When my both ears was affected by Tinnitus I was surprised and was wondering what could be the cause though I never cared to find the answer to those questions and what I was Concerned about was looking for the remedies which I found with Dr Madida. A crazy note on Cocaine addictions..did you know th just the Idea, the visual.image in an addicts brain when they imagine getting their hands in the drug, causes their intestines to kick in and they find themselves sitting on the toilet..the idea and reward of having the freedom to.dictate their mood, they say, I worked so God darn hard this week, this is MY MONEY. this is MY BUSINESS..and there are the babies on the other side of the door, knocking, crying, hungry..Mommy?? Some REWARD..that's the reality of the reward factor and how strong the chains of addiction will ruin the most promising of young families..

It would be interesting to see the difference between patients who get treated properly and recieve PAIN MEDICATION, and the majority of the rest of us who is left to suffer because Drs won't provide pain medications.

I have central pain syndrome and Adult Onset Tourettes. Both of these are results of brain damage/neural pathway destruction and damage as a result of undertreated and untreated chronic pain. When I told the practitioner with the clinic that I was a patient of about the central pain syndrome diagnosis from neuro and the suggested treatment for it (increasing the amount of pain meds), the practitioner instead opted to inform me that he was writing my last script under him and that he was dropping me from his care- without writing a discharge letter for me. I then proceeded to develop Adult Onset Tourettes to go along with the central pain syndrome diagnosis. I'm grateful for my current pain management provider who understands that I have the two conditions that are results of brain damage and has granted acceptance for my neurologist (neuro) to have me on a benzo to help with side effects of the brain damage even though he (pain management) has me on opiates for helping to keep the pain tolerable.

One of my family went through medical school and precious little is taught about chronic pain but what is taught that anybody who asks for pain drugs is a "drug seeker". Pure and simple. Addict. They are taught that even a broken leg will heal fully in a few months so pain meds do not need to be prescribed but for a very short time. They are TAUGHT that! I saw the book.
@michellesotak2683
@michellesotak2683 Жыл бұрын
I absolutely believe it. I was definitely treated as a drug seeker & a few times was horribly treated my medical professionals, when I was on opiates for my chronic pain. I’m still treated like a drug seeker even though I’ve been off pain meds for over 2 yrs even though I never ask for them. The younger Dr’s all have a new philosophy regarding pain being a mental construct that can easily be managed & overcome with yoga & mindfulness. It’s ridiculous. There’s been a huge culture shift in how pain is regarded in this Country & people in real pain are paying the price.

The fact that the supposedly "secular" T.M. movement, didn't like the fact the Benson exposed one of their dirty little secrets, speaks volumes. They like to insist that only *their* form of meditation (after you've spent hundreds of pounds/dollars learning what can be taught for free) is really effective. I've learned T.M. when the price was reasonable (£35, student rate) and also read Benson's book (under £10) and seen his free explanations on line and although there are slight differences in the technique, i.e. the Benson technique uses the "out" breath to repeat the mantra, whereas in T.M. the mantra is not tied to, nor dependent upon the breath, the "results," are much the same. In fact, I prefer the Benson method which seems to allow me to go "deeper!" And, having recently watched "David Wants to Fly," which exposes the T.M. movement as a pretty tacky, money grabbing outfit, I think that I'd much prefer to stick to the Benson method. There's a pretty powerful scene where a guy claims himself to be a "Raja" (pretentious prick) in Germany and gets shouted down by members of the audience, to the point where David Lynch (who insists that the movement is "secular," while also waxing lyrical about being in the Ganjes, at the same time as his "Holiness," the Maharishi's ashes are sprinkled therein) has to leap to his defense. Whenever I hear the T.M. movement mentioned, I think: Kerr-CHING! £$£$ 😉

From all of this rhetoric one would feel that this fine lady and any of her associates had never heard of Dr Andrew Weil, MD and his rain making center for "Integrative medicine" Of course the allopathic momentum is loath to surrender any ground intertwined as it is with the behemoth power of big pharma. 'Rest' may have to join the likes of 'bad' and 'dope' as an omni word. Context and ambiguity seem to be taking over. If how we say things becomes more important than what we say, this message will carry no meaning. Still. Searching for root causes of effects is laudable, trypanophobia not withstanding.

Exactly. The epidemic is that they aren't treating people with pain like they desperately need. My step brother had terrible back pain from abuse he suffered as a child & couldn't get his pills so he killed himself. My roommate (a disabled vet with over 30 surgeries) has chronic pain after a botched surgery but they refuse to raise his pain meds a measly 5 mg. They are making him go thru all sorts of invasive procedures and putting him on other meds with bad side effects. It appears the drs just want him dead. I have fibromyalgia and became destitute looking for help with my pain. Now I spend most of my days in bed but also trying to support my roommate however I can. Thank god for my sister who helps with cooking, errands, cleaning, walking dogs, etc. It's a wicked world we're living in, that's for sure. No matter what, dont let them take away your joy, laughter, or love.💪💞

Thanks for leaving this comment! I've also had a severe chronic pain disorder for almost thirty years and have been inadequately medicated for pain for most of that time and understand exactly what you're talking about. For the past several years my pain's so severe that I often gnaw on my tongue when I finally do manage to sleep. You're right that we're the unintended victims in the war on opiates.

Here is an interesting bit - do a search for violence against pain doctors. Some people are really not taking it lying down. ONE example "On June 1st, 2022, a lone gunman, Michael Louis, walked into a medical office building in Tulsa, OK, and with a semi-automatic rifle and a semi-automatic handgun, shot and killed 4 people prior to turning his gun on himself and taking his own life. “…Mr. Louis, suffered from chronic low back pain, and among the victims were the orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Preston Phillips”
