Bonita construcción. Esperaba ver el momento en que las cavidades fueran abiertas abiertas. Supongo que era problemas de tiempo. De todos modos Excelente trabajo.

My apologies, I routed out the cavities but forgot to record it. I didn’t install the top in the beginning because I was concerned about the cnc messing up a $200 top :) Thanks for the comment. I’m going to upload this video with commentary when I get time to make it

I filmed almost 400 clips to make this video. I filmed those cut outs in the body but forgot to film routing through the maple top I glued on at 3:13 I’m not sure what sticker your talking about
@old_falc5 күн бұрын

I saw you had your fret slots too wide on the other video. Why not having used one of these 0.6 end-mill bits for cutting the fret slots? They work great *if* you go slowly on the feed. I myself broke a few before getting the parameters right (depending on your equipment, and the fretboard material) but the width of the cut is spot on! ø0.6 bits are cheap (like $10 for a box of 10) on Ali, so worth a try 🙂

Great build! That top is stunning! I'm guessing you're just like me and too impatient and have to finish assembling and play the guitar before polishing it. If you want a couple tips on polishing, I just found out about eagle abrasives super bufflex and super assilex total dry sandpaper. I follow that with menzerna 400 on the red menzerna pad meant to go in a cordless drill. Before I was using cheap 3M and turtlewax products and was always disappointed in my polish. It's cool to see someone else making videos for the love of building a guitar that isn't a big youtube channel focused on views. If you don't mind me asking, what video editing software do you use and would you recommend it? I just finished my first scratch build and want to post it but have zero inclination to start editing the long full build video.
@Studtguitars9 күн бұрын
Thanks for the tip on the polishing. You’re correct I have been busy and it’s cool to just get to see it done and play it. As far as editing I use CapCut on my phone because I can edit anywhere. It’s super simple to use. I appreciate you reaching out and talking build. Keep in touch and send me a link when you’re done with yours!

@Studtguitars3 ай бұрын
Thanks I appreciate that. Yeah I thought about gold frets. You have me rethinking that
@seanmurphy263 ай бұрын
@@Studtguitars Dude! EVO Gold is almost as strong as stainless steel! Supposedly, you'll never have to change those frets again, just like stainless, except just a little bit easier on your tools. I have heard that as good as they look, they actually FEEL even better.. I'm currently getting my Strat refretted with them. Apparently you cannot get EVO Gold in America anymore because of the resource shortages, I had to order them from Canada. Because of these shortages, Stewmac has these really awesome looking frets that are a new gold alloy, you might want to check out, I ordered them by mistake, but they looked so damn good that my luthier had to keep them..! they actually looked better than the Jescar EVO Gold, that I had to order from Solo in Canada, but I just wanted to go with something that is tried and true, instead of the new alloy.. but I would definitely go with Gold, hope you post the finished product..

Some of the most important building/finishing lessons I've ever learned are how to fix or work around a snafu. Anytime you try something different (product, design, materials) there's always a chance that something won't behave or turn out as you expected (even the wood can decide to go south on you). Carry on; we're rooting for you!
