It's a very delicate machine and someday that machine is going to pivot a little too far toward instability and the universe is going to under go instantaneous phase transition. Like in an infinitesimal moment of time, the universe will cease to exist everywhere all at once.

Dr. Roger Penrose has suggested instead of trying to create a particle called the "graviton" to explain gravity, why not try to describe subatomic particles in terms of spatial curvature, as in the twist in a piece of real thread. What if we add one extra spatial dimension to the "Twistor Theory" of Dr. Roger Penrose? It can be "chiral" by having either Right-hand or Left-hand twist. It can be "Quantized", based on the number of twist cycles. If Physicists describe electrons as point particles with no volume, where is the mass of the particle? Can one extra spatial dimension produce a geometric explanation of the 1/2 spin of electrons? The following is an extension of the old Kaluza-Klein theory. Can a twisted 3D <---> 4D soliton containing one extra spatial dimension help solve some of the current problems in Particle Physics? What do the Twistors of Roger Penrose and the Geometric Unity of Eric Weinstein and the exploration of one extra spatial dimension by Lisa Randall and the "Belt Trick" of Paul Dirac have in common? Is the following idea a “Quantized” model related to the “Vortex Theory” proposed by Maxwell and others during the 19th century? Is the best explanation of the current data a form of “Twistor Theory” first proposed by Dr. Roger Penrose during 1967? During recent years Dr. Peter Woit has explored Twistor Theory as a possible solution to help explain the current Standard Model. Has the concept of the “Aether” been resurrected from the dead and relabeled as the “Higgs Field”? In Spinors it takes two complete turns to get down the "rabbit hole" (Alpha Funnel 3D--->4D) to produce one twist cycle (1 Quantum unit). Can both Matter and Energy be described as "Quanta" of Spatial Curvature? (A string is revealed to be a twisted cord when viewed up close.) Mass= 1/Length, with each twist cycle of the 4D Hypertube proportional to Planck’s Constant. In this model Alpha equals the compactification ratio within the twistor cone, which is approximately 1/137. 1= Hypertubule diameter at 4D interface 137= Cone’s larger end diameter at 3D interface where the photons are absorbed or emitted. The 4D twisted Hypertubule gets longer or shorter as twisting or untwisting occurs. (720 degrees per twist cycle.) If quarks have not been isolated and gluons have not been isolated, how do we know they are not parts of the same thing? The tentacles of an octopus and the body of an octopus are parts of the same creature. Is there an alternative interpretation of "Asymptotic Freedom"? What if Quarks are actually made up of twisted tubes which become physically entangled with two other twisted tubes to produce a proton? Instead of the Strong Force being mediated by the constant exchange of gluons, it would be mediated by the physical entanglement of these twisted tubes. Are these the “Flux Tubes” being described by many Physicists today? When only two twisted tubules are entangled, a meson is produced which is unstable and rapidly unwinds (decays) into something else. A proton would be analogous to three twisted rubber bands becoming entangled and the "Quarks" would be the places where the tubes are tangled together. The behavior would be the same as rubber balls (representing the Quarks) connected with twisted rubber bands being separated from each other or placed closer together producing the exact same phenomenon as "Asymptotic Freedom" in protons and neutrons. The force would become greater as the balls are separated, but the force would become less if the balls were placed closer together. Therefore, the gluon is a synthetic particle (zero mass, zero charge) invented to explain the Strong Force. The "Color Force" is a consequence of the XYZ orientation entanglement of the twisted tubules. The two twisted tubule entanglement of Mesons is not stable and unwinds. It takes the entanglement of three twisted tubules to produce the stable proton. The term “entanglement” in this case is analogous to three twisted ropes being wrapped around each other in a way which causes all of the ropes to move if someone pulls one of the ropes. Does the phenomenon of “Asymptotic Freedom” provide evidence that this concept is the correct interpretation of the experimental data now available? Can the phenomenon of "Supercoiling" help explain the "Multiple Generations" of particles in the Standard Model? The conversion of twist to writhe cycles is well understood in the structure of DNA molecules. Can the conversion of twist to writhe cycles and vice-versa help explain "neutrino oscillations"? Within this model neutrinos are a small, twisted torus produced when a tube becomes overtwisted and breaks producing the small, closed loop of twisted tube (neutrino), and a twisted tube open on each end, which is shorter than the original. (Beta Decay) Within this subatomic model gravity is produced by a very small higher dimensional curvature imbalance within atoms, which causes all atoms to be attracted to all other atoms. This extremely weak attraction reveals the very small scale of the curvature imbalance. This produces the curvature of spacetime on a larger scale like the solar system which is required to counterbalance this small imbalance in the individual atoms.

