This video is soothing and therapeutic. I needed to watch this to hold on to some hope for the story after going through the events of Rebirth. Cloud’s character is extremely frustrating because he’s doubtful, non-communicative, and messed up from the experiments. Zack on the other hand is ideal, optimistic and a symbol of hope. He’s someone to aspire to become, and it’s even clearer why Cloud is overshadowed by his symbolism. Thoroughly enjoyed the masterful character analysis of Zack. He deserves a beautiful ending for being such an inspiring character.

This show sucks in the way it whitewashes crunch. I hate how there are constant "cute" jokes about how much work everyone is doing for bullshit reasons without the show ever showing the actual real consequence of that stuff. If this was just a normal sitcom about game development, I could overlook this, but this is specifically by ubisoft. It feels way, way grosser when a product from a company with an absolutely fucking terrible reputation for grinding developers into dust, which has been a constant and huge issue for going on 30 years now, to try to be cute like this. And yes, I have several friends who were straight up put into the hospital over crunch. Fuck this show.

jfc mythic quest was good- I watched this before I'd seen community so this was my introduction to Danny Pudi

Watching in 2024 because I've just gotten into the RE series. Bless getting a job, and bless Christmas sales on Steam because the games are top tier. It's been awhile since I've sat down and finished 3 games in a span of 3 days (Re2 remake, re4 remake, and re7). Currently deciding how to go from here, but so far, I'm addicted to the series and love the characters.

most of the apple tv shows are poorly marketed tbh! they are hidden gems ngl! after watching severance, i was hooked on apple tv, and wanted to watch more before my subscription ended. i watched shrinking, mythic quest, loot, acapulco, ted lasso, silo and defending jacob. And each one of them were just perfect! but unfortunately i had never even heard of most of these before! which is a shame!

The acting is not good. Its gimmicky.

Because of the extreme lag between seasons Mythic quest and Upload are great shows that are difficult to get into on top of being Apple TV...and having a Apple TV subscription is not the only way to watch

Very nice video and great analysis on ZACK!!! This is why I have always liked him better than Cloud right now cause Zack has always acted like a TRUE HERO with a strong will unlike Cloud who is just a emotional closed off wreck from what happened to him and being controlled from within. Still Aerith having feelings for Cloud is only because he is acting like Zack and not himself right now. Besides who knows? In part 3 the timelines might merge together and Zack will finally actually join up with the group and coma Aerith too if she wakes up. Ya know ever since Crisis Core I sometimes feel that FF7 was always meant to be Zack's story not Cloud's.

The pandemic episode is THE BEST REPRESENTATION OF THAT TIME. It is so easy to forget how we all tried to function with 110% anxiety and just make new normals - but were all on the verge of falling apart. Weezer's album "Ok Human" is another good piece of pandemic art. Love it love it love it. I'm glad you felt the same too.

Part 3 for me will hinge on Zack's role. If they keep him on the sidelines and backtrack the plot to OG and just have him teleport in for the final battle again then it'll be pretty disappointing. If Zack is fully playable and is more involved with the party then the finale could be a home run. I'm at least still hopeful that there'll be some changes because the lifestream sequence was already moved to Gongaga and Sephiroth has already told Tifa your words can't reach Cloud. Plus Cloud already remembers Zack so the picture reveal is no longer a major plot twist.

Really intelligent analysis, agree with everything you said, and you really understand Zack as a character. Maybe I slightly disgree that Zack is perfect - he has plenty of flaws, but he DOES have unwavering morals which is what's important for your point. I also think Zack's primary role in the story was to bring Aerith, Cloud, and the White Materia in the room together so Aerith could do the switch with the transparent one, but I will admit I never connected Sephiroth's feeding on despair with Zack dispelling despair in people. That was brilliant of you to notice.

Honestly, I'm kind of wondering if they did do Zack chapters but due to the length of Rebirth, they had to cut it or rather save it for a DLC??? I could at least a few chapters. The first chapter Zack helping the people of Sector 5 while doing things for Marlene and Elmyra. The second chapter he and Biggs go on a mini adventure and Biggs becomes a guest party member. The next chapters could be his adventure into shinra, and the other half his attempt to save Biggs. Then a final chapter that goes beyond the Rebirth, giving us another hint of what to expect in part 3... perhaps Zack getting very close to reuniting with Aerith. I will say, that Zack is actually my favorite character now. I actually wrote my own trailer for a Zack DLC which is different than what I suggest here. There is a version of No Promises to Keep by a user on here named Octavio who sings the song and sounds like Zack. So I wrote a script of a trailer for a Zack DLC with his version of the song in the background in his comment section.

Brilliant, watched over and over - five times! Lucky to catch this from Day One! Love every actor , so much talent. Love the lines, stories, scipts!!! Hope to see many more!!!

Well, we literally watched him ascend to Heavens at the End of Crisis core. No wonder he became Angel 😁 Love Zack with all my heart ❤ This is very good analyses. I also think they might make him the key to Aeriths Holy in this game. That is also one thing that is changed against the original for unknown reason, so it makes me feel they may tigh it to Zack.

This was such a good video with lots of insight on Zack and his role in the story. I'm really excited to see how FF7 part 3 will use Zack's character, and how he will continue to effect the narrative and characters when they meet him again. If Zack and Cloud reunite, and Zack and Aerith reunite, that's even more hope for FF7 world, it is something both Cloud and Aerith have wanted for the entire series

I also was shown the dani pudi clips but never considered watching it until binging the always sunny podcast where Rob and Meghan are both talking about this show, finally decided to give it a go and then immediately binged all three Seasons (Im already excited for the next one). Just goes to show you how great the writers of both shows are.
