Great video mate. Apologies if it's already been asked, but what month did you do this trip. Also without filming stops, how long do you reckon it would take? Cheers Dave.

G'day mate, all good, I went in the last week or two of May, just before seasonal closures. I did it in 3 days, very easy 3 days, if I was to do it again, I would do it in 4 days, but only to real immerse myself in the area. I stayed at Dargo Pub overnight, highly recommend, the beer is cold, the food is delicious and the staff are awesome 👌

@@OverlandUnknownCheers, good info. We might give it a go in the autumn next year. A mate and I did a bit of Blue Rag on Saturday just gone. It was very chopped up. A local 4x4 club we met said it was the worst they’ve seen it. We turned back about 2ks in. We were not out to prove anything.
@OverlandUnknown12 күн бұрын
@dgdgbeer I highly recommend the tracks I took, such a good adventure. Oh wow blue rag was really good condition when i went there after this trip (I uploaded a video of it, did it after this video). Im the same, not out to prove anything, just enjoy the adenture and nature .

Many years ago my son and i plus two other fellows did part of what you did. It was great fun. We had the benefit of 4 men and three 4wds. To do what you did solo is a great effort. Thankyou for sharing your love of our Victorian High Country.

Hi there could I do the route with an off road hybrid 15ft van behind a 200 landy????
@OverlandUnknown12 күн бұрын
Sorry for delayed response, yeah easy mate. The main areas you'll need to concentrate is the sharp U turns on the Zeka Spur track, some have a really big drop in the turn, but if you go wide like i talk about, no issues 👍

Nice. Can’t help but hear all the squeaks your car makes (I have just redone all my linkage bushings so am paranoid thus my ear is tuned to it). Hadn’t heard of the diesel alpine additive before. Have lived in Canada and Alaska and they don’t use it at -20/-60C

Haha, Yeah, the old girl's got a few squeaks, it's been through a lot, good on ya for getting those bushings done.

Will the controller automatically switch to the solar input for charging when available when you shut the car off? Or do you have to manually set the Mode to charge via solar? Very well done video. Kudos...

my issue as a tech is that you haven't mentioned fuses. Did you install any? Should have fuse from output of battery (near battery) abd then near your load (battery box). Otherwise you run the risk of a short and potential fire.
