Hey My Friend I just got home from my Trip in Alaska. Thank you for your video I was able to go to just about every one of those places. At Kincad park I was actually able to see a Moose. I hiked all the way up Flat Top Mountain. Earthquake park was just crazy that a whole neighborhood is buried there. At Potters Marsh I was able to video an Eagle in Flight. I did get some Samovar Tea at Kobuk and yes it was soooo good and got a Fireweed Donut. And Definitely got a Burger at Whitespot cafe. I let them know I found their place from your video. Once again Thank you for your video it made my trip fun finding these places and making a memory.

Bring your rain gear because MOST DAYS it RAINS everyday. It rains from mid May, when it stops snowing, to mid Oct when it starts snowing again. 2nd, buy Counter Assault Bear Spray (REI). Counter Assault sprays the furthest and the strongest bursts. There are grizzlies within the city limit as well as thousands of black bears. I have encountered grizzlies on Campbell Airstrip Trail, all over the area of the Chugach range, Bicentennial Park Far North (brown and black bears,especially near Campbell Creek) and a lot of black bears and Moose on Tony Knowles Coastal Trail. Looks like you had a nice trip!

How did you get around?? Rented a car?? Uber?? Taxi??
@HeyChannelDani7 ай бұрын
Walking and bus the first day and then renting a car. Renting a car when we went was nearly impossible, and a bit pricey, so that's why we walked the first day.
@isamariemonreal76927 ай бұрын
@@HeyChannelDani What are the places you walked to? I only have one day to visit Anchorage, so I don’t think we’ll be able to rent a car. Can you walk to the park where you can see the airplanes taking off?
@HeyChannelDani7 ай бұрын
@@isamariemonreal7692 Anchorage is not the most walkable, honestly downtown “tourist” area is the most walkable. Plenty of food options here though! You can do the trolley too, which is great! You can make it to the salmon creek too and watch the fisherman and the huge salmon. but that’s all I can say from my experience. And no, you won’t be able to see the planes take off without a car, it’s pretty isolated from the rest of it. I hope this helps! 🙂
@Daviddaze5 ай бұрын
@isamariemonreal7692 the bluff plane watch spot is eight miles from downtown. There's the Knowles bike bath to get there. There's a lake next to arpt park spot w/ float plane Cessnas in summer. Bus system called people mover from 6am to 1030pm only.

Packing is a hard decision! Layers layers layers is what I've heard is best and so that's what we packed and it worked well. We wore jackets in August. Also, if you "forget" jackets, it's always a good reason to buy some "souvenir" jackets/hat/gloves/other warm items! I wish you safe and fun travels!!!!

I really loved Alaska! It was a whole new world basically. The outdoors and nature determines everything about how people live there, rather than people living an determining the road systems and stuff. I’d highly recommend going if you get the opportunity, you won’t be disappointed! But… don’t expect to always see tons of wildlife, I only saw a few elk while there, oh and salmon!

You hit most of the cliche tourist stops...but Anchorage...'Los Anchorage' to locals, is actually a run-down meth den in many places. Soaking the tourists for every last cent is their main industry. Locals living in other parts if the state avoid it if at all possible.
@HeyChannelDani Жыл бұрын
I'd say youre right about Anchorage being the "tourist-y" location but aren't you glad it is though! That's the beauty of Alaska is that most of it is untouched wilderness. Plus is someone is a tourist without knowledge about the "strength of Alaska" it can be dangerous in those wild parts of nature. Thanks for you comment!
@gorillahd9247 Жыл бұрын
Good video but the best thing to do in Anchorage is get out of Anchorage and go pretty much anywhere else in Alaska. Anchorage has the highest crime rate in the state and the people there are most likely to be anti-gun types.
@MENSA.lady2 Жыл бұрын
A tip for 1st time visitors. To help stop money laundering there are no Bureau de Change facilities anywhere in AK. Either take enough cash for your visit or find a friend with a local bank account, otherwise you cannot exchange currencies.
