The timing does make it appear to only be placing but with the end of arm tooling the single arm Yumi can screw in. The amount of force needed for the material will have an effect on if this arm could do it or a larger arm is needed. Do you have a similar application that this could be useful?

Hello, great question! We made another video which shows how the syncro is setup between two drives. This was done exactly the same way except the mast drive was referencing a handwheel encoder. Read through menu 13 for setting up syncro from another source. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaOpfph6pLuYipY

Yes, it is possible to use them with position mode with that type of feedback device. You would follow the same steps, but enter the resolver into the feedback setup parameters.

@@Carolinamotioncontrols my resolvers are LTN re-15-1-a14 which according to the datasheet Vrms =7V are single poles ,on Mconnect you can only configure 2 poles upward at 2V and 3V ,6khz and 8khz , from that only does it mean I must throw away the resolvers, I have 3 old(2000-2003) ABB servo motors.

Great question! Initially i would not label a interior permanent magnet motor a servo motor. I would not necessary recommend using an IPM motor for a high dynamic application. Typically used for constant torque applications. Check out the Baldor-Reliance RPM AC IPM motor, we have had great success stories with these and an ACS880 drive.

Unidrive is the worst drive in the world. None are so complicated to operate. The Connect software is also a disaster. And yet it must have been updated 200 times.

What is the optional boards for this application? What is encoder type code?

There was no optional boards used for this application. We used Unidrive M700's which come with on-board Ethernet capabilities. The feedback device on the motors is EnDat.

We have SP1406 with resolver and it is indicating SL3.Er (Option module bay X trip: Option module in bay X has detected a fault ) and SL3.HF (Option module bay X trip: Option module X hardware fault). What can we do for solve it? Thank you

I apologize for the delay in response. If you are receiving a SL3.HF fault, that is typically due to an issue that is outside of your control to fix. We have seen where if the module is not making good contact with the drive (not fully seated on the drive) then this can cause a HF fault. You could try to move the module to a different slot to see if they works. Otherwise you may need a new module. If you visit our website we do offer option modules for sale.

Hi, cool video! Please help me figure it out. I have a drive Unidrive M700 which works with a servo (feedback: SC Hiperface). To solve my task, I need to use the built-in encoder emulator (AB). The problem is that at the output I have a low voltage signal, approximately (1) - 3.3 volts, and the PLC module is designed for 5 volts. Is it possible to change the voltage of the output signal in the encoder emulator?

Hello, that is a great question. However the simulated output signals are driven from the input signals. So if the input magnitude does not go that high then it is not possible to adjust the output signals.

Hello, I am not exactly sure what a external start parameter is. Unless you are referring to controlling the drive via communications then you could write to a Menu 6 bit or to the control word in menu 6 as long as you enable control word control.
