Jo! Discovered your channel a while ago and love watching your DJI camera reviews/vlogs etc. Found this vlog, and loved watching it as well. What were your settings like for the city vs wooded area? Shooting in standard 8/10bit? Great VLOG, made me excited to get going with my Action 5 and might even get the mic 2 for our upcoming trips.

for the wooded area these were the settings: HIGH BIT RATE 24FPS EXPOSURE AUTO RANGE -0.0 EV, 100-1600 ISO AUTO WHITE BALANCE DLOG M AND ADDED REC 709 LUT TEXTURE -2, NOISE REDUCTION -2 for just regular shooting I keep it the same except for this part: EXPOSURE AUTO RANGE -0.3 EV, 100-800 ISO Hope that helps!

@ agreed, pocket 3 is good, but not as robust as the action 5, I’ll spring for one, would like to see the action 5 with wide screen lens and motorized gimbal performs.

Video looks good outdoors but falls apart when indoors, especially when walking. So many artifacts in low light.

Thanks buddy! Yes I color graded. However what ai did is incredibly simple. I just shot in DLOGM and then added the Rec 709 LUT that you can download from DJI. Not much after that.

Happy New Year Jo. Thanks for the shout out :) The still of you was taken with... a DJI Action Pro 5 on a Peak Design camera clip. I was doing a home video on the pizza place while i was on holiday in NY. I thought you walked by me but only when reviewing my footage did i see you were actually sitting behind me! I would recommend the DJI Action Pro 5 for videos when travelling (thanks Jo for the video that tipped me over the edge into buying one back then!). I am a converted gopro user, and wish i made the change sooner. The batteries last forever. If you are looking for easy b roll, id recommend the Peak Design Camera clip on to one of your bag straps.

Do you use auto settings at all? *I contacted dji, and they sent me out a new door. The door "issue" wasn't really a problem for me, and I kind of preferred it that way. But since it was free, I figured why not*

i finally ordered the action 5 pro from watching your videos..i was not going to because i use the osmo pocket 3 BUT the fragileness and non water proof kind of changed my mind. i have to say not a fan of the low light micro shakes it has.

Jackie's hilarious. Btw I noticed the shaky footage at the start in the low light parts. What's the reason for that? I know with GoPro when you go into really low light it results in that shaky effect.

@@SaiaFT honestly I don’t know for sure. However, I think there is a bit of an issue stabilizing in low light, it has to work a lot harder.
