I don't think the hp specs are correct. Looks like rear wheel hp on the ktm vs engine hp one the Kove. Apples to oranges I think. The KTM has 64 at engine, 40 at rear wheel. Very interesting bike though... I dig the fuel tanks and fairing setup

I like that tent! As you stated, ventilation might be a concern in the summer. Still, a good consideration for fall camping for me! Great video. Love the spectacular scenery! Waiting for the link to the cookies.

Behahaha that’s so awesome. Where does it go?

@ I bolted a pelican case to the rear rack and the tent ties on top with a couple of rok straps. Makes a nice back rest.

@@Iwilldoittomorrowmaybe what size pelican ?
@Iwilldoittomorrowmaybe2 күн бұрын
@ It measures 21x16x9 inches. I say pelican, but it’s actually a cheaper version I was using as a travel tool box until I bought the TW. I put a CycleRacks rear rack on shortly after buying the bike and bolted the case on with some u-bolts. The case is big enough to get all my camping kit in except for the tent and sleeping bag which get tied on top. If I really want to get fancy and bring the kitchen sink, I throw some saddlebags on as well.

We crushed rmatv red rocks to mountain tops this summer on the 500’s and they did flawlessly. Even rode 3 hours on the highway with mousses and it was completely fine. Mine is now at 28k and running steady, I’ve had it submerged past the headlight in an unfortunate water crossing gone wrong.

Great script, lots of laughs with the one liners. The tent made for those who aren't sure if they like camping, lol. In all seriousness tho, to be able to stand.....now that would be nice! But I'm like you, my idea of an adventure bike isn't a behemoth GS. Great vid.
@rangeroadmoto4 күн бұрын
Thanks Critter! Yeah different strokes for different folks. If I was more highway oriented and on a bigger twin cylinder I could see myself bringing something like this along. Bot so much on a 500exc.. or a xl100… haha

Great video, I went from DR650 to KTM 690 to KTM 450 excf, no regrets. Lots of guys get 200-300 hours before doing top end and often it doesn't even need it yet, my buddy went 300 hours with no need for valve adjustments. The EXCFs are great bikes, you pay more for higher performance and also have to do maintenance. Too many people spend way too much money trying to improve old tech of DR 650s, poor suspension, brakes and low power. The bush pig is a great bike but why not go for an EXCF that comes from the factory ready to ride anything you can throw at it.👍🤟

I just recently purchased the CF Moto 800 Ibex Explore edition in Calgary last week. They had a new 24 890 Adventure R sitting beside mine for close to the same money as that's what I was shopping for. I ride mostly road with occasional gravel roads but was fearful of the 890 and it's reliability. For sure the KTM is a better bike when it works, but the headaches are known and thought I would give the CF Moto a go (the tech is amazing on this bike for it's price) and see if it stands up. Global reviews of the CF Moto look promising (KTM 790 engine) but time will tell and I pray the 5 year warranty will not have to be used. Great honest video!

we have 6 X 890's between us. Totally awesome, unstoppable bikes. We have had little, to no problems with them. One of us sold his T700 and got the 890 Rally. You seriously cannot compare these 2 bikes. The Rally is a weapon
@rangeroadmoto23 күн бұрын
That’s awesome, glad you guys are having no mechanical issues with your 890’s! You’re not the only ones having a trouble free amazing time with their 790’s/890’s. With that being said within my relatively small circle of people i know personally I would say between 75%-90% of those people have had issues. And about half of those have been catastrophic top end engine failures resulting in new engines. And some of those new engines have also had failures. So I think it’s fair to look at the good and the bad with the 790/890’s. And while I agree the 890 is far more performance orientated than the t7 I wouldn’t say they aren’t comparable as most of the people I know who have ditched their 890’s have gone over the t7

I had one .. The honda ct125.. Very very underpowered. Honda screwed up by not keeping the hi/lo tranny. So i put a 60 tooth rear sprocket on. Then you coukd ride it in the woods. Street ? Forget it. Sold it. Bought a TW200
@rangeroadmotoАй бұрын
I agree with the choice. As you could see from our video the bike struggled pretty much everywhere. I was a little disappointed
@timhudson1846Ай бұрын
@rangeroadmoto ... yes. And the seat killed me. The 60 tooth rear sprocket made it fun , for walking speeds in the woods. Could literally climb a tree. But that seat was killer.

Amazing Film footage and imagery, very well done 5*****👋You guys have some real adventure landscape there. I just picked up my brand new 2024 CRF 300 I last Friday. Gonna spend the Winter adding around EUR 1000 of mods ready for next year. Agree with you 100% about a smaller Dual Sport Bike... I also have a BMW F800GS but would NEVER trust myself taking on big Offroad adventures, its just too big, too heavy (or I am too small to control it 🤪) Keep up the great work mate!
