A small thing I wanted to write in the description but ran out of words for: It's always spooky watching the credits and the character images, as if even one of them is shadowy dark coloured that means you missed interacting with one of them and definitely didn't get 100%. The timer shown in the bottom left of the game screen is unlocked as part of a speedrun mode after you beat the game once. Beat in Normal for Normal Speedrun, beat in Extra for Extra Speedrun. Regular save files cannot be redone without wiping all game data, but speedrun modes are an exception and let you replay them infinitely. Also tutorial is required because it has an interactable sign which most likely counts to completion percentage. This however has not been verified, and I don't believe you can go back to tutorial after leaving it. So please do NOT miss this interactable on any playthrough of the regular save files (one for Normal and one for Extra)! Oh, and the orangey-yellow beams of light refill SP to max when entered.

This game mostly has a Japanese community, and there's only two Any% runs I can find: kzbin.info/www/bejne/poPKl5d5erWohsU and kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKOroIp6gLuKa7s This game was released on July 16th 2024 at JST time. As far as I'm aware this is the very first 100% speedrun to exist. There is a 100% video aside from mine but it was not a speedrun and took nearly double my time: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qXOqdIiYi6mhZs0 Dev's Twitter: x.com/FizDv Game Steam Page: store.steampowered.com/app/2299930/Fiz_and_the_Rainbow_Planet/ Special thanks to this Steam guide by kopper0625 for some help when I was deep into 100% and needed to know a few things: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3291591588 Also thanks to that 100% playthrough video for showing me where the Berry Volcano Act 1 secret guest character is so I could interact with them for 100%. I almost completely forgot to mention, in the final stage in act 3, the final boss follows you as an orb prior to the final room and actually facing them at the end of the stage. When following the player, the orb occasionally fires a burst of power that flashes the screen white. If the player is out in the open and not behind a brick wall background then they will be turned to stone temporarily. For those who read everything: I have 10.9 hours on this game on Steam and all achievements (which isn't that hard as all achievements is gained by just beating the game normally).

This is the version that was on Gamebrew back in the day, I played it often. Usually got stuck at the vampire bat on floor 8, but eventually figured out a route that got me past that. After that, I got to see the rest of the game, and eventually had one more run that softlocked on the final boss thanks to the dark mages sapping my health. I can beat it consistently now! Great memories here.

Glad to hear it! Great game honestly. I've been playing the Tower of the Sorcerer original game line ups and inspired creations recently, and none of them have been as fun as this flash game was (except maybe that one time I thought I cleared the H5 taptap version but didn't). Yeah, the dark mages do Percentage HP Damage to you, so the amount of damage you take scales with the health you have. The same also happens with the blue cloaked mages with the red eyes. On my channel right now, I also have the 魔塔v1.12 version with the True Ending and True Final Boss. I also have these: Tower of the Sorcerer (TotS/TWS) on the H5 chinese engine and the Java Applet demo version (Java Applet only lets you to floor 20, but I managed to get to floor 40 anyways). I have a video for the Original TotS game created by one guy from Caravan Circle called N.W/ShufLarJp/NAO/NW, and its original name was: Labyrinth RPG Magic Tower which was often shortened to Magic Tower, though some translations have shown Devil Tower/Dragon Tower in the Chinese Community. The Java Applet Port was created by Oz, who is one of the two people who worked on the Windows Port (Oz & Kenichi). As far as the original developer is concerned who created the original Tower of the Sorcerer game, here is their info page: wwajp.com/product.html and main website: wwajp.com/ and here is the PC-98 original game download: wwajp.com/mtower/

@@Eradem I might try my hand at making a fangame tbh, it's a unique take on a puzzler. The flame wizards that hold staffs also do 100 damage upon starting a fight with them. There's also a green one that does 300.

