American bombays tend to look smoother, have a much sleeker frame and dense copper eyes, british tend to be stockier and shorter legged. Also have a yellowish green eye color. They look totally different

I prefer the Russian Blue Male Cat With Green Eyes they are difficult to find or adopt. I used to have one. I live in Quebec City. I raised him as a 6 month old kitten way back in October 2008. We had to put him to sleep at the vet last June 2023 due to a tumour in his leg turned out to be an early sign of cancer. We adopted a black female feline last August 2023 to replace him as compensation correspondence. She is very cuddly. We named her 🍒 🌸.

Thank you! I have been doing a lot of research on my cat. I knew he had to be a bombay. He has black paws, nose, and nails. Shiny black coat, and he hardly sheds. But his eyes are green. And every website I read, they said bombay has copper eyes. So I was just confused. But now I know my cat is a British bombay. He is not the most athletic he doesn't jump very high compared to my other cat, but he is one heck of a hunter. Awesome! Thank you!

For me the big difference in telling them apart is that British Bombay cats look like miniature panthers, and they are not lanky, while a ordinary (but we all know that no cat is ordinary...they are all special!) black cat is lanky and does not look like a miniature panther.

This information is so false it's not even funny! Please do not go by this video. It is the Ragdoll that lives longer, has few if any health predispositions and lacks an undercoating! Because of this they shed little , do not need to be brushed hardly ever as they do not tangle and their fur feels like an angora bunny's fur! Also they are rarely bicolor and mostly color points.

You can easily tell them apart by their ears. Maine Coons have a tuft of fur at the top of their ears, giving them a pointy shape. Norwegian Forest Cats don't have this, their ears have a rounded shape.