Even though Einstein believed in determinism, doesn't mean general relativity proves or even supports determinism; so Bohrian quantum voodoo isn't needed to break determinism. Also, determinism doesnt mean ONE effect; consider the effect of an individual fusion event in the sun to the movement of a single air particle in weather on earth millions of years later; 'deterministic' analysis would yield a huge number of possibilities, not just one.
@schmetterling447722 күн бұрын
Physics is not a religion. What people believe in is irrelevant. Einstein clearly never looked at a Minkowski diagram. If he had, he would have noticed that special relativity completely rules out determinism.

2:50 "this type of collapse would seem to break special relativity"; it breaks the theory of information travelling at the Speed Of Light, which if fundamental, means 'entanglement' and 'collapse' ISN'T fundamental, it just needs hidden variables or interpretation, it needs the scrutiny of SCIENCE not Bohrian voodoo... And no, despite Nobel prizes for effort giving impetus, 'hidden variables' hasn't been ruled out...

I’ve met many fine research economists and they all like to call economics a tool box. I think there’s two different sides to this debate There’s economics and economic policy Economics truly is a science. They do research, conduct experiments (despite popular belief they do.) test data, produce falsifiable claims, all of it. It changes some depending on specialization of economics but research economists try really hard to make sure it is conducted scientifically. But Economics like this doesn’t get people rich, or elected, or win wars, or makes the news. Many people take what’s already known in economics and apply it to other aspects of life, which directly impacts us. This form of economics is no more scientific than building a model rocket and calling your self a rocket scientist. Genuine science went into explaining why these things work the way they do. Non science people take these ideas and apply them, impacting our lives. Obviously this form of economics is not scientific.

Dr. Broadway, what you are describing here seems to be nothing less than PROOF of the theory of the holographic universe and an information-based reality! If the information in the video is correct, the natural constants of current physics would have to be reformulated! For example, the “speed of light” is currently based on the assumption of an unchanging “space”. But if “space” is different through measurement, then the corresponding “space measurement” would have to be specified for each resulting “speed of light”. This would practically no longer make sense. If you are interested, I would be happy to discuss this with you.

I can prove neutrons don't decay by quarks transforming: Proof: Take the reaction: u + e^- -> d + electron neutrino. Since this is called "electron capture" the electron could not have changed into an electron neutrino. Therefore the neutrino got produced illegally. Hence the reaction couldn't have happened like this. If we rewrite this as: u + e^- + electron antineutrino + electron neutrino -> d + electron neutrino and then cancel the electron neutrino on both sides we get: u + e^- + electron antineutrino -> d. This reaction in turn cannot happen because the electron antineutrino would have illegally ceased to exist. Instead we need to find a way to let the electron and electron antineutrino combine into energy. We can build throwards this by assuming the electron and electron antineutrino binds to form a anti-ud. So we have: u + anti-ud -> d + anti-uu. This can be done since the anti-uu can annihilate into energy. This reaction can happen. We therefore see that the only thing that could have happened is that the u and d changed places, and that quark transformation didn't happen. QED. With this logic neutron decay happens as follows: udd + anti-uu -> uud + anti-ud -> uud + e^- + electron antineutrino. Saying that: the d (charge -1/3) changes into a u (charge 2/3) by emitting a W-minus (charge -1) by charge conservation is coupling the numbers to the quarks and the operation "plus" to the W-minus via someone's mind. Physics does not read minds. If you were to implement these numbers and operation physically you would run into the problem of not being able to describe the transformation in detail. My way does describe the process. You also can't write the in between state. I can it is: d-anti-uu, and the reaction then proceeds by minimization of energy.

Taking a mathematical snapshot of something that by its very definition cannot be at rest is like taking a picure of a moving car with a camera that has perfect shutter speed and 0 blur. Once the picture is taken the information after disappears and we're left with the position. As far as we're concerned there is no information after this, yet the car has continued on. It seems like we're bringing a relativistic approach i.e. taking a mathematical snapshot to a quantum quation. Measuring the particle essentially tells it to reveal its state at that instant, we see a momentary state. If we take the same car and place it in exactly the same position as the car in the picture taken when it was moving, there would be no difference in the picture assuming a uniform background. Perhaps the tool we're using isn't complete

@ A wave function doesn't describe a particle. A wave function describes the potential (but yet unmeasured) changes of energy of a quantum mechanical ensemble, i.e. the potential relative frequencies of quanta that an infinite repetition of the same quantum mechanical experiment can result in. Absolutely nothing in the theory talks about "one quantum", let alone a single "particle". I have to tell you these things because you don't understand the theory. You just think you do. That's Dunning-Kruger at work.

