awesome! just what i needed. i didn't think i'd get a video on this issue. thanks for the up mang. I did notice that my light bulb (from beatrice cycles) doesn't require opening the hole for the bulb to fit through the back. go team.

@jnori55 Glad the video helps. On yours you will need an 1157 12volt bulb. Not the 1154 6volt. But the bulb that comes with the stop/tail light should be a 12 volt bulb. Good luck.

thank you very much for that video, fixing the head light. I bought one from Ebay and it was broken and saw your video and I did as you said and it came out really good I even found the same stop and tail light model from Walmart. thank you agayn

My headlight on my yamaha razz was dim and crappy,so I took the fairing off with light in it, and put a 55 watt fog light on the frame. Its pretty cool looking and I can see at night.

this vid did help me. but your over thinking in. $3 plug in socket is all you need. the type an old 60's Chevy used.

@schpoingle Glad you liked the video. I'm sure there are many different ways to do this fix, this is just the one I think is the best. Beats buying a new light with a replaceable bulb.

I get my bulbs from a local Car Quest store. look them up online. Yeah you can run a 12 volt bulb if you want but it will be very dim if your running a battery on the bike. But if your not running a battery you will blow all your other bulbs. Doing this headlight fix and finding the 6 volt dual filiment bulbs will make everything work properly and no dim or blown bulbs.

Is my1980 honda express headlight different from yours mine is made of glass?Can the glass be succesfully be drilled thru?I mean it don't work so i haven't lost anything if it breaks.I'm just not that comfortable drilling into glass.I've got a small ceramic tile drillbit.
