A great discussion on strategies parents could use to fight the educracy, and their limitations, but one of the weapons not discussed is school choice, which can engender the kind of competition and diversity in approaches to education that would address parents' needs. That means advocacy for Republican candidates in elections from local to federal, WITHOUT APOLOGIES. Without apologies. At some point, we have to cast off the "non-partisan" and "politically homeless" apologies if we want to be effective, or else we enter this fight with our hands tied behind our backs.

The most important takeaway from this is a point repeated by all in different ways. It is that this is a legitimately complex issue but whatever is said must meet the test of the common sense that is the reason why the vast majority reject gender ideology. Otherwise people might be sold a twisted version of common sense. This will require smart people who can ground complex language in simple humane truths. That's hard. Lawyers can do that, and, they can undermine that. Can't live with lawyers nor without them, Shakespeare notwithstanding. For example: You can't merely assert the common sense that in spaces where everyone agrees there should be sex segregation that it should be based on biological sex. You have to explain why it's not mean or intolerant to exclude men who self-identify as women. It's not because men are threatening or dangerous. Most men are not. Many women can be. Nancy Mace has already fallen into this trap. It's really as simple as that the majority wants girls and boys to be segregated in certain spaces in life and there needs to be a rule even if it's a little arbitrary, and, biology appears to be the best rule to the majority of humans since the Garden, and, this is a democracy. There's no need for a personality test. Males have equal opportunity to use the same sort of spaces assigned to boys or to use single-person all-gender or family spaces. Males who say they are females are not per the majority. That's it. This is also why a legislated definition of sex for the purposes of laws authorizing sex segregation is better than a judicial interpretation or a Presidential order. Get smart, folks. There's a long row to hoe here.

There needs to be a hearings all over the country confronting laws systems, school boards that implemented gender trainings and policies and activities under a cloak of secrecy. Some kind of accountability and reckoning. It is unacceptable that the schools took secret action to indoctrinate children in controversial and non-agreed upon content. The secrecy against parents is wrong .

I used to work at burger king in Maumee (Toledo), Ohio. On a few occasions, I asked the teenagers i worked with if any of this crap happens at their schools and I was so pleased to hear the only thing they said they do is make them respect and not bully the LGBTQ students, or anyone from that matter and not all the extra secretive stuff. You need parental consent for a child to transition here believe it or.not. Move here were not no where near that woke 😂

I wish they would teach these kids actual biology too. It's not just about whether or not you want children (which you just don't know at 14) but disrupting tour body's natural systems is going to have lifelong negative results. Sex organs are just for sex. They're organs.

It's coming from all quarters. The teacher training colleges tell teachers this is conventional practice, you need to pretend to agree to get a teaching certificate. The NGOs, funded by state and federal grants that create "league tables" to incentivise ever escalating measures by the school boards. Once this is an adopted school policy it becomes a condition of employment that staff comply.
@AndyJarman

Organisations make Wokeism adopted policy, and employees are required to comply with policy as a condition of employment. So obviously, if you point out the organisation is in contravention of legislation you are threatening the ideologies. If the ideologies are in HR they will advise the CEO that you are in contravention of your contract of employment. From that moment on the HR department is out to get you. Any little indiscretion will be amplified until you are smeared to such an extent that management tires of defending you I know this, from first hand experience.

Right! The audacity. Attacks on free speech, lying and misleading parents away from being informed, silencing them in board meetings, threatening to call CPS, etc… They need to be forced out of the pretense of collaboration with parents. It is ridiculous that their manuvers are clear bold and known and yet they aren’t being brought to task publicly. They are banking on the burden on working parents to look the other way. The fact that these institutions skew allegedly liberal is not a compliment to the left. It is a glaring red flag of the lies and deception coming from that side.

I am very concerned as my grand daughter thinks she is a boy. And four of her friends are also victims. My daughter is actually afraid of my grand daughter. So are the parents of my grand daughters friends, It is really a terrible threat. I want to fight it.

I used to watch documentaries on female genital mutilation and wonder "how could a culture agree to do this to their children?" But here we are. I'm amazed by how dismissive people are of this issue. What's happening to the children is evil but the other thing that we always dance around is that vulnerable adults with other mental illnesses are also being exploited. It's insane.

Why is this happening in our schools? I did hear your story about your 13 year old- and it sounds like you have a good relationship with her and that she was just trying to find herself and fit in and unfortunately was being advised by the wrong types of people at school/ friends. But I think there are many children out there where their parents don’t guide them/ don’t teach them values at home. They send their kids to public school because it is free daycare for them; they are so overworked and over stressed, some are also over addicted and over sexed to care for their children. Values start at home. We have lost values in America. Too much freedom is not a good thing. Who thought up these guidelines? What states are doing this right now?

The illness identity is the biggest challenge i have had providing therapy to kids and teens over the past 10 years. That and self diagnosis as well as so much wrong info ppl get online. I often have to spend the first few sessions just correcting bad info ppl got from tik tok or youtube. Also parents are afraid as many clincians to share their beliefs with providers on gender stuff. I had a mom meet with me and with such trepidation share beliefs on sex and gender that most ppl hold. When i shared my beliefs about it with her and my approach to treating it my phone has not stopped ringing. She told every parent she knows and they told their friends. Its not even that all of them jave children with gender issues. They just have kids who need help but dont want them in a room alone with anyone who believes the current gender nonsense

Lack of parental notice and/or lack of parental consent should be a huge red flag we are dealing with sexual predators. It does not matter if they are wearing a physician's lab coat or a principal's professional attire. It does not matter how many degrees or how much education they have. They are sexual predators in clever disguise. We all need to figure out what we can each do in order to end this epidemic of child abuse. If we do nothing to protect children, that will definitely be on us.