@@StormerSage The most recent big game released for this genre is Tactical Nexus, though the aim of that game is scoring well as opposed to pure survival (although pure survival is part of it). That game also has a controversial pricing method. There's a lot of fangames on the WWA (World Wide Adventure) in Japanese found here: wwajp.com/top.html wwawing.com/ But I personally recommend the fangames on h5mota found here: h5mota.com/play, as the Chinese H5 engine is very good and they all play directly in your browser, even if you'll need a translation tool on hand like translate.yandex.com/en/ocr The H5 engine also lets you make your own games through their own editor which is pretty nice. Some people also like the game Soulstenation on Steam, which I thought was pretty interesting but haven't been able to spend much time in it yet (I don't know why they used not great music for the first area though). I also bought Malice in Magic Tower more recently but haven't had time to play it yet. I also beat DungeonUp a while ago which uses the TotS formula but with random level layouts. Some people play DROD as that's a similar kind of game. The IWBTG (I wanna be the guy) fangame community created "Not Another Magic Tower Game", which follows the genre as well, but you can prevent getting hit by enemies by dodging well as opposed to having a straight up HP calculation. Worth mentioning the calculation for these games is the following: Damage Calculations: Enemy Attack - Player Defence = X Player Attack - Enemy Defence = N Enemy HP / N = Turns. X * Turns = Damage Taken. e.g. 1580 - 525 = 1055 442-190 = 252 8000 / 252 = 31.746031746 (becomes 31) 1055 * 31 = 32,705

Video starts around 0:23 Earlier part of the video is to show me saving and loading a h5route file (replay files on the h5mota website) after loading my save file, as I didn't originally record the run. The replay delays when purchasing upgrades to make sure you can watch your stat distributions more closely, but due to this times where I pressed the buttom many times in a row cause multiple presses against nothing which delays progress in the replay. A similar issue happens when clicking on points on the screen because that teleports your character to that position so long as you can walk there, but replay files cause a delay where they show a red arrow for a bit. I kept that to a minimum when I beat this game though.

What does the difficulty change? I couldn't find that information anywhere
@Eradem
@Eradem 6 ай бұрын
From what I know of, nothing except for not being able to die throughout the whole game. It's the traditional IWBTG impossible difficulty where you play the entire game with no saves. Considering how hard this game is, I would never recommend actually doing that - but beating Pahe was fun enough (despite being RNG madness and slow). This is v1.03 of the game, and in v1.04 the difficulty was renamed to "Impossible". v1.04 also introduced hints to stage 5 boss, and some stage 6 boss portions which made the game a fair bit easier and more accessible. I personally only play the v1.03 version of the game though.

Here's a separate comment for anyone lost and don't wish to read my more larger comment for the information of the in-game stats that are in Chinese buried within: If anyone is confused of the stats that are labelled in Chinese, here's what they mean in terms of gameplay: Player's stats on top left, from top to bottom from character portrait they are: Level, HP, Attack, Defence, Gold, EXP. In battle, the stats go from top to bottom as the following: HP, Attack, Defence. In the enemy stats screen "L" menu, the numbers are as follows: First number next to enemy portrait is HP, to the right of HP is defence, to the right of defence is total damage dealt to player, to the top of defence is attack, and to the top of total damage dealt to the player is turn rounds (aka how many times they attack each other before the battle completes, roughly speaking). Big light blue-grey golem (floors 3 & 11) shop order top to bottom: HP, Attack, Defence upgrades. Floor 12 Red Guy Key Purchaser who buys keys off of the player in the following order top to bottom: Yellow/Orange Key, Blue Key, Red Key. Floor 5 Red Guy Key Seller who sells keys to the player in the following order top to bottom: Yellow/Orange Key, Blue Key, Red Key. Floor 5 & 13 Blue Old Guy in the following order top to bottom: Level Up, Attack, Defence. Floors 11 & 13 are the better variants that give more for the higher cost than the lower cost adds up to for EXP & Gold related upgrades respectively, so replace the Floor 3 & 5 counterparts once reached until the literal end game when eeking out the small residue of points left over before facing True Final Boss where you're locked into the room unless you win or lose. The Big light blue-grey golem costs gold for upgrades/more HP. The Blue Old Guys cost exp for upgrades/level ups. The guys at floor 15 cost 500 EXP & 800 gold respectively in v1.11, but I think they're more about 500-600 in v1.12 - they give massive attack & defence boosts respectively, so must be saved up for at the right time and not avoided. Also the guys at floor 2 are always worthwhile as well, so long as you don't take more than 2k damage roughly on the enemy orange/yellow knight to reach them.

