Our Russian Blue definitely pouts when he’s not getting enough attention. It’s written all over his face!

MY RB was a "street" outdoor cat that nestled in numerous homes before I rehomed him. He was about 5 years old and quite moxie. There were no boundaries on his end. A good swat was administered if you touched say his belly or paw. He hisses in almost attach type mode if you corner him in a yard or alley. Titan spends hours outside on the wall eyeing birds and just being tranquil. Most neighbors give him a stroke when walking bye. Many feed him. He's not shy but very defensive. He’s not cuddly; mostly standoffish. He never will miss dinner and stays home every night. After all he bounced the city streets most of his life.

My Russian blue kid herself for an entire week inside a drawer untill she figured out we were her forever family. Talk about SHY!!!!!! She also BEGS FOR FOOD ANF will meow non stop untill I give some. The solution was to feed her mashed pumpkin with moist cat food. Yes she gets into all kinds of cabinets all the time

How often do you feed your cat and change his litter box

I needed to watch this video because I have a Russian Blue kitten and he is so, so naughty. I spent so much money on defusers, calming colours and put him in his playpen for time out.. 😂 I just didn't know what to do, I even took him back to where I bought him but my heart fell to my knees. So, I took him back home I just can't wait for him to totally calm down. He is going on to 9 months and I am still wondering when will he totally calm down? Your video was so insightful and I would like to learn more about my boy.

Here's my situation: 1. Play fetch: I was surprised that a cat would ever do that whenever she brought a ball and put it next to me 😅 2. Shy: no way! She starts playing and biting (🫣) right away whomever comes in the house even if they are a new person. 3. Picks one favorite: same as yours. Whoever is there to serve is just fine. 4. Attention: definitely. I would add they are also very insistent and persuasive when they want something. 5. Intelligent: yes! Opens doors, drawers and even has a great sense of humor. Like pretending not to see you or other things and then pretending to be starteled. + Mine just doesn't like too much touching. She would just start biting and scrating when the red line is crossed. Sometimes she does that randomly when she's playing.

My baby is a 6mo. Old boy. He is a bad kitty. When he gets mad he retaliates . He does play fetch. He does tear up toilet paper. He tries to run out of the door. He keeps getting into the bunny cage. He doesn’t hurt them. Please do you have any advice?

Mine fit all the traits, he was also a excellent hunter, he knew what animals belonged and which didn't on our property which includes a family of Raccoons who when they broke into our house during winter looking for food he just sat in the kitchen doorway and let the babies eat their fill from his bowl, after that we put food out for them, he did not allow them in the house, but he would let me know when their dish was empty in the morning. He never bothered the chickens , ducks or geese nut wild birds were fair game. he actually played with the Ferrets we had. Some one dumped him on our property and it took over a month to get him to trust us. But when he did he was always affectionate playful and calm. When a Rat was in are barn charged me, he tackled it coming out of no where like a grey blurr that thing was almost as big as he was but he dispatched it and dragged it over and dropped it at my feet. He was protective of me after that I couldn't go anywhere around the property without him He was full grown when he was dumped but I had him 20 years and I miss him

How long can cat's be left alone? That is a combination of age and breed, age was coved well in this video, but I did want to mention that some breeds of cats are prone to separation anxiety, and some can act out do to it. My cat who has already passed had it, though not to a destructive degree. She would wait by the front door for all or most of the time I was away from the house and she was a bombay, which is a breed that this is knowen to happen with. A conection I've seen is if the cat breed is one that is known for following their person around the house constantly, it usually go hand and hand with the likely hood of develping separation anxiety. Most the time if it's feasible it is recommended to have a second cat (or a dog if they have a good relationship can fill this roll as well) to keep them company.

Neutered my male cat, and it is so fecking sad. He is a shadow of his former self. He used to wild, active and a beast, the fecker could have been surrounded by foxes and he would have fought every last one. Now he is turning fat (even though we are feeding him less food with more quality) and sleeps practically all day. He did notice a fox in the garden the other day and was ready to chase it, but that was the only glimmer of old Milo. Personally, I think we should be in the world of allowing a female cat to carry one set of litter, then neut her, and leave the boy cats alone. Oh, the day he came home from being neuted he jumped out of my first floor bedroom window to get outside...that is how beast he was.

Used it for over 1 year and works great. Sometimes the sensor on litter is wrong, but no problems. No brainer for multiple cats. The unit would not kill the cat.

One other thing living up to the Russian blue female trait she's a diva I always preferred male cats I had lots of abyssinians great cats I mean I love Nikita but I don't usually go for female cats she's absolutely gorgeous and if she was a male cat she would be a lot more dog-like and friendly he's a primadonna

My female Nikita is 4 months old and she suddenly started fetching but she told me she wanted to do it and she'll do it it over a hundred times in an hour you know I still am not absolutely sure if she's a Russian blue only because of the color of her eyes but Sheena chartreux and she is not a British shorthair and she's not a correct and like I said she taught me to play fetch with her least I don't have to pay for a blood test but I know for sure now

With having a few rescue cats i sometimes don't have the time to sift all 5 litter boxes so i just received this exact litter box yesterday. I just set it up but my main concern is that i have 2 kittens and i worry about them using it, they're 4 months old so they're not tiny but kittens like to explore and investigate new things so I'll b keeping an eye on the box a lot just to see how it does when one of them goes inside it. I'll try to leave a response after some time watching it work. That way if anyone has half grown kittens like me then you'll be able to know if it's safe for them.

WARNING these are EXREMELY dangerous for cats, multiple cats have had their necks caught in the automatic closing door, please research the product your going to buy and test it yourself before you let your cat use it, there are sensors that are supposed to stop the door if something applies pressure or if there is something in the way but the sensors are defunct.

Great advice! I really like how your advice is always practical and realistic instead of generic tips. I got super lucky in that my cat pretty much insta-bonded with me as a kitten. Much respect for anyone who takes the time and patience to build trust with an older cat!
