Stingray skin creates a very durable and extremely smooth, ceramic-like surface. Hard to beat. As far as increasing the width of the bow handle at the arrow pass, all of my ray skin varies by 1 to 1.5 mm in thickness. Excellent long lasting material. I easily have over 4,500 arrows past mine, and it appears like it could easily last more than another 4,500 arrows.
@ambidextrousarchery16 күн бұрын
@@markroberts6971 I agree. I’ve been replacing any worn arrow passes with ray skin without worry. The arrow pass on the Jotoman is layered into the covering, making it flush with the limb and handle for zero difference in thickness-a thoughtful bow-making decision. Thanks for watching and commenting, Mark! 🙇🏻🙂😎👍🏹

It's funny to hear you talking about spine like that. I'm shooting some fiberglass bows and finding the 500s don't fly worth a dam, but 600s are awesome. 40# ambi, 30# centershot. Seems like in the cheap arrows spine is measured differently than the charts produced by Easton etc. And unfortunately I can't afford Easton arrows!
@ambidextrousarcheryАй бұрын
@@darrinrebagliati5365 The most consistently reliable, affordable, and available arrows I’ve found so far are Linkboys, but I have matched other affordable ones with different bows. I’ve seen and tried various charts. With some bows, I like shooting lighter-weight and weaker-spined arrows, especially for the increased velocity. The bow has to be able to handle that GPP, though. For other bows, I like the impact power of a heavier spine. Discovering the best balance between speed and impact while considering bow durability has really been a trial-and-error learning process for me. Thank you for watching and commenting! 😎👍🏹

Hi. Is any different between model ET-4C and ET4 ? Thanks for your interesting video.
@ambidextrousarcheryАй бұрын
@@anhhoangvideo You’re most welcome. Yes, there is a significant difference. The ET-4 is a nano-resin bow meant for low poundage. It is typically sold at 18# 28” with a max of around 25#. The ET-4C has carbon fiber layers and fiberglass material and is much stiffer and more resilient. It is a superior bow. The ET-4C can handle draw weight up to 50#, although I am unsure how it would perform at 50#. Best wishes🙂

People report issues with this bow. Mine, however, is just fine!
@ambidextrousarcheryАй бұрын
@@ianbruce6515 Following modifications, mine is excellent as well. Early on, a few purchasers received bows whose limbs did not match the requested draw weight, leading to misaligned tillering. A friend recently observed that the string can also wear over time, where the loop impacts the siyah upon release. Wear on the string occurred with the ET-4, so I’m not surprised this could happen with the ET-4C. Thank you for watching and commenting! 🙂

It's still a LOT of money for just a Glass fiber bow the carbon portion is only on the last 3rd of the limbs which don't perform any duties also there is still trouble with the limbs which is causing a few problems producing it considering it came up for sale preorder last november december 2023.
@ambidextrousarcheryАй бұрын
@@hippy9835 I noticed the price has risen $30 since it first went on sale in November. The sturdiness of the limbs has improved noticeably from the ET-4, and the bow performs well following modifications. Longevity? That is still to be determined. @@ambidextrousarchery That would be great because I still see uneven tillers when drawn on the 45 lb limbs. Thank you for another inspiring video, and I absolutely agree (accept I don't have any grip issues). My Jotoman has a natural cork surface in birchbark design with red tips. (If I order another one, I'll go for the pretty butterfly pattern - I'm sure it is good against "toxic masculinity"). I just wrote to Ronald from Bamboo Archery: The Jotoman is extremely well made. I particularly like the cork surface. (If I order another one, I'll go for the pretty butterfly pattern - I'm sure it is good against "toxic masculinity"). And I really like the sleeve, it matches the high quality of the bow. Up to my regular draw of 30 inches, it is as smooth as butter and light enough for a fluid khatra. I gave the string an additional wrapping to fit my linkboy arrows/nocks (highly recommended). I am very pleased with this bow concerning draw feel, arrow speed, vibration & handshock (down to 7 gpp) and think it is in no way inferior to a laminated one. A great bow, the perfect union of Turkish and Korean bow design! I am looking forward to your upcoming videos, especially your opinion of the NIK'A, because I bought one and it it was completey different from what I expected. I would love to see you shooting the bows from the side because of the shape and how they bend. And I would love to see more about your school archery project (call it industrial espionage).
