head like some people say to do, in regards to some kine of oil or coolant hole? Some say you dont have to..I was leaning towards the not machining part and seeing how it works.

@@PoorManMods I didn't machine the head, it is recommended to weld and re drill the head to perfectly match the oil port on the block but honestly I cbf lol plenty of people have done the swap without doing it and haven't had any problems, mine seems to be sweet

Have you looked at the Speeduino's for an ECU at all? a write up on how to do that would be awesome

You forgot to smack the end of the crank with a rubber mallet to seat the thrust bearings! It’s probably not the end of the world if you don’t

I did not do that and I don't think I've ever done that on any engine I've assembled 😅