Gender or sex 'assigned at birth' has a valid meaning that has been hijacked by trans activists. It was originally coined to explain why an intersex person's birth certificate doesn't match their biological sex. i.e. because their sex was misdiagnosed by the doctor delivering them.

Parents have a moral obligation to protect and guide their children against things like broadcast television, advertising, social media, Popular Culture, and Internet access to certain websites. That Popular Culture includes trends like that spoke of in this video. If there is no viable market deliberately targeting children, then it simply will not be successful. This is Logic 101.

"negative emotions are not a disease" In the last 10 years I've noticed a massive increase in teenagers who say that anxiety and depression are an issue. They are talking about being nervous and sad. They really think normal human emotions are a sign that something is wrong with them. And they're encouraged to ruminate by schools.
@tonyhoffman3309
@tonyhoffman3309 Күн бұрын
Objectively there are many real life reasons why they are experiencing higher rates of anxiousness and sadness. Gen X saw it too. They weren't sick, they were aware.
@robertmarshall2502
@robertmarshall2502 Күн бұрын
@tonyhoffman3309 No. Not objectively at all. I live in Spain, it has the second most mass graves after Cambodia. Their grandparents and great grandparents lived through far far harder times. By every objective measure going. Ppl clearly aren't aware of how we're in the easiest period of human History that has ever existed. Subjectively they're all suffering incredible pain but objectively they aren't. They are just ruminating on identity and how they feel. Then opting out of every part of life that makes ppl feel better from relationships to work. They've been told normal human experience is a major issue. Puberty needs medicating or even preventing. Meanwhile outside of the developed world these mental health issues are near unheard of. Young people in Rwanda can cope but in the Anglosphere they fall to pieces with the meerest confrontation of their false ideals. What exactly are your objective reasons for everyone feeling anxious?

I think it's the algorithm that's doing it-maximizing clickiness 24/7/365-and the isolation of generations online. Kids have said stupid things before, but they couldn't grow for years out of sight without some adult overhearing it and going, "Uh nope, sorry. Not the case." What's lacking almost completely online is cross-generational mentorship, and the engagement algorithms are a nightmare.

Regarding Bev Jackson's talk at Lisbon, I have to take issue with the accomplished musician, activist and autodidact Bob Ostertag's characterization of the gay rights movement. This is not intended as criticism of Ms. Jackson or her work in any way. In the quotation from his book "Science, Sex, Self" that appears at 1:09 in the video of Ms. Jackson's presentation, Mr. Ostertag writes: "By the beginning of the 1960s, one of the principal rights demanded by queer activists was the right to be left alone by doctors." I am not familiar with Mr. Ostertag and his gay activism, if any. I do not even know whether he calls himself gay. If he is a sex realist, more power to him. Where he and I part ways is his in-your-face and anachronistic use of the polarizing term "queer." While the bisexual radical Paul Goodman is credited with sparking the movement to transform the insult into a badge of pride, "The Politics of Being Queer" was not published until 1969, much too late to have influenced the gay rights activists of the early 60s. Moreover, Mr. Goodman's fringy personal politics and the ideas he espoused would be more likely to repel than to appeal to most gay men, then and now: "In 'The Politics of Being Queer', Goodman credits his bisexuality as undergirding his anarchism, pacifism, and utopianism. He contends that promiscuity breaks social class boundaries and that rigidly exclusive attraction, whether heterosexual or homosexual, is pathological." "He described his relationships with young boys as being neither exploitative or pathological, despite public opinion, and that same-sex sexuality was a healthy prelude to friendship and student-mentor relationships." [1] The civil rights organization that was formed in response to the Stonewall Riots wasn't named the "Queer Liberation Front." The founders chose instead "Gay Liberation Front" because it reflected who they and their constituents were. For that matter, objective historians refer to the growing demands for equality and an end to second-class status as the "Gay Rights Movement," not the "Queer Movement." [2] From the gay point of view, "queer" is problematic for a number of reasons. Mr. Ostertag's use of the term here highlights its expansionist and dominant qualities in the cultural and social sphere. By calling early activists "queer," Mr. Ostertag is erasing gay men from history. It has the same effect when straight people in the mainstream media bandy "queer" about to show they're with-it without realizing they're leaving lesbians, bisexuals and gay men unacknowledged. Mr. Ostertag can't claim the ignorance most straight people lack about the complicated and sometimes fraught culture and politics within, between and among sexual minorities (the LGBs), gender minorities (the T and T-adjacent) and the queers. He should know that "queer" is neither a sexual orientation nor a gender identity. It most certainly is not innate. At its most trivial, queer is a pose, an attitude and yet another annoying urban scene. At its worst, queer is doctrinaire and political, a set of learned attitudes and beliefs rooted in nihilist post-War philosophy that got a working over from trickster philosophers such as the reality denying Judith Butler beginning in the 90s and persisting to the present. Queer is no country for old gay men like me or gay men of any other age. [1] Wikipedia, the Free Encyclopedia. "The Politics of Being Queer." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Politics_of_Being_Queer [2] PBS. The American Experience.
