So, my battery failed last fall...I was planning on doing the lithium and was excited to get the weight savings, but it happened and I could not get the new battery. So, maybe sometime in the future.

I was one of the first female pilots hired by NASA/JPL. we flew this in 1986 and at was awesome,, so simple and easy compared to a Lear,, which just frankly wants to kill you lol. I love this airplane! I honor you all for believing in the citation ,, a perfect simple jet as it should be. I am so jealous,, turning 75 next month

Its hilarious how so many people seem to think there's a difference between buying decades-old used airplanes vs used cars. I mean besides the whole supposed "investment" thing and the way they also hilariously believe used planes "appreciate in value" if they are "daily" flown.

Is there not a canopy mod that allows you to block out at least part of the exposure to the sun.

Love the polished aluminum look since back in the early American Airline days. So much better than some of the garish paint jobs you see on a lot of aircraft.

What is the part protruding from under the wing that looks like it got crushed by the sawhorse at timestamp 16:20 at the center of the screen?

Great video! So what did it cost to get it airworthy? What's the all-in cost? (is that in Part 3?)

Scary! But, it's in the past now. I think the expense will just make you love this plane even more. I love it and I'll never even fly in it! That engine sounds almost as great as the 1500hp radials in the T-28s I flew in the Navy.

I actually got up close with the QSRA at Moffitt in 1991 at "The Last Airshow" when Moffit was set to close as Moffitt Naval Air Station. In 2005 I flew in the B-17 "909" at Moffitt. My grandfather was stationed there for a short perion in the 1930's (yas I'm old). Love your stuff guys, please continue

The 235’s do have a complicated fuel system. If you fly it enough, sooner or later, you’ll run out and get an adrenaline hit. I did that once with passengers and got quite a reaction. Did it more than once with just me.

Question do you do private trips in the 501 to recoup money a pay for maintenance on the jet? As well as is that a profitable business to get into?

I’ve owned a 235 and a Super Viking. On balance, the 235 is hard to beat, mine would outperform a comparable 182 and 235’s are less money. 4 adults, bags and full fuel at 150mph. Mine had mogas STC. Wish I still had it.

TBO ONLY applies to commercial applications. Don’t get hung up on TBO unless you are a commercial operator. Engine compression is just about a worthless test of engine condition too bad it is required. There is an hour long webinar presented. By Mike Bush that explains in technical detail why engine compression readings are erroneous and cause more maintenance induced engine failures than any other maintenance activity. Cylinders bore scope inspection is far superior. Use Camguard to prevent future corrosion.

I'd rather have the SR22T. The SR22 comes standard with anti-ice and air conditioning, and very well equipped with standard avionics. can't beat it.

Camguard, great for Lycoming, not needed for continental engines. Also, I am not a fan of multiweight oils, straight 50 for me but that has a lot to do with the heat in Texas.

I’m calling BULLSHIT!!! These guys are a couple of HACKS when it comes to aviation. NO ONE moves an airplane around by pulling/pushing on the prop. You run the risk of damaging the main seal, resulting in significant oil leak… sigh.
