When I saw you put troops there I was like "He's dead" and then.... well never underestimate overconfident players

You pulled off blues cap because you wanted him to hit pink and trade with you, but you moved your big attack stack to still be in position to hit blue once he traded with you. That’s why he pulled back to cap instead of leaving the cap low to deal with pink first. If you had just next minimal guards in orient he would have kept trading with you and left his cap weak with his big army in forward attack on pink. You gotta think about what troops of yours your opponents see and how that may make them react. You had the right thought, just made it confusing for blue, which confused you because you didn’t realize the threat stack was still very threatening.
