This show had to go through many people to approve it, and in the end, that's what they came up with and approved. Not a single Mexican was there.

When I saw the trailer, my first reaction was to google whether a druid could wildshape into an owlbear (because I thought they could only wildshape into animals not monsters/monstrocities). The first response I found was from a forum thread from over a decade ago pointing out that RAW you can't but there wasn't a lore reason for it, so it was probably a gameplay balance reason; suggestion was to add a +2 level adjustment)

I watched this earlier today. Holy shit I couldn't believe what I was watching. It's a shame the word Amityville is in public domain. Cuz this shouldbt be legal. I saw your review on the other one. I'm good on that. Damn near didn't make it through this one. Awesome review though. You did an excellent job trying to react to this not so cult classic lol.

How high were the casts and the entire crew? I'm convinced that everyone who worked on this nightmare of a movie was taking some high substance. This is what hell looks like it's scary.

I worked on this movie. I also played the chicken zombie that lets all the other chicken zombies into the restaurant. It was indeed filmed in a closed down McDonalds. Our security team made a little video about working on set, which you can check out here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3K3qn2tjqesfbM.

@@christelle3627 actually no. We had a strict no drugs/drinking on set policy. If you were caught you were immediately ejected. Not saying it didn’t happen here and there, but overall everyone was pretty clearheaded.

Before the opening credits you hear Marie say “Are they recording?” We’re basically inside Marie’s head at that point and she’s telling her version of events to the police, but reality eventually starts to bleed into it.

I am with you. I also liked Crow 2024 and I don't understand the hate. I think a lot of youtubers and "critics" joined the bash wagon because it was popular to hate on it, and very few people are like you who dared to voice their honest opinions of it.
@DIOBrando-ij2bp10 күн бұрын
I really liked this version of The Crow. It feels like a take on The Crow by way of True Romance and Kill Bill. It’s got a pretty great soundtrack too. I wasn't crazy about the new look for Eric when they first showed it off, but I think it works with the overall aesthetic of this movie. And while I wasn’t crazy about the look when I first saw it, I don’t really get the hand wringing over a new Crow movie happening; I mean it’s not like the 1994 movie came out and then 30 years later this came out, there’s three other movies and a TV show that got released between the two. The Crow feeling pain was a pretty great little inspired change, it’s such a little thing but it’s such a nice touch, it’s like: Yeah, of course The Crow feels pain. If any character should feel pain, it’s the Crow. I’m thinking it a few years we probably start hearing about this being some cult movie, and in a few more years it’s probably talked about like everyone always acted like it was this really good cool action movie. While watching this movie for the first time, when Gary Numan’s M.E. started, for a moment I thought they were playing Where’s Your Head At by Basement Jaxx. Something I found kind of interesting about it while watching this Crow movie, this almost plays like an action movie remake of Hellraiser too. Like you could just as easily have Vincent Roeg be some kind of Frank Cotton character that escaped the Cenobite, the guy that gives Eric his mission and wants Vincent could just as easily be Pinhead and the other Cenobites, and this movie’s Eric could be someone like Kirsty in Hellraiser that makes a deal to return Frank to the Cenobites. I almost wondering if there is some connection given both The Crow and Hellraiser reboots were kicking around the same studio for a number of years with who knows how many people pitching their version.

When the computer announces 30 minutes to impact, it's actually almost exactly 30 minutes later when the station hits the rings (In the runtime, that is. There might be a couple time jumps in the movie during that window).

They never strictly explain but I think they switched over from the super clean looking tech because the tech punk tech was all hard wired. Less chances of glitches and fuck ups in the tech, plus after Prometheus and covenant human began to explore the galaxy more. Meaning more humans then ever expanding into new planets and what not. So they needed cheaper tech to produce then in the prequels.

with catalog entries like Nuke'em High, Sgt Kabukiman NYPD, Nymphoid Barbarians in Dinosaur Hell, All Surf Nazis must Die, et al... the bar is high for making the gutter humor brilliant. the window dressing of all the gore, nudity, and rudeness is made tolerable for the deep diving required for all the "easter eggs" (in itself, a pun bankshot). no trope is off limits, religion, horror film habits, american ignorance, corporate absurdity, the bait&switch of disposable minimum wage workforce, never'enlisted military's "flag pronography patriotism", superficial intellectualism, hamfisted virtue signaling at the impossibly difficult situation of the First Nations' issues and struggles in the face of constant abuse from the US and being brushed aside and painted as "their" weakness against alcoholism and savages needing the civilized hand of a white savior. it can be difficult to see through the frying medium to get to the meat of Poultrygeist, but it IS there.

As you said, Troma knows its audience. Its definitely not for everyone lol. I love this nonsense. Weird thing though, this movie has some love from animal rights groups due to the depiction of how gross the fast food industry is. So... theres that! But! If youre looking for some heavy camp that has a marrrginally bigger budget and is a bit less gross but significantly more clever, perhaps hunt down "Chillerama"?