I reached 4992 of 5000 characters in my video description, so here's a few things that were left out: The game on v1.12 is sped up on the original flash files when ran in the flash 6 player that flashpoint provides, but this doesn't impact the quality of the game in any way, and appears to only speed up the fight sequences which are normally the slowest part of the game - making the game more engaging overall. v1.11 does not suffer this issue and is therefore at the original intended game speed. You can find v1.11 (the harder version that doesn't have floors 22+ and True Final Boss) directly on Flashpoint by searching "Magic Tower" without quotes or these characters: 魔塔 Original game link for v1.11 is: game.sina.com.tw/littlegame/flash_show.php?id=7543 Game links for v1.12: github.com/gdut-yy/MagicTower/blob/master/魔塔V1.12.swf cdn.flasharch.com/uploads/archived/2020/12/07/e43c7feb07a5559b8f14e89ce2050b92_20201207004455.swf flasharch.com/en/archive/play/6150d75eb73e0cb3e6405fa9951c6604 Best way to run v1.12 is to use the curate feature of Flashpoint to run the game in FPSoftware\Flash\6r21\SAFlashPlayer.exe That said, if this ever gets fully added to Flashpoint as its own separate v1.12 entry, that would be great (I really love v1.11's hardcore nature, as much as I love v1.12's more laid back nature)! If you're interested in the difficulty of v1.11 versus v1.12, I have a few twitch highlights based on the v1.11 version, one of which being a speedrun to floor 16, which can easily demonstrate how much harder it is to reach floor 16 in v1.11 versus v1.12! (v1.11 is harder in general, making the floor 21 boss really difficult to get stats to beat) Towards the end of v1.12, my biggest issue was just getting runs that were capable of beating True Final Boss, rather than the moment to moment gameplay inherently - which requires lots of optimisations and some occasional video looking. The best video I found for learning this game after you've beaten it once on v1.11 is this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJPJiWp4qtOrba8 The video above helped me figure out an initial routing for the game, which allowed me to create my own route based on it for the v1.11 floor 16 speedrun as it required many edits to the strategy provided in the video to work! Many of which were subtle. I only checked on the video when I was near the end of this v1.12 run and for learning the floor 16 speedrun, as I had softlocked on the v1.12 true final boss multiple times and wanted to know what went wrong, which turned out to be using the cross on floor 7 too early, and not balancing my stats out to a high level prior to using the cross - other than that, I pretty much had everything I needed to know already (though due to my paranoia towards the end of the run I still checked the video a few more times for advice at key junctions/moments, and still barely pulled through for the victory). In short, I beat v1.11 on my own with only the flashpoint description, and used the video to help with the floor 16 speedrun (still had to figure out my own strategies and learn myself for v1.11, the speedrun was by no means cookie-cutter or just follow and guarantee floor 16 until v1.12 - which even then I do improvements on), and then used the video again once softlocking on True Final Boss multiple times to help me refine and find the true final solution to win, which was certain stat value thresholds at key moments such as before arriving on floor 21 and what I need to be roughly at before using floor 7 cross. If anyone is confused of the stats that are labelled in Chinese, here's what they mean in terms of gameplay: Player's stats on top left, from top to bottom from character portrait they are: Level, HP, Attack, Defence, Gold, EXP. Also the guys at floor 2 are always worthwhile as well, so long as you don't take more than 2k damage roughly on the enemy orange/yellow knight to reach them. For some reason the game doesn't play music when reaching the credits after winning the game, but does if you press the quit button. I made sure to demonstrate this in the video.

