Wow just left a comment about this on another vid of yours. Have that fault code on my cx5 with scabs tpms and dsc. I think my battery might be the reason. Car accelerates grand and mpg is fine. They say if it’s the throttle body then mpg goes down and accelaration becomes sluggish

@@toomuch9762 I have come across the same issue again since recording this. On my most recent one it was throwing up a Dpf fault and throttle body correlation fault. You should be able to hear it when you cycle the key on and off 🤞🤞

@@kennedysgarage3281 the warning lights come and go on mine. Usually come on in the morning but after turning on and off the car they go and don’t come back again till the following morning. When I turned on the car the other morning I plugged in my phone charger and the second I did that the lights came back. I had a carbon cleaning done 3 months ago so I’m assuming the throttle body was cleaned with it. My battery is old and only reads 12.3 volts before starting. I’m getting a new one Monday so if that’s not the issue then it’s defintley the throttle Actuator.

Was at yet another BMW N47 that's sludged up to heck today, Peter - banged up a short showing how bad it was - very bad. Thought of you & your walnut blaster for the intake manifold - it's manky too & has a benty valve in the head I have to yank out. That walnut-whirler is looking like a better idea by the day.

On a very related note, fitted a new shiny throttle body to another Bimmer 6 weeks ago - old one was toast. It came back in for unrelated work that required the intake manifold/throttle body be removed. 6 week old throttle body looked like it had done 200k it is that caked in carbon & muck - all due to a previous owner not doing oil changes - the entire system is clogged to the gills with muck - so without a thorough strip-down & clean of the entire system, any new component fitted will look like a block of tar in jig-time. They only wanted a throttle-body replacement, no way could I convince them the whole intake system needed cleaning. 6 weeks later, they're back - for a full clean of the intake system... the walnuts.

@@jamesward5721 did you up load it on KZbin?? My Autool walnut blaster is not an expensive bit of kit. I think it was around €350 or €400. I bought the smaller option one and could probably do with upgrading to the larger one. For no reason other than ‘bigger has to be better’ in my head. Size always matters 😂😂😂

@@kennedysgarage3281 I uploaded it to my crappy "channel" lol - it isn't much of a channel. The son did the cleaning, using elbow grease. We may get a blaster. :-)

@@jamesward5721 isn’t it wicked how fast they build up carbon. I have seen similar happen on several occasions. They are handy enough to remove the intake off of. Even though they look difficult

@@kennedysgarage3281 Had another there yesterday Peter - we fitted a recon turbo to a 3.0 Patrol - purely coincidence, it came back in as someone made a balls of fitting a new stereo - blew circuits all over. Turbo is in maybe 8 weeks, 12 tops. For the sheer heck of it, I pulled the intercooler hose to see how the turbo was doing as we have had a few turbo issues lately with the recon'd ones - found more play than you'd see on a worn out yoke. Hmmm.... That crowd do hundreds of turbo's every week... I reckon they're having loads on. :-( Us included.
