Mine turned back on when this happened into regular system... I tried installing a custom theme and now I'll most likely have to fix it and I'm crossing my finger deleting theme folder will work

fixed mine try this ( press the power button to turn on then hold the home button until it boot up) hope it helps

I tried using a heat gun to move the chip. I did move it. But I flipped my switch over, and now it is burnt plastic. The screen is ruined. I just lost everything

Nice video, I'm having a similar problem, but my Nintendo Switch doesn't show any sign of life, not even the logo appears, I've already tested the power connections, battery and everything in order, but I'm suspecting that the problem could be this too because when I press the power button a little intermittent noise starts to sound right from the area of the Wifi chip and just stop if I disconnect the battery, can I have results if I follow this method?

Thank you. I have not encountered a problem like this with some strange noise so I don't know. The only time I have done something to the WIFI chip is if I remember correctly if it has had an orange screen, staying on the boot logo or just have no Wifi at all. Would be interesting to know how much volts and amps it draws when it's powered on.

I think i have the same issue, the console kind of had slight wifi issues (acted like the wifi i had was worse than it actually is) but it wasnt so bad, joycons worked fine too, im very sad i got it second hand just recently because i couldnt afford i saved up so much and it worked fine but now i cant turn it on😭😭😭😭

Well I bought the white OLED brand new 3 weeks ago and it came up with error 2107 0445 and black screen, abosulute joke. New console and the fact that this could even be an issue is so disappointing, now I need to pay $160 to fix it because i don't want to wait a month for nintendi to fix it

@@TonyMontana-bu2no this is awful, nintendo needs to step up their game their consoles are not only the weakest but built so badly, ive never had an issue w my playstation before and its lasted me way over a decade working perfectly fine

what temp and airflow are you using?

Airflow something like 7-8 out of 10. Temp I think I blasted it with something like 380C, it was some time ago. I should make a followup to this video, but haven't really had time.

Hey my 3DS has the same issue were the top screen is dim. I have install two new screens and every time I do the top display is black displaying no content but I still can change the brightness and 3d. Do you know what the issue could be?

The only thing I can think of is the connectors for the ribbon cables. If one of them don't make a good contact or is broken.

Impressive that you were able to remove the APU with the equipment you have. Definitely worth the investment to get the correct setup if you get enough requests for reballing.

No :) its just quite cheaply made. Also because everything is so tiny nowadays just dropping the Switch can cause all sorts of problems including this.

My friend had the same problem, the switch wouldn't turn on at all and would get stuck on the logo, he got a new one and gave me his old one, in case i could fix it or something, when he gave it to me it had around a year of inactivity, and for some reason it turns on fine, but it has the same issue as after ur attempt at repair here, so it doesn't recognize any wifi sources, strangely enough sometimes it connects to the wifi, but after a few hours it looses connection again. I keep it in lock mode to charge it instead of fully off because for some reason it wouldn't charge fully off. And not it even lost bluetooth capability, so joycons dont work with it unless they are attached to the console, i've scattered the web for fixes but nobody seams to be talking about this problem unless they are asking for help with the same issue

@@blu3ntvSome progress. I actually have two switches with the same issue. I have changed wifi chip on both switches and one of them booted but had no bluetooth only wifi. Unfortunately Im struggling a little to find time to continue this but it will be done, hopefully in May. The next thing I will do is to swap the M92 chip between these two switches and see if that has any difference or if it's only wifi-chip related.

Mine has both of these problems exactly! I'm looking into the parts, do you think that is only way to stop the downward scrolling? Do you think I could just buy a new lower screen too?

I have only had one 3DS with this problem so I don't know. I don't think just changing screens helps though.

That was very interesting and good to see after all the frustrations, disappointments and perseverance which in the end paid off with joy in your voice. I have experienced this many times and empathise with you. Third party card reader can be the caused of touch not working properly?

Thank you, and Yes you are right It's most likely the touch because the problem is back after working a couple of days. I have actually never had this problem before so it's good it came up. I will change the touch and post result after that.

It's most likely the soldering underneath the Dram chips or under the APU. I would reflow the Dram chips first, and if that don't help then I would reflow the APU.

Nice one! I got a bricked switch with charging 0.46 amps and no boot. Changed m92 and p13 no result. Changed some donor nand and saw the battery indicator and nintendo logo. So confirmed that it is software issue. But it is no fix.

Hello, yes I had a one that did the same thing. I actually tested the eMMC in a exploitable Switch in Hekate and it couldn't read it. I even reballed it but no fix...

@@mm0077 Yes to my understanding if you have a moddable switch with no emmc you can get it to work with donor emmc and it's prodkeys. In my case my switch wasn't moddable so it's sadly no fix.

have you come across the freeze at the Nintendo logo? you can still use a ethernet cable on these no WiFi switches. from my testing. obviously this will depend on what part of the chip has gone faulty

Does the Nintendo text show up, and then the console turns black and freezes? If so I'm just now finishing one that did that and it was the fuel gauge chip. However It could also be the M92 chip check wiki page for some info www.repair.wiki/w/Nintendo_Switch