Lastly, here's the description from Flashpoint I referenced (the following passages of text below are not my own words, they are the words of the writer of Flashpoint Curator and/or translated from the creator. This is specifically for v1.11): Translation Of Original Description: A timeless classic roguelike dungeon RPG! (note: This game is based on Tower of the Sorcerer JRPG.) Venture into this mysterious tower. The story is not overly complicated, simply save the princess that is trapped in the tower. There are 20 floors, with monsters guarding (almost) all of them. To win is not an easy task, and here is what a veteran (me) has got to say about this game. There are numerous items in the game that help progress further into the game (kind of like metroidvania, but not quite). The battle system is deterministic and no randomness factor is involved. There is no critical hit or evasion mechanics. The system determines the result of the battle beforehand by subtracting attack by defense and if the player will die after the queued fight, the fight will be rejected. If nothing can be battled and no more items / shop purchases are available, then it's a good sign that you messed up somewhere and should restart. Press <R> to restart. There is a lack of a save system (and literally has you restart any time you make any mistakes), making this game qualify as nintendohard. Once you obtain the monster encyclopedia, you may view the monster statistics of your current floor by pressing <L>. You can level up (note: it is completely unnecessary to do so, I have win without purchasing any level ups and stayed at level 5; there are level up items so whatever) and purchase attack, defense, and HP (note: it is completely unnecessary to buy HP). Please refrain from saving up cash or XP unless you know what you are doing as most of the time battles reduce less HP the higher your stats are. Diring mid-game, please ensure you always have 100$ to spare for red keys. There are certain unskippable sequences that require red keys to proceed. There are two main points of difficulty here. The first is that the player can kill everything just fine until they reach the red bat. The red bat that blocks the way on the 8th floor must be defeated for the game to progress. The second is the boss on 20th floor. There are two guards that you cannot skip, and they each take away one third of your HP, ignores defense (pro tip: the true final boss has 2275 attack and 1800 defense). As long as you keep these two points in mind, the game should pose as little difficulty as possible other than the slow battle animations. Have fun!

When I try to instal the game, it tells me that he can't find the specified file. Did you had this issue and/or do you know how to fix it ?
@Eradem
@Eradem 7 ай бұрын
You must run the game exe in Japanese using Locale Emulator. You can typically run game installers with Locale Emulator as well if that's necessary. If the zip file has garbled characters instead of Japanese, you'll need to install Bandizip (I personally use the portable version) and choose the Japanese Language Code Page (globe icon) and then extract the zip file with that, otherwise the files won't be extracted properly and therefore the game can't read them. Generally it's a good idea to use Bandizip to unzip any Japanese or Chinese games with the appropriate Language Code Page selected to prevent any potential issues.

Th6 Stage 5 Lunatic perfect interests me the most, that game is brutal in a very funny number of ways. The way the game handles RNG randomisation of how hard and easy a boss is, on top of scaling the entire game to be harder depending how well you do is insane. I see you've got a bunch of playlists, but don't have a K2 playlist for your K2 content? :o Good luck finally beating K2 some day though, you might be ready for it by now. :) I might finally be ready for K3 EX Emperor soon to finish my K3 100%, but we'll see! And awhhh, that explains why I couldn't see anything of you beating it. That sure sucks that you lost that K2 footage! D: I'd say do it again, but K2 really is not a fun game to play all the way through. When it comes to K3, the only things I didn't like were: stage 1 boss, stage 2 boss, stage 3 & stage 3 boss, Stage 5's Kamilia Area on the maze section, Stage 5's Betty Area & Rukito Area. I didn't really like Cyber Area, but that was mostly because of the RNG of whether the crystal can be caught or not. Other than those listed, if you were going from A-B, beat the entire game without optional extras, I think it isn't too bad (provided you're skilled enough). Although I would absolutely use a practice tool for bosses like Doruppi as that genuinely would be awful to do without learning it first. If we include optional extras in K3, there's a lot more mixed opinions on what I did and didn't like.Honestly, I need to run through the game again at some point after I finally beat EX Emperor in the future, it'll be an interesting thing to do.

Thank you for playing SlimePark! 51 hours (!) on the internal timer. There is data that has been played and appears to be very well researched. As you may have already experienced, you can enter the museum by taking 7 hidden items and boss item.

I have since finished all the extra stage levels and collected all the keys. However, the thought of beating all 100 levels and collecting all keys in one continuous run without dying on impossible mode for the True Ending.... Oh god, that's miserable. XD I am aware that the keys do stay persistent on the save file, but that's not really much of a bonus. lmao Turns out I have a copy of v1.00 where the F6 bug is present to go to hub when you die in impossible mode, negating the death and having to redo the game over again. Let's gooo. Appears that key states also saved progress in hub in v1.00 if you happen to press R. Pog. I may some day attempt the real impossible mode on v1.09, but right now I just want to see all the game content. xd
