thanks for this learning videos about carb.i would really appreciate if you can help and explain my problem,i just bought a 1981 h.ex.nc50 with a rusted and plugged up carb,so i bought a chinese made one fr ebay and when i installed it,the gas lever throtle is totaly loose and the jet needle wont go up or down,theres just no function,so i wonder how am i gonna make it work?im just a begginner lol' thank you....

What is the width on the gap you are using?

I love the express, everything comes apart with a 10mm or a 14mm... such a simple bike to work on, great for learning how small engines run, and can be maintained or fixed or troubleshooted. I learned a lot from restoring mine, and thank you for showing how to tune this stator.

Good video but you never pointed out which is the front of the carburator, I am assuming the front is the large hole we were looking in to see the throttle slide. Many will assume the front is where the mixure screws are located. It will fit both directions.

Try using some light! They are not Philips screws and the magnets are no way near any gauges someone could use. Your video is crap.

I have an 81 Honda Express. Carburetor is leaking fuel. How do I adjust plastic float tab. My Suzuki FA50 has a metal tab to bend. I don’t see a way to adjust plastic float. Need your advice. Thanks Bob Raleigh NC

I wanted a 750, but I found a low mileage project 700 at great price that just sat for a dozen years with all fluids drained. Was pleased to find out that Honda was able to squeeze about three more horsepower out of the 700 to make up for the 50cc loss. 😁

Believe it or not this tiny battery will start the bike"! Why the fuck should we belive it if you're too damn lazy to even say what model battery it is!!! For all we know you have some wires hidden under that piece of cardboard (going to a jumper box or bigger battery of some sort) that is only under the bike when you show it start!!!! My problem is my carburetor leaks gas after 3to 5 minutes of being park I put a new needle valve and float bowl completely clean the carb and took apart and still having the same problem I noticed that you can not adjust the float any ideas that can help appreciate it.

Hey frat got a question about a crank on a 1978

Hello there! im trying to restore an old NC and just stumble on your YT channel and was wondering if I could ask you a couple of questions! My bike overall is in amazing shape - the tank is spotlessly clean and the carb too. I took the whole system apart, flushed all the old oil and gas, opened up the carb, and did a very good clean ( it was in amazing condition overall); I added new oil and gas, and the bike showed signs that was working okay. I could even ride up and down in the alley. (rough riding) I decided to tinker with the timing since that seemed to be a little off. That's when everything started to go wrong. 1 - it will not start anymore, any trick to get the timing just right? I watched your "timing video" and might still be off - but I need to do other stuff before touching it again, I think. 2 - I removed the manifold and the exhaust and basically the whole oil that was in the tank, leaked thru the whole to a bowl I added under - I mean THE WHOLE oil dripped. The reservoir is empty now. Do you have any clue about what can be happening? I did a few Googles search until I found your blog and read that some people stop using the oil tank and do the mix straight into the fuel thank. Do you recco that? Hi thanks for the video. I went to clean my 77 carb today and it is actually pretty clean. The wierd thing is I found a jet in the bottom of the float bowl. Short brass not tapered has a hole in the side and a rubber o ring, maybe 3/8" long. I had just got the bike to run for the first time since I bought it. It was running on mixed gas and a shot of carb cleaner. The carb was a pain to remove as the fender is in the way of the air box screw. It looks to be a short main jet. (No screw notch) however I already see brass in main jet tube about a quarter inch down. Are there two main jets? Do you think someone just thought it would be a place to store an extra jet? If I put the jet in it sticks out beyond the rim of the tube. Not sure what to do any ideas?

What did u push to get it to start

Hi I just bought one 78 and one 78 I understand that one was converted to premixed. Not sure why that was I am not sure which one to premix. Is there anything you could recommend I check. I'm can get both bikes to turn (sputter). I need to clean the tanks before I do too much. Do turn the key on turn the start switch to start pump the lever turn the choke on turn the petcock on and give it gas does nothing I have to pop the left lever to get it to sputter. What am I missing?

Thanks for this. I never knew that tube came out. If the bike wants to die off choke (Unless rev is applied) AND the mixture screws dont seem to have much effect could it also be the same tube causing the issue? 78' express