Emergent Subjective Theory (EST): A Comprehensive Overview Emergent Subjective Theory (EST) proposes that subjectivity, or conscious experience, is not a byproduct of physical processes but rather an emergent property of the universe itself. The theory argues that subjectivity arises from the increasing complexity and organization of systems over time, leading to the experience of consciousness in living beings, particularly humans. This theory seeks to address the hard problem of consciousness, an issue that traditional scientific approaches have struggled to explain. By viewing subjectivity as a fundamental and emergent feature of complex systems, EST integrates scientific concepts from complexity theory, quantum mechanics, and systems theory with philosophical discussions about the nature of reality, consciousness, and human experience. Key Tenets of Emergent Subjective Theory Subjectivity as an Emergent Property: EST asserts that subjective experience (the “what it’s like” aspect of consciousness) is not an isolated phenomenon but an emergent aspect of complex systems. As systems increase in complexity-whether biological, neural, or societal-subjectivity arises naturally as a way of organizing and interpreting the system’s interactions. In this view, subjectivity is a process, not a passive state. Complexity and Organization as Drivers of Emergence: The theory draws on principles from complexity theory, which posits that as systems evolve and become more organized, new properties and behaviors emerge that are not reducible to the individual components of the system. These emergent properties are novel, coherent, and often unpredictable. In the context of EST, the complexity of neural networks in the human brain, for example, gives rise to the emergent property of subjectivity. Subjectivity as Part of Universal Process: According to EST, subjectivity does not only apply to humans. All living systems have a form of subjective experience that serves to organize and navigate the environment. The theory proposes that the universe itself can be thought of as a subjectivity generator, with varying degrees of complexity manifesting subjectivity at different levels of life. Human Organization and Subjectivity: The theory connects human subjective experience with the ability to organize, communicate, and understand complex systems. It argues that human success in organizing and understanding the world around us is rooted in our subjective consciousness, which allows for nuanced interpretations, decision-making, and the formation of collective beliefs and cultures. Human consciousness thus plays a pivotal role in shaping the universe, not as passive observers but as active participants in the universe’s complexity. The Illusion of Free Will: EST also addresses the notion of free will, suggesting that what we perceive as free will is an illusion generated by the complexity of subjective experience. Our decisions and actions are ultimately determined by the systems in which we exist, and our awareness of them as "choices" is a reflection of the subjective experience that emerges from complex neural and environmental processes. Supporting Evidence and Theoretical Foundations Complexity Theory and Emergence: Complexity theory suggests that as systems evolve and increase in complexity, new, emergent properties arise that cannot be predicted from the system’s individual components. The example of neural networks in the brain demonstrates this idea-individual neurons interact in complex ways, leading to the emergent phenomenon of consciousness. EST argues that subjectivity is another such emergent property, arising from the intricate organization of brain activity, social interaction, and environmental input. Quantum Mechanics and Observer Effects: Concepts from quantum mechanics, such as quantum entanglement and the observer effect, align with EST's view of subjectivity. In quantum mechanics, the state of a system is indeterminate until measured, suggesting that observation or consciousness plays an active role in determining reality. This idea mirrors EST's assertion that subjectivity is not just a passive reflection of the universe but plays an active role in shaping the experience of reality. The idea that consciousness might collapse quantum states into definite realities (as posited by certain interpretations of quantum mechanics) is congruent with EST's view that subjective experience is integral to organizing and structuring the complexity of the universe. Shared Subjectivity and Human Organization: As complexity increases, systems are able to communicate and coordinate in more sophisticated ways. This is particularly evident in human society, where individuals contribute their subjective experiences to form collective beliefs, cultural norms, and organizational structures. EST argues that this shared subjectivity is foundational to human organization, as it allows humans to cooperate, communicate, and make decisions in ways that enable large-scale systems to function. Philosophical Context - Conscious Realism: EST shares similarities with conscious realism (proposed by philosopher Donald Hoffman), which argues that consciousness is fundamental to the fabric of reality and that perception shapes the world we experience. In both theories, consciousness is not something that emerges from physical processes, but rather a foundational element of reality that structures the experience of existence. However, EST posits that subjectivity is emergent, arising from the complexity of interacting systems, whereas conscious realism leans more towards the idea of consciousness being a primary feature of the universe. Evidence from Cognitive Science and Neuroscience: Neuroscience supports the idea that subjectivity arises from neural complexity. Studies of the brain suggest that as neural networks become more intricate, they give rise to higher-order cognitive functions, such as self-awareness and metacognition. The neural correlates of consciousness (NCC) are identified as the patterns of neural activity that correspond to conscious experience. This aligns with EST’s view that subjectivity is an emergent property of neural complexity. Evolutionary Biology: From an evolutionary perspective, the theory suggests that subjectivity and the complexity of consciousness have evolved as adaptive traits that enhance survival. The capacity for self-reflection, decision-making, and social cooperation provided by subjectivity has allowed humans to navigate complex environments, form societies, and develop technologies that increase their chances of survival. EST implies that the universe, through its vast interconnectedness, favors the development of complex systems that generate consciousness, facilitating the growth of intelligent life. Relation to Other Theories of Consciousness Determinism vs. Free Will: EST implies a deterministic view of consciousness, where subjectivity and behavior are emergent properties of increasingly complex systems. While individuals experience the illusion of free will, all actions are determined by the interactions of various factors within the system. Dualism vs. Materialism: EST challenges dualistic views of consciousness (mind vs. body) and rejects the materialistic reductionist approach that sees consciousness as an epiphenomenon of brain activity. Instead, EST positions subjectivity as an integral part of the emergent processes of complex systems, transcending the mind-body divide. Phenomenology: EST also resonates with phenomenological approaches, particularly those that explore how the structure of experience shapes our understanding of reality. However, EST emphasizes that subjectivity is an emergent property, not an intrinsic feature of individual beings. Limitations and Areas for Future Exploration While EST offers a comprehensive framework for understanding consciousness, it faces challenges in fully explaining the "why" of subjective experience and its precise role in the grand scheme of the universe. The interaction between subjectivity and the physical world, as well as the details of how subjective experiences emerge from complex systems, remains an ongoing question. Further research into quantum mechanics, complex systems theory, and neuroscience will be needed to refine EST and address lingering questions. Nonetheless, the theory provides a compelling lens for understanding how subjectivity fits into the larger cosmic system, highlighting the interconnectedness of the universe and offering new insights into the nature of consciousness. This overview of Emergent Subjective Theory (EST) provides a theoretical framework for understanding consciousness as an emergent property of complex systems, drawing on principles from complexity theory, quantum mechanics, and neuroscience. It positions subjectivity as both an integral and active component of the universe, shaping human experience and organization, while contributing to the broader emergent processes of reality itself.

