I was approached by a binary mother to teach her binary minor child, learn a foreign language. Am I supposed to change the pronouns and grammar of the language? I won't accept it. Science doesn't change. Period. This is a very dangerous wave. Wow! This is an eye opener. My teen granddaughter emigrated to Sydney from our very simple, average South African community. She had heard of but never been exposed to these ideologies. Within months of arriving, she was forced by some of her peer group to express her “identity, flag, color, gender”, etc. She kept saying: “I just want to be me.” But they pressured her so much that she had to leave that school. Why are they making it so difficult for kids to just be kids?

When the Democratic-Republican party formed in 1800 there were newspapers that blatantly promoted them (specifically Thomas Jefferson's presidential campaign), and other newspapers were openly pro-Federalist party. Same with the Republican vs Democratic parties later in the 19th Century and into the 20th. It was in the last half of the 20th Century when TV news and many large newspapers promoted themselves as unbiased, objective or "independent", but that was merely a marketing trend to cater to a public who responded positively to those kinds of terms. But the general bias was always there under the new buzzwords. More important change in journalism came because Woodward & Bernstein brought down a US President who had just been re-elected in a massive landslide, in less than 2 years. Radical leftists then flocked into journalism as a means to bring about their long desired revolution -- using it as a propaganda dispenser to the public. News companies having rebranded themselves as unbiased and objective around that time was a fortuitous and convenient cloak for the revolutionaries. The radicals just needed to be subtle and indirect in their undermining of the pillars of society. Editors who were liberal and "open-minded", but not themselves radicals, would suggest revisions to water down radicals' articles that went too far, rather than fire the radicals. Also, radicals weren't all on the same script as each other. So it took longer than centrally planned and orchestrated revolutions in Russia, China, Cuba, etc, had taken.

I also believe that there is a clear class factor involved - an elite who have become increasingly frustrated with not always being right in a complex world, and a religious factor - blind belief and certainty will lead to salvation, a Manichaen vision of we, the good, the saved, and others who are the evil, the damned.
