Heroquest the Original figurines are way better than the current editions.

If there is one man with the finest description of the art of Larry Elmore who resides in all the realms...its the Bard! Can you imagine a high fantasy novel written by the Bard, and illustrated by Elmore, Easley, or Caldwell?????? Truly an epic!!!!!

The best thing about Heroquest is how well all four heroes fit together. They all fill important rose in heroic questing without any redundancy or ambiguity, and any expansion or remake that would dare think new heroes are needed is clearly being designed by absolute fools!

The number of times in 8 years I've seen this video I can't believe it only has 3.5m views. One of the all time internet greats.

The fact he has three boxes of this game and all of them are beat to hell, proves that he believes every word he is saying.

I showed this video to my kids in December, and they fell in love and requested that I source a copy for them to play! Father Christmas obliged, although we had to settle for the new edition! (But it seems like faithful re-release!) Your videos still light that spark for young and old alike, so I just wanted to thank you for making them!!

Returning partly because this is a great video that gives me a good laugh & puts a smile on my face :) But also because I really think you could do this format for the upcoming Warhammer The Old World Free Company Militia box! Since it is great for creative build of its own unit, great for bitz to all kinds of other units in the army, great for bitz to other armies too, great for all human Warbands in Mordheim(And all kinds of other Skirmish games as well since humans are the standard) and finally great for all kinds of fantasy roleplaying characters!

I have got into the habit of watching 1 or 2 of your videos before bed every night for the past week, I find it helps me relax because they are so fun, soothing and just interesting, however I have come to a slight problem... I've nearly run out of videos to watch, so please Bard, for the sake of my sleep schedule... Another cracking unboxing? :D

I'm here starting the new year of 2025 rewatching this video, why? cause this is the best boardgame review of all time, beats anything The Dice Tower, Shut up and Sit Down or any others have ever accomplished. As a professional game designer myself i think of this video often, to inspire this passion and dedication that this game gave you and thus you gave to everyone else. Thanks for this video I will keep on coming back to it and hope that sometime in the future, someone, will make a video similar to this, with the passion and love, for the games I've made. But until then, this is inspiring.

Just bought the new version and you were almost spot on with your first two predictions. This said the art style of the actual figures is great (sadly they had to replace the Fimir with something stupid because of GW). The box art though is a more cartoonish version of the original game, and it is now considered for ages 14+ instead of 10+ in the nineties. The game and how it plays seems to be completely identical though.

7 years later, and the tradition continues!

This video kind of reminded me of the Time-Life Books series that had Fairy Tales and stuff with the "inappropriate for children" content dialed up to 11. They had lots of cool fantasy artwork, with lots of skeletons and naked ladies. As a 7 year old who was dropped off at the local library a lot, I really loved the Time-Life stuff, along with the occult books and picture books of poisonous sea creatures.

This is still the greatest video on KZbin. It reminds me of that happy Christmas morning I found Hero Quest under the tree. And then I'm quickly reminded of the fateful day my sister painted all the figures, including the ones from Space Crusade bright pink, and watching them melt when I tired to strip the paint off. As a professional Dwarf player, I shall hold a grudge for this act of barbarity to the end of days.
