@@pvswitzer Sorry it seemed too harsh, I wanted to be honest with my thoughts and not “promote” it just because everyone says to go there 🤷♀️ I had higher expectations with everyone’s great reviews - yes it was pretty in *certain places but rusting away in others. Hmm, hope your stolen pineapple was good 🫣

You was thinking like I did growing up in Waco I always called the court house the mini White House like in DC because it looked like the White House to me and the old county jail is attached to the back of it then they built a new one out on the old 77 but Clyde Borrow was held in the city jail downtown close to the courthouse in which is the city hall that set in the middle of the town close to the old suspicionBridge you was on the first cattle crossing tow bridge. Did you know Dr Pepper was first made in Waco the plant is still in Waco will the update one is outside of Waco close to the compound where David caress stand off was with the ATF and the FBI in the 90s in which I was in East Texas then but I was raised in Waco in the 70s and 80s I came back in 2011 because it my hometown been here every since. When I leave I’ll be heading to heaven😊Clyde Borrow broke out of jail with the help of Bonnie you the Texas famous outlaw from the Great Depression in the 30s

Let's see... in 1951, a tornado swept thru downtown and wiped out several buildings, while leaving a few others standing feet away in start contrast. In either 1901 or 1905, the Baylor University President (supposedly a Christian fellow) gun-dueled and killed the Waco Mayor. And Waco natives are quick to point out that Vernon Howell/David Koresh and his Mt Carmel compound is miles and miles away from town.

Great video!! I am a bit disappointed in leaving The Texas Ranger Hall of Fame off the list. I get that it isn't everyones cup of tea, but it is a great place for history buffs. For groups, it is a great place for the guys so that the ladies can shop at the Silos in peace.

Park if you can at one of the First Baptist Church parking lots on Webster or Clay right by the Market. Parking fee goes to the church for kids camps, missions, etc. and they pay their lot attendants very well. In exchange, you get safe off street parking close enough to make a quick trip back to the car to drop packages, leave your sweater because it's hot, pick up your coat because it's cold, etc.

If you respect Hawaii at all, DO NOT go here. Sanford Ballard Dole, the founder, is the main guy who overthrew the Hawaiian government and essentially stole Hawaii in 1893. It's not unusual to see satirical bumper stickers that say "Stole", instead of Dole (in the style of the Dole logo).

Both my wife and I love the whole Big Bear area. My wife has commented many times she'd love to live there if only the whole area was somehow scooped up and transplanted to another state, not California. I agree 100%.

Mountain coasters are so much fun! Also, I know what you mean about going to some mountain resort areas when it is in between seasons. It can be a very weird vibe. Last time I went to Denver, I decided to drive to Vail one weekday because it was unusually warm for the beginning of November. But there wasn't much going on because they were working on converting everything over to ski season. But at least I found a bike and ski shop that still had some rental bikes available.

So you definitely experienced the in-between seasons too in Vail! It's still pretty to see, but like you said, when they're converting everything from one season to the other... definitely lacks some fun! Lol ikr! Van life would be efficient! I will say I'm very careful with traveling on a budget, including those hotel rentals (and some car camping) so that does help drop my costs.

@@platonique Robinson is a neighboring community -- part of the Greater Waco Area. So the title still fits. The last oldest brewery to exist here was also not IN WACO PROPER. Plus I have to deal with Waco city for much of my ability to exist. Oh. And my Zip code isn't changing either. I don't know how governments define boundaries.
