I really appreciate your thoughtful and kind comment! I too had a dr650, it was my first off road bike. Such a great machine. I agree it was a little on the heavy side and I will usually try to ride lighter off road if I can. There’s some videos on the channel about the Dr650. Glad to see you’re still riding, I have a friend in Canada who is 68 and rides a Xr650L. It encourages me to know if I look after myself I can keep riding for a long long time. Have a great day and thank you for watching and leave the kind words

Since I am near 70, what would hurt a Gen Z'er would kill me dead on every turn of those trails. Here's a suggestion for all CT125 riders. Take the kickstarter off and throw it into a tailbag or other convenient place on the bike. That will get it out of the way of your feet. Then if you should ever need to use, just slip it back on, finger tighten the retaining bolt, and start your bike with it. That's what I have done, as I just couldn't see any reason to keep it on the bike while fighting to keep my feet off of it while bouncing around off road.

@rangeroadmoto14 күн бұрын
Honestly I had no issue with the power, it’s more so the auto clutch does not want to engage. There may be mods for this like similar to scooter CVT’s like adding heavier clutch weights but I’m honestly not too sure. If you’re gonna ride off road some basic things i would do: Better tires Remove centre stand Remove kick start lever And disengage ABS If you’re tall maybe add a cushion to the back of the seat cause your tailbone will hit the rear rack. Other than if you’re just cruising gravel roads and easy trail it should get you everywhere you wanna go!
