I really appreciate how voice lines are timed in this scenario. Like, in 6:10 you were wondering what happened to Aristides and he has a voice-line ten seconds later. Kudos to the devs! :^)

To block the Persian advance, a small force of Greeks blocked the pass of Thermopylae, while an Athenian-dominated allied navy engaged the Persian fleet in the nearby straits of Artemisium. In the resulting Battle of Thermopylae, the rearguard of the Greek force was annihilated, while in the Battle of Artemisium, the Greeks suffered heavy losses and retreated after the loss at Thermopylae This allowed the Persians to conquer Phocis, Boeotia, Attica, and Euboea. The allies prepared to defend the Isthmus of Corinth while the fleet was withdrawn to nearby Salamis Island.

Did they remove the master plan from the final release? I don't remember being able to get it Btw, I think these upgrades are too much, it would be cool for the campaign to show off the civ's naturally good navy, maybe with some bonuses depending on side objectives

There was no land battle during battle of Salamis (Salamina in modern greek). There was only a massive naval battle , and i encourage everyone to look it up on wikipedia for historic accuracy.

Does anyone know why I didn't get the achievement for the following two missions? The one with the relic.

It's pretty buggy. I think you have to make sure you give the relic to the correct person on consecutive attempts

@@OrnLu_AoE I did. Then played them again from the start choosing the different option and it failed again. :/ Maybe it's that save option that keeps popping up?

Still a bit behind, but getting there with this new DLC, but I was wondering. Does the player need have the heroes with their armies during those scenarios where you are able to build bases for the units to benefit from the heroes' special combat benefits that they get in these scenarios or can you leave the heroes safely at the base to defend the base with a small force and have a larger force to do the objectives and still get access to the benefits without heroes with this larger force?

themistocles aura bonus only works in a certain radius, as soon the triremes left this radius they are unaffected. Since the hero ships respawn there is no downside to using them

I take it the same applies to the aura's of the heroes on horseback, which is what I really want to know, as I thought you get access to abilities that affect units once the aura is activated by the Oracle' that you choose at the temple and that you need the heroes on horseback with those units at all times?

​@@gerriejordaan8385your units needs their hero close to them if they want to benefit from the aura. As soon as the units or the hero are too far apart, they lose the bonus.

I've been doing the achievements on stream. When I played through the campaign the first time, the achievements weren't in the game yet (because I had early access)

Probably not, but the K/D is unironically very close. If the historical records are accurate, the greeks stomped an about 2-4 times bigger persian fleet with a rate of 1:6-7 ships lost. If those buff ment to simulate that, then, yes, accurate.

@Bayernkripostar mir kommt es seid Entdecker und Eroberer also dem vorletzten dlc so vor Zumindest kam mir der Perser Teil leichter vor wie das mit den Athenern Kann aber auch an der Story liegen bin eh ne Menschen der mit Fernkämpfer besser zurecht kommt wie mit Infanterie.

​@@tobiasm5579er hat die Missionen gespielt bevor das DLC offiziell rauskam, vllt haben die da noch was geändert. Aber du kannst davon ausgehen das sie nur Dialoge in den Sprachen anpassen und nichts am gameplay