In the many-worlds interpretation, every time a wave function collapses the world splits into two or more universes, because in a double-slit experiment there are many points where the particle can collapse, so the universe would have to split into many universes. Now at this instant a gigantic number of quantum waves are collapsing throughout the universe, that is to say, at every instant each universe multiplies into a monstrous number of new universes, but that means that at every instant the energy of the universe has to multiply by that same number to give existence to those innumerable new universes, so there is no more absurd interpretation than the many-worlds interpretation.

Eli and James had always shared a close bond, but tonight, the tension between them felt different. At the Halloween party, amidst laughter and whispered dares, they found themselves in an impromptu game that had everyone watching. The dim lights cast soft shadows across their faces as they locked eyes, both knowing what was about to happen. Their friends cheered them on, but for Eli and James, the moment was electric with something unspoken. Slowly, they leaned toward each other, the scent of cologne mixing with excitement as their hands steadied the rim of the bowl placed teasingly inside James's waistband. As Eli lowered his face, the cool water splashed slightly against his cheeks, heightening every sensation. His breath brushed against James's stomach, causing a sharp intake of breath that only Eli noticed. His lips grazed an apple as he struggled to keep his focus, but all he could feel was James’s presence, so close, so inviting. Finally, Eli caught the apple with his teeth, but before pulling away, their eyes met again, and a soft grin spread across James's face. The room may have been filled with laughter and teasing remarks, but for the two boys, time seemed to pause in the shared intensity of the moment. When Eli finally pulled back, the apple dropped to the floor, but it didn’t matter. They were both left breathless, feeling the charge between them that no one else seemed to notice. A spark had ignited in the most unexpected of games, and they knew that this night would change things. Without a word, James’s fingers lingered a little longer at Eli's side, a silent promise of what was to come.
