I'm learning' NOT to wear loose fitting jeans with sagging in the crotch area doing this so I recently invested in some biking pants/tights. I was screwed by a buyer because of Ali Express Sh&t customer service that sided with a seller even though all the proof was sent to them that the seller canceled my 200$ order the day before the last day for guaranteed shipping. And yes the payment had already cleared. The seller wouldn't answer me and it was a 2 week nightmare after starting their ridiculous refund process for something that was never shipped. Temu (Im not an affiliate or a seller on their multi-seller platform just like AE btw) has amazing customer service. They have Never said no to a return/refund in almost the 3 or 4 yrs I have been using them. Yes, they both have false marketing promos for the most part. Be careful not to assume all of them are fake. Sometimes they will send you a gift without having to purchase more items. And yes many times things are cheaply made. But seriously if the cheapest one doesn't work then do a refund/return and get a different one. Being realistic with yourself is #1 with any purchase from any type of discount store. Temu hands down. PS. Be smart. If I know any item will probably only last half the time of a name brand, but the price of 2 cheapies is still half the price of a brand name, then in the big scheme of things I'm the one saving money. (yes those story math problems were worth learning as a kid, lol) Safe Shopping Everyone

I just bought two Aipas F3 adventure bikes. The description on the web page says 1500 watt motor with 100nm of torque. The numbers on the hub motor is "CZJB110SZ 48V" Is this marketing BS? Haven't had time to even ride it yet. Just subscribed today. I like the way you explain things.
@Funcentric
@Funcentric 7 күн бұрын
@@f150bft no I don’t think so. That is a good amount of torque if it is correct. 48 V is a good standard for USA consumers for an E bike nowadays. 36 bolts would have been way too small for hills. Either way, you will still need to pedal. which is fine since it is not a motorcycle. The motor spec is likely, the peak meaning the motor itself is likely not rated that high and wattage, but once combined with amps and bolts, the motor can likely reach that level of 1000 W. A lot of the times companies will show the peak wattage as opposed to the actual wattage of the motor itself.these days, many motors on the bikes in the USA are rated at 750 W which is the maximum legal limit.

Car insurance is $100-$200 per month. Replacing a car (or second car) pays for an ebike within one year! What is the point of financing a bike? The loan offsets your extra money in the bank. Loan payments then lower your savings, and you end up behind.
@Funcentric

A vast majority of people aren't using bicycles to replace cars. They own the car anyway and buy a bike in addition. So the insurance costs aren't changing by getting a bike.

I find it very strange that you have made a few videos that have done absolutely nothing but down Lectric, their design, their working ability but not own one or even test drove one. I have a 3.0 and have not driven a bike for over 20 years and had absolutely no issues driving the bike. I love the bike and when I was diagnosted with a disability that eliminated the bike (according to the doctor). I refused to give it up and am progressing very nicely with the 3.0 and my wife loves her trike as she has a balancing issue. I believe there are eBikes that fit each person as does cars, trucks built by several different companies. I do appreciate your opinion; however, you have a like for the units you own and have the right to your opinion on your style of bike while others continue to enjoy Lectric. I can say that Lectric has bent over backwards to keep their customers pleased with their bikes; however, this cannot be the claim for many other companies. Once you own the bike from some other companies they no longer wish to deal with issues and many will not service many of the foreign country ebikes. Thanks fore sharing your opinion.

@@glong2720 Since the release of this video, I did get a Lectric XPedition. I was willing to take the risks. I was okay with sub par quality since it is a budget bike. Can’t expect the most out of these. They’re definitely not up to the quality of Aventon by a long stretch but the features are there and the customer service as you said is superb. As a direct to consumer brand, they have to and they’re doing it well. I’m not bashing the company. I just don’t want consumers getting misled and forgetting the category of bike they are buying and to have reasonable expectations. The problem is that new consumers are hearing mostly from either first time consumers of e-bikes who have nothing else to compare or from people who do have experience with multiple bikes but their underlying agenda is to sell them a bike. E-bikes get too glorified. People need to know the hard truth whether they end up wanting to hear it or not. That way if they go through with it and do end up liking it just fine, then more power to them. They’ll understand the context in which they bought a product.

I appreciate your opinion with this bike but I am just a bit surprised.

@@glong2720 budget bikes are generally direct to consumer. So 99% of buyers don’t have a chance to test ride. As a budget bike, I was willing to take the risk particularly from a company with a reputation for excellent customer service. The topics I bring up in this video are more warnings than complaints. Complaints would be in the review of this bike which is a different video all together. I’m not regretting getting a cargo bike one bit. The video is just to point out to OTHER people why THEY probably shouldn’t get one for themselves. I have a very different tolerance level than most consumers. I feel this way about rc cars too. The use of these things are so glorified. No one talks about the actual ownership which may be a bigger pain for people than they anticipate. It’s more often stored than used.

Great video and thanks for sharing. I own an Lectric 3.0 and my wife has the Lectric trike. I purchased a front and rear light for the bikes and discovered the hard way that I will never use a rubber holding device ever again. The first time I put the rear lighhts on that held the rear lights the rubber part broke and so I am now stuck with 2 rear lights that are useless, but I didn't buy them for the rear lights I bought them for the bright front lights which came with better attachments. My friend had cancer and he was not to ride a bike for over a few months. Are the cloud-9 really better than the standard seat that comes with the lectric bikes??? I recently bought better rear lights with signals, alarm & signals. Because the rear basket has flat pipes in the middle I feel I will be able to drill small holes in the basket and mount the new light directly to the basket. Any suggestions for the front and rear baskets as far as mounting other utensils?? Again many thanks for sharing information.

@@StevenLawrenceHeston You’re right. I got those mixed up. I meant HSD as the smaller one. Basically you don’t need a GSD is what I’m saying. Whether you go with Globe Haul or their smaller ones, GSD is overkill for what your needs are. If you use it exclusively for grocery shopping then something that’ll easily carry panniers is what you want. I just find it hard to justify a $3k bike to “save” a few bucks. The question isn’t really what is the best bike. It’s what is the best bike for you. I don’t really know much about you so I hesitate to just give you a generic recommendation. I put together a few videos about how to select an ebike or whether an ebike is really something you’d really want in the first place. You’ll need to consider how handy you are in working on bikes, how much you’d even want to do it at all, how you feel about replacing tubes, how athletic you are, where to store, how often you ride, how long you plan to keep it, how you see your situation changing in the next few years etc. There are a lot of factors in selecting the right bike. Also a budget shouldn’t be a generic number. There needs to be some reasonability behind it based on what’s available out there and your financial situation. Too many people just arbitrarily say they don’t want to spend more than X without knowing the context. There’s a big difference between a $800 bike and a $1,200 bike. Less difference between a $3k and $4K bike for instance.
