Hi Sir, yes float plays major role in sending fuel through pilot jet to combustion chamber. If its not set properly then bike boggs and one more thing that effects is needle height in carburettor (video is available in my channel). Check both float and needle height, if still problem exists then set the clutch freeplay and valve Clarence.

Hi Sir, I sense the timing chain might be loose in this case since the sound occurs at 2-3 k rpm. The reason for vibration may be due to incorrect combustion taking place at different time than actual which makes the valve to close and open at slightly different positions and it causes vibration. Here you just need to open the timing chain tensioner bolt(middle bolt not side bolts) and turn it clockwise using a small screw driver (flat screw bit is better) and leave it. Start the bike and listen to the sound at rpm where you're getting the rattling sound. Here you turn the tensioner screw not too tight in anticlockwise but until you see no more rattling sound. Other case: if vibration is present during idling is caused by mis adjustment of valve clearance which need to be adjusted using feeler gauge as per company recommendations.

Hi, float will be plastic and the pin or metal part attached to it will need to be bend to adjust.

Hi Sir, is your bike have drum brake or disc brake? For disc brake there no requirement for disconnecting brake. For drum brake just disconnect the brake cable, that's it.

No sir, this is not compatible with 220 pulsar. Only til 180 pulsar its compatible. For 220 I recommend mobil super moto 20w50 or you can choose shell advanced 15w50 fully synthetic oil. Mobil you can buy original from amazon( go to mobil India official website and from there it'll redirect to original amazon buy link) Shell you can do same but I suggest to directly buy from shell petrol bunks.

Hi Sir, you can consider it for this problem(I guess carb is new then no problem with it) along with few points: so the pilot jet not supplying sufficient fuel to combustion chamber so it'll be lagging untill the main jet takes responsibility to send fuel into the combustion chamber. This is why we use choke, where choke sends huge amounts of fuel from different passage into chamber. I suspect few things- the height of needle required adjustment or the idle not set properly to heat up the engine. Fuel screw requires adjustment and accelerator free play adjustment required. Please check all above and I guess problem will be gone.

Hi priyanka, in simple words, they cheated you. For all the replacements they must provide new invoice from starting that day so that new warranty begins from that day. Just write a mail to exide that you're going to book a cheating case against the shop and company where you bought battery last time and let's see if they are going to replace it with free of cost or not.

Hi Sir, dio or any bikes have this problem and if you look at your manual then it's written to warm up engine before using at first start. If you're not maintaining proper fuel like above 1 litre this is a cause as well

@PavanKumarHB I warm up the scooter for atleast 5 minutes every morning, and fuel is always minimum half full. Even after warming it switches off at signal and does not start. I can hear the motor cranking. I can kick 10 times but it won't start. The problem is not that it switches off once starting, it doesn't start at all. Then when i turn key to off then on, it starts first time. Even after warming up it shows this issue.

@alexanderkuruvilla3094 this need inspection of sound, rocker arm, valve clearance adjustment, sparkplug condition, fuel injection system or supply. Cannot blame directly on anything without checking. Can you share the video of its crank sound? Share it to my Instagram

@@PavanKumarHB I installed new spark plug last Saturday, carburetted engine so no injectors, checked fuel line, no issues, fuel flow is good, did decarbonisation 1 year ago, new battery only 2 months old, i checked voltage its about 12.8 v, running it getting upto 14.4v, RR is good. The sound is exactly similar to this video and it also behaves like this. But it only starts if i switch ignition off and on, so definitely something electrical is resetting every time i do that. Otherwise runs very smoothly no unnecessary sounds at cruising

@alexanderkuruvilla3094 so you checked everything. Now check chain tension. So the bogging is also related to incorrect valve adjustment. Even slight valve incorrect setting leads to delay putting waste gas out of chamber and this can cause issues with bogging. As per you, there's electric issue. From battery to cdi unit check the wiring and from cdi unit to ignition key check wiring.

Hi Sir, hope you watched full video. From dead point to 1.5 turns anticlockwise for high mileage(this lags at morning start, but works best if you're a daily rider). From dead point to 3 turns for low milage and good performance. As mentioned in the video this setting is for all bikes universally.

@PavanKumarHB currently Its at exact 2 full turns, and I am riding scooter always in economy, no harsh riding, and I am getting near 40 km/l mileage... Now will keep it at 1.5 turns, lets see what happen..will update then.

@PavanKumarHB i tried this but my wheel misaligned towards left side and started rubbing on the chain cover that makes noise and marks on tyre. Why does my tyre move too left? What mistake I have done?

@PavanKumarHB And technically which side axel nut is responsible for the wheel to move left? Then which side axel nut can move the tyre towards right side so knowing this i can make it in proper position..

Thanks for noticing it. This usually happens because the lines towards both sides of axil nuts are miss aligned so the tyre moves to one side more and rubs to chain cover. My solution for this misaligned wheel is - take a thin spanner(ex 10mm) and put it between chain cover and wheel to check there's good amount of space between them. Also on the right hand side do it with swing arm and wheel. This will ensure the wheel don't touch either side & at the same time once again check the chain slack and repeat the process and right the chain.

Right side axel nut is responsible because the more you tighten right side nut, it'll push wheel towards left side with leaving less space to tight on left side.
