The general wisdom is about 40 hours. I start by shaking it for a minute and I wear it all day. I wonder if it's possibly defective? (There was no plastic cover on the display back.) Thank you.

I left the hardened part in normal 8 percent vinegar overnight, rubbed it with my hands in the morning, rinsed it, sprinkled it with Persil washing powder, poured hot water on it, let it stand for about two hours, washed it with hands - succes.
