If you wanted to power such devices from battery based power sources I bet your opinion on embedded PSU would not be the same. Much easier to get these to use a DIY battery power source if they have DC inputs like these ones.

Do any of you know how to get to recovery mode with a windows keyboard? Holding down shift/win key/alt/r won’t do anything as well as just pressing and holding down the power button. It would be very appreciated.

This was also my first entry gaming built. I no longer play games, so using this baby in 2024 as my working, schooling, and web browsing PC. It will be kept for as long as it can, nostalgia reason and it’s working perfectly. Thank you for this video, reminding us the good old days. ❤

GPU's are a fun collection, just started mine but have amassed over 20 old gpu's cos they're so damn cheap. Some have amazing artwork, and just fun to look at, it's actually therapeutic just rotating them and examining them of it's engineering! I have a cheap open air rig to test Doom and CS for fun to actually run them and easy to swap in and out. Great conversation piece too.

What a flashback. I bought a 6930 in 2012 and had it until 2017/18 when I upgraded to an i5 7600k and 1070. During that time I only played PES and NBA 2K so I didn't even need a gpu upgrade

@maxmad47712 ай бұрын
@@kawafahra not worth selling it they are what 10-15$ at most + person buying wouldn't be aware they need at least 750W PS to run stable, so probably would complain about perfectly healthy card, these are not for bargain bins, those cards use same power like 4080 or more...

Recently bought one for an AMD retro build. Replaced the thermal paste for it was hitting 95. Now, at times the screen splits in the middle (as if you have dual monitors, which I dont) and requires a restart to get the system back to normal. Installing the drivers was another nightmare :/ (I'm on windown 7 btw). I do hope this is not dead. Despite the hardships, I like it. And when it works, it works beautifully.

its a good guide but in the psu department there are some flaws... the bc lineup from seasonic is the nearly the lowes quality u can get from seasnic. caus they outsource some cheap stuff that they are not doing inhouse. if u wanted to start with seasonic u need to start with their focus line-up. i would take the msi mag a650bn over this one. i guess its manufactored from cwt but cant remember there is a yt video outthere where a guy opens 5 budget psu and the msi has the "best" for it weightclass. i guess it was the same seasonic in it. there was also the enermax maxbron ii. the msi and enermax are a much better choice and sometimes cheaper. but for a budget build the seasonic would get the job done. whatever... the seasonic was on the last place. and dont get me wrong i would buy seasonic stuff all day long but not this one^^

7:10 it is important to note, Most all intel CPUs have onboard graphics except ones ending in F and the Xeons. For example, 10100f, 11700f, 12900kf etc. For these particular processors, a dedicated graphics card would be needed.

A thing to note in this build is to ALWAYS remember to install the NVME standoff before installing the NVME. It COULD be fine without it, but if the board or drive are of less than stellar quality, that extra stress from that small amount of flex in the NVME can cause either or both parts to not function properly, or at all, or can even break the component.

Zalman T6 feels like paper, and has a top mounted PSU. I like it somehow that you dont care about the eye candy part of the pc. But, your pc parts are not that modest to not to be displayed on your desk.
